And next time, if you have a problem with someone, just have the balls to talk to them directly. Small tip. I've had enough of this bullcrap in my real life. Talking behind someone's back and etc. And you can be sure you won't have to suffer from my entries again. I'm done. Have a nice day. First part is just generic rambling about the history of submissions in this and all other related threads. I'm not mad at others who post with the wrong format, but I'm a bit on the negative side of how little the actual submission format meant/means in this thread and the HOFs and it all has been going on long since before I was in charge of updates and is more on the head of previous management than players who submitted with the crazy formats (still you Pres). I can see why that was seeing as this thread was just supposed to be fun little thing and no reason for anyone to take it seriously or to even think into the future. And I don't see how can you apply it to yourself when your format is just fine. Second part is a request and I guess the sarcastic " I hate y" is hard to not take seriously for people who don't know me. Otherwise I'd say it's worded fairly neutrally. But I will make sure to provide a comprehensive list of people who are my requests are direct to from this point on. (You and DocSteely in this case) I suppose I could take this whole HOF bsns and social interactions more srsly but that'd be super dull. Having worked for the past two months to fix the PHOF ( Smehur can give you an idea about the task) I can understand where you come from. I have no problem with posting the runs only after I have a complete link. I also welcome HamleticTortoise's suggestion to have somewhere to point to for new entries to be fixed, as presently there is no such info anywhere. And Sonashii I'd be disappointed (and a bit sad) for you to stop doing and posting challenges after having gone through muahmuah's "terror school".

Entry format is kinda dysfunctional trash... 10WS didn't use to be a thing outside a few special HoFs until someone just randomly put some random stuff in their entry and that got copypasted and so on... You exaggerate. The only unnecessary thing in the traditional submission is the number of points in a solo. That information is never used for anything and we only record it for the sake of tradition (and because that's easier than editing all the HoFs to remove it). 10 WS and similar (like flawless, [v] and what have you) function as discriminators in some HoFs, but even they didn't, it's a valid piece of information that might be of interest to people perusing the HoFs in search for videos and such. It's true that the format is somewhat dysfunctional in the sense that it doesn't give enough info. PHOF (and gold speedruns too, I think), have the kits, maps, weapons etc, but it would only be feasible to ask for all that stuff for solo runs. Nobody would post here if they had to list all that for a full team game. In any case, it is what it is and it wouldn't make sense to poke at it this late in this game's (and this thread's) life. But what if someone were to cook up a quick text detailing proper submission formats - what does and doesn't belong in the submission, the proper way to link stuff and so on - and put it up on pres' site, perhaps under the "information" tab? This way, the next time we spot an inconsistency, we can simply point people in the right direction There.

Sonashii don't go. I know you don't know me but we're all friends here and nothing personal was meant by what was said. Besides, I wouldn't want you to miss my ceremony after all this time.

Thanks guys for the kind words, I appreciate it, but you must misunderstood me. I'm not retiring, not yet at least. Maybe I'll take a short brake from challenges, I don't know. I do know however that I did one just yesterday but I have no time to upload the video today so I will WAIT with posting it Also congrats Clyde on your N7 achievement. I can only imagine how much painful it was to finally stop leaving Volus corpses on Condor haha. It's a shame really that nobody in Biover thought about allowing us to play cross platform. Well, I guess you could always join the Mustard Race and play with controller support mod

The team of the: proudly presents: Hamletic's Tales from the TrenchesWeek 7: Dreadnought
I. They Won't Know What Hit Them (HardCore)28:47 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)II. The Immovable Object (HardCore)25:13 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)I. Escort - Hack - Escort Probably the easiest challenge we've done so far and for once we got not good but great objectives. The toys work really great against the geth. Should have been 10WS, but you guessed it, exposed myself stupidly on W9, got Drone staggered and downed by the Prime. Probably a whole different ballgame on platinum... II. Hack - Devices - Escort Interesting challenge, to say the least. Keeping the building and the LZ with the ramps is not as easy as it sounds especially on W8, but it's feasible. By the end of W9 I was out of ops and tcps (the PPR is great, but I found that you need that extra damage to kill them as fast as they come at you) and ofc we got W6 devices and W10 the escort through the killzone courtyard...

It is done. N7.3: Ariake82:05 - ClydeInTheShell (282285 pts)Hack, Targets, Targets. Obviously Targets on 6 is not the worst, but luckily I went into wave 10 with 2 missiles. Targets switched to Brutes, and the rest is history. I have a lot more thoughts but I'm completely burnt after that, so I'll come talk shit in the A.M. Congratulations, Clyde. Good to see, this place is still in motion. RL keeps me really busy for the being. Reading this thread almost makes me want to replay ME3.

