Hamletic's Tales from the TrenchesWeek 2: The Battle for PalavenI. You won't see our backs until we are dead29:15 - x3lander | TheDoctor46N7Devices, Devices, Targets, Devices, Targets, Targets, Devices, Devices, Devices, Devices, Devices, Devices, Targets.... GO DIE IN A F*CKING TRASH BIN!!!!! II. Batarian Nobility, Didn't Know Such a Thing Existed24:08 - x3lander | TheDoctor46N7Funny game, that one. 5WS and then by the end of wave 11 I was left with just what was required to pass the challenge. Usually, it goes the other way around with Geth for me. Could be faster, too. We might redo this one, if I convince muahmuah. I always enjoy some scumbaggery with a side helping of Kishock, but he wasn't that keen on the BPP, which, to be fair, works well only on a few select kits.

Hamletic's Tales from the Trenches Week 2 II. Batarian Nobility, Didn't Know Such a Thing Existed
32:58 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)Second time I do this with the Slasher, and I have to agree with muahmuah and xelander, the BPP just doesn't work well with this setup; I barely shot it, and it turned an otherwise interesting kit into basically a grenade chucker. That said, scumbags are always fun to pitch against geths, and this match was no different. DocSteely shined with the Kishock, and I.. well, I chucked grenades and tried to lash-surf a little

DocSteely shined with the Kishock, and I.. well, I chucked grenades and tried to lash-surf a little I loved the way we moved around the map and collaborated, especially on W6 targets. It is not too difficult to shine with the Kishock, imo, when you're hosting and you're playing the BatSent = Submission Net. Plus I did not get 20HS, so I would have been executed for incompetence in the empire... As an aside note, I found this challenge to be a little tough - managed to extract with 3 ops packs and 2 gels - especially given the map, which I think greatly favors the toasters.

The team of the presents: Hamletic's Tales from the Trenches (Hardcore) :Week 3: Grissom Academy I. The unstoppable force 27:15 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)Hack - Hack - Devices This challenge turned out to be surprisingly tough, though both kits are well equipped imo to deal with Derperus. The melee requirement and some bad decisions from me, made us fail 3 times before actually finishing this. Also it went a lot easier once I decided to put CM instead of PA, but W10 devices did not help at all (though I am proud to say we managed that one quite well)... P.S. Video is live now.

It reigned the Rule of Two today. First, we did week 3 for a second time, since we weren't satisfied with the original times. Week 3: Grissom Academy I. The unstoppable force19:42 - x3lander | TheDoctor46N7Nothing much to tell here, I got into a goon/phantroll/prime/whatevah fustercluck twice and lost most of my consumables, but that couldn't deter me, nor could the turrets, Atlas rockets and other similar shenanigans; because Kai Leng is a derp who eats other people's cereal. I think we had Targets on wave 10, which officially sealed the deal that we'd be under 20 min, yet still far from clusum & Turianfangirl's time. II. Exchange Program24:29 - x3lander | TheDoctor46N7Disciple? Disciple?! Disciple?????!!!!! On the motherf*$##&king Novaguard?! If you're not gonna give me the High Lord, let me at least have the tin can opener, for God's sakes... The Huntress gets the mighty Crusader and I have to get by with that wet mop disguised as a shotgun?! Not to mention that, while Collectors are my favorite enemy faction, they seemed to have borrowed some Hack Walters space magic today and I lost 3 gels cause I came out of the charge animation instantly dead! Ugh... Add some chaotic spawns unsuitable for nuking and we once again fell short of the desired time. Week 4: Sur'Kesh I. Metal Geth Salarian (Snake? Snake!? Snaaaaaaake!)21:47 - x3lander | TheDoctor46N7We had one epic wave 6 before our successful attempt. Got devices and employed, even if I say so myself, some outstanding teamwork and tactical supremacy to disable 2 very difficult devices (one of them was one of the 3 Jade nightmare devices). This included a strategic missile, bitch-slapping a Ravager and dancing around a brute to get aggro away from muahmuah, while he tackled the nightmare devices, professionally tucked away from the Primes' line of fire. Sadly, he got spectacularly synced on wave 7 and time was gonna be shit, so I suicided. After that one, we naturally got 2x Targets on our successful run. We would have gotten the 10 WS, but since we were playing for time, I went Prime hunting after expending my last missile (yay wave 10 Targets on Jade!) and unfortunately got downed once. p.s. GI is stupidly powerful, even with the Viper. II. A Million Ways to Die (and the Bloodpack Knows Them All)22:05 - x3lander | TheDoctor46N7Aaaaand 2xDevices... Think wave 10 was one of them, to boot. At least I got to bitch-slap Rippaz to my heart's desire. Love me two times, baby, love me twice today...

Got lucky with objectives. N6.I where everything that could go wrong, went wrong. With shit objectives, shit missiling (one left for wave 10 and targets didn't switch), average play and you end up with a 50+ min solo. Probably could've done this in <40 easily, but I don't want to do it again.

The team of the presents: Hamletic's Tales from the Trenches (Hardcore) Week 4: Sur'Kesh
I. Metal Geth Salarian (Snake? Snake!? Snaaaaaaake!)26:21 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)Devices - Targets - Hack This map is not an easy one, especially against geth, but the two characters more than made for it. And I derped badly the first three waves so we got our 5WS at the end of W8. As a wise man told me, the decoy was a lifesaver (I was the other character). Also I almost forgot how they turned the proud Viper from ME2 into a peashooter in ME3... II. A Million Ways to Die (and the Bloodpack Knows Them All)
36:17 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)Escort - Escort - Devices An interesting challenge due to the diversity of kills you needed. Made a lot of mistakes on this one, including the loadout, so it was HT who carried us most of the way. Forgettable play from me. P.S. Videos are now live.

