Well that's the point isn't it.  Andromeda had shit when it came to world building. I never said Drew was a good character writer. I always thought Mac Walters did a pretty decent job when it came to characters. Overrated or not he still one of the best damn writers BW has. And ME1 will always be better than Andromeda, especially if we're talking about story.

Yeah, a much better Bioware.

Seriously, Bioware needs to look at their back catalog of games and ask themselves "what was it about these games that put us on the map?"

Hope they will bring the franchise back to the milky way, back to the galaxy we know and love, which still had a lot more to be explored.

I wish they'd do that also. But as of now BW seems to be more focused on MP and combat oriented projects. I'm really tired of blaming EA for everything, but this shift in BW interest is undoubtedly due to EA decisions. I'm sure if given the choice and artistic freedom BW would reel things back to how they once were. But the simple fact is they can't, and combat oriented games with MP sales. Just look at the praise Andromeda gets on this board. The only thing semi-decent in that game was the combat and most people here are in love with it. Games that take story and characters seriously aren't well regarded these days, which is sad.

Hey, there's a thought. Andromeda cost, what, $40 million? And that game had all sorts of problems placed on it by EA that screwed up the development. If you won the lottery you could afford to bankroll the whole game and probably get EA to agree to let you do whatever you want with it since the franchise is currently dead. 
Hell, I would start a new studio with all the best people from ME1 and DAO and make a new Mass Effect in my vision.