Nooo, I missed it! Congrats Clyde, I knew you'd get yourself together and do it eventually. Speaking of teams...since I'm done with N7, I think I need a console teammate to run through some shit with. DistigousForest ? I'm down on PS3 from next weekend onward. I miss the good ol' 20 FPS staggerfest. Andromeda lacks the rage-inducing BS that is Cerberus. I'm still playing a little on PC and wouldn't mind plugging in my PS3 to do some challenges. We can finish our favourite FFTL series or do whatever other challenge you want. Let me know so I can unrust myself before we play

The team of the: proudly presents: Hamletic's Tales from the TrenchesWeek 8: Rannoch
I. This planet is ours (HardCore)28:52 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)II. Apology Acknowledged (HardCore)25:46 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)I. Retrieval - Devices - Hack Reading the conditions: QFI with Jav and QME with GPR, 40 HS and 50 assists it was obvious who would have to carry the load. So despite the QFI with Jav being one of my favorite characters, given that HT was hosting, I let him have her... I always run my QME with a 36656 build. The 50 assists becomes trivial once you know that the TacScan gives you assists. IMO BW made a mistake by putting this power as an afterthought to the Arc Grenade. As for how the game went, devices on W6 is not my favorite objective, to say the least. Also I was totally unaware what was happening with HT on extraction, or I would have send a grenade that way which would have meant he would have extracted, too. Hate leaving people behind... II. Targets - Devices - Hack Conditions: Jug with Spitfire or GPS and BF3 Soldier with Valkyrie 150 Weapon kills or 100 tech kills or 100 melee kills... This one was real FUN. I love the Jug, though I understand why he gets a lot of hate, given the total ineptitude (and nerve: you got the Jug, hop to platinum) with which PUGs use him. I have to give a big Thank You to Arkhne for making me understand the best ways to play this character. Also, given we were playing gold, I could afford to role-play, so I chose the Spitfire instead of the GPS - hey, what's a guy suppose to do without some style? A little comment on W6 devices (again ) : as a Jug I think you have two options for devices, either you draw the aggro away letting your teammates to take care of them or you do them yourself because with the turret and the small shield you can endure almost everything. And we got the W10 LZ Hack...

8.I, I hear both you and Xelander, the GPR is not really a good gun for the QME... the problem as far as challenges featuring the QME go is, well, to make it a challenge in the first place I was going for complementary styles here: the QFI a single-target monster that has issues containing rushing units, the QME an area-of-denial supporter, staggering high-priority targets and using atlases for tech-bursts/fire explosions that would wipe units around it... and while the dragoon/phantom staggering part kind of works, dagger is such an open map that nothing is ever safe from the QFI. Fun fact, I had at first slotted 100 assists for this one, but the QFI is so strong, she'd have to resort to light meleeing units to get assists As for 8.II, I am still waiting for a brave team that opts for the melee requirements I went in without geth scanner for this one (can't use it all the time, that'd be boring), and as usual I dropped about a million times viewer discretion is advised on this one (even more than usual, that is). That said, I think this one is a pretty easy-going, fun challenge (on gold)!

AW,pls.RL doesn't prevent you from playing that crap MEA.Every time when you are online, you are playing MEA.

The team of the: proudly presents: Hamletic's Tales from the TrenchesWeek 9: Leviathan
I. The Lost Are Still Fighting (HardCore)42:52 - HamleticTortoise | DocSteely (v)Retrieval - Retrieval - Retrieval This was by far the most difficult challenge for me. Fighting the hardest hitting faction, on Ghost (lots of open lines) with two flimsy characters and two decent guns, you need 20HS each, 75 tech kills (this one's easy) and only one can use gels - that one has to carry the medi-gel transmitter. And no GS. I am a scrub, I love my GS... I chose the Hunter, which is by far my favorite Vorcha and let HT deal with medigels. We failed our first three attempts, at least twice because I could not finish waves without gels. Now you'd ask how the hell did it take so long with 3 retrievals? Simple: got grabbed (without melee) on W5, 'cuz I did not hear the crab behind me, I heard him in front of me. HT finished the wave like a pro. Another "proud" moment of mine is a suicide by A-bomb on W10. Luckily, HT was not far... I do not want to redo this challenge. Let others, who might take the time to watch the video, learn from my mistakes.

Looking over my N7 thread I saw Arkhne 's remarks about the difficulties the PS3 players face. I remember them vividly, as they were one of the main fun-killers for me on PS3. So I'd like to make a suggestion and would like to run it through people that are more acquainted with the challenge system than I am, like xelander , HamleticTortoise , Smehur , AW_FC_1986 and especially to the two PS3 heavyweights with whose work I am familiar with, q5tyhj and @fmulder : Would giving the permission for PS3 players to use Armored Compartments on Collector challenges even on Hardcore difficulties be too much?Since I was not a part of the old BSN, I do not know if such a suggestion was made before, so apologies in advance if I just reinvent the wheel.