Made a lot of mistakes on this one, including the loadout, so it was HT who carried us most of the way. Forgettable play from me. P.S. Videos to come. The decoy totally carried me - I am quite bad at aiming with the Venom, so the extra crownd control was priceless. I find Jade to be pretty meh gameplay-wise; in general, the best way to play it is to hold chokepoints leading to one side of the map, which in duos translates to very little cooperative gameplay, outside of objectives - which can then be truly nightmarish here. And speaking of objectives, docsteely, you weren't kidding when you anointed yourself as the king of devices: we are getting them on most of our runs As for 4.II, perhaps this is a better challenge on paper than it is in practice. The krentinel can be built for this kind of diversity, but the vorcha will struggle at getting some of the kill requirements. Also, I find the natural way to take this on is to separate in the early waves to better farm medals, which runs a bit counter to idea of cooperative gameplay. It also makes it difficult to judge when it's time to join forces again. I nuked a spawn on wave 3 to get the killstreak out of the way, and I felt a bit queasy doing so, the "but it's for the medal" argument sounded a tad hollow

I. Marksman Raid (Fat TSol with Raider; Quarian Marksman with Raider)17:28 - The_Doctor46N7 | Sonashii (V)II. Just a Couple of Mercs (Turian Havoc with Venom; Talon Engineer with Lancer)25:52 - The_Doctor46N7 | Sonashii (V)III. Legacy (HI with Indra; Fat TSol with Indra)25:08 - The_Doctor46N7 | Sonashii (10 WS) (V)Big thanks to muahmuah for helping me finish this challenges Also may I add that Talon Merc is awful and there's a reason I've played him only 3 times in my life. Squishy, bugged b***d. And yet you still asked for 100 assists on 13.II challenge. You're evil, I tell you that Hamletic's Tales From The Trenches (Hardcore)
Week 13: Cerberus HQ I. You Sir, You Are a Blight! (Batarian Soldier with Raider; Batarian Brawler with Raider)27:27 - Anubita | Sonashii (V)Hack / Hack / Hack Playing as a team Scumbag is always fun, gotta admit that. Anub took Brawler because he thinks that soldier is just boring (he doesn't like Soldier class like at all.. I know - weird). Hell, I wasn't bored at all! Especially when he bleeded out 2 times. First time I left him just for a couple of seconds and then I heard Atlas crushing his sorry ass Second time was worse... During W10 hack he was stuck at some invisible Phantroll's corpse. Second one didn't wait too long to stab him to death.. Only miracle let us finish this challenge on a first try. Anub's host provided some invisible turrets, jumping enemies and all that funky stuff. But Ops Pack worked as intended at one, significant moment As for the challenge itself, I enjoyed it. Had to respec my Batsol for more nades but it was worth it. If we were allowed to use our guns more then I would've gone with max damage for them. II. Conrad Verner, Ph.D. (Awakened Collector Adept with PPR; Human Engineer with Carnifex)27:59 - Anubita | Sonashii (V)Hack / Devices / Targets That's why I called you out here Hamletic This was our second run. First one we failed mostly because of me. We were playing on my host (just in case LZ hack!) and I failed to glitch the hack on wave 10, near the ammo box next to LZ at lower side of the map. Banshee grabbed me and Anub wasn't able to finish objective in time haha, due to lagging and rubberbanding sadly. Also time was crappy so no big deal. This challenge could be much easier if we were allowed to go on our ways and kill things. But 100 assists requirement made it more interesting. Enemies were surrounding us more easly. Also change the pattern to Hack/Targets/Devices and you'll end up with the recipe for a nightmare We were lucky. I was lagging a bit on Anub's host. Only Banshees know how they didn't grab me a couple of times. Also I think I messed up my build (went with soldier to achieve 50 biotic kills!). Shame that Biotic Sphere is bugged on PC. But it was good for mooks. But I had a tons of fun. Sadly Week 14th doesn't look promising with our lag/connection issues :/

And yet you still asked for 100 assists on 13.II challenge. You're evil, I tell you that [...] That's why I called you out here Hamletic Don't blame me, blame Conrad Verner I can totally see him trying to help by overwriting biotic primers while helpfully using overload on brutes and ravagers! I wanted to make this challenge a bit weird and anti-synergistic, to honour everyone's favourite fanboy - as Pres stated in another challenge series, we are all Verners at heart, playing at being the hero - and asking 100 assists on Jade is just Verner-y enough IMO: leaving his post to come and help out at a different choke-point, because isn't that what Shepard would do? ... and I better see you shooting your teammate in between waves in the video, or I will consider this run invalid! Best of luck the rest of the way! I am sure you two will get it done

And speaking of objectives, docsteely , you weren't kidding when you anointed yourself as the king of devices: we are getting them on most of our runs .... I nuked a spawn on wave 3 to get the killstreak out of the way, and I felt a bit queasy doing so, the "but it's for the medal" argument sounded a tad hollow My friend, what made thou think I was jesting? Out of our 8 runs, 5 had devices and 3 of those were W10... I honestly cannot remember the last time I soloed without getting devices. With muahmuah on the cheese marathon we got W10 devices on at least 3 of the runs and on one we got double devices. So, in all humbleness, I do claim for meself the title of "King of Devices" and unless some miracle happens, be prepared for the worst till the end... As for that missile don't fret on it, I know it's not by-the-book, but the argument of the medal holds.

Versus Collectors. I don't even bother to do them since everytime at least one is in bottom mid, at least I have a ton of Sniper Amps
