There's not a single option I subscribe to. In a nutshell, and since I believed the kotaku article, I didn't really expect DLCs. Apart from the Quarian one to be porecise, since I believed that to be in production, going by the hints in the endgame.
I'm mildly pissed off, because of the lose ends and the possibility that they always wanted to tie them to books and MP. Which would mean I bought an unfinished product. By design unfinished.

I like Andromeda but it was pretty obvious it wasn't getting DLC seeing how quickly EA and Bioware moved on to Anthem.

I was sad that another good thing has come to an end. I felt grateful for the surprise release of Andromeda & all the fun I had playing it. I am sad other people did not like it & I tried my best to not let my disappointment turn into anger and resentment towards others.
I've also did my grieving yesterday, and moved on.
No "other" option on the poll, so no vote.

They don't wanna continue with Keet, Jaardan, Scourge or Quarian Ark ? Fine. But people who buy MEA deserve some closure on Ryder's storyline and their companions.
It's absolutely not fair just to cut their story in the middle just like that. Personally i feel like a fool for buying MEA as a preorder. Bah, that i buyed MEA at all.
So i will keep my promise from May - no DLC, no closure ? Never again will by any game from BW.

I gave up on Andromeda a couple months ago and probably wasn't going to play any dlc anyways, but its still sad. Sad that Andromeda was so disappointing, sad they weren't able to salvage it, sad what it may mean for the future of the series (a long break, if nothing else).

I'm sad, because honestly I had fun with the game and hoped for more with the characters and setting. And Bioware DLCs are usually grand old fun.
And even assuming that we get MEA2 as soon as reasonable*.... It'll be a few years, with Anthem and DA4 and whatnot. I'M NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER, BIOWARE. PANDER TO ME. I WANT MOAR SPACE OPERA AND SPACE FRIENDS
*A pretty hefty assumption, obviously

Welp, I'm just disappointed by the whole thing; the state the game released in, other issues I had with the game itself, and now the knowledge that those loose ends will never get tied up in game format. I mean, I expected this because I leaned more towards believing the Kotaku article when it came out (I remember Kotaku reporting on the No Man's Sky delay and that ended up being true as well, even though some inconsolable fans refused to believe otherwise), but I started feeling a slight bit of hope with all the Quarian teasing that seemed to be going on, only to see this recent announcement.
What upsets me most is that Bioware/EA decided to wait this long before letting fans know that they were just going to abandon the game. I don't get why they didn't just say so sooner. I was mainly disappointed by Andromeda, but I did get some enjoyment out of the game, I mean, I at least finished one playthough, and I was looking forward to DLC. The game had potential and DLC probably could have helped make the game more enjoyable. Welp, here's to hoping Dragon Age 4 doesn't suffer the same way Andromeda did.

I don't really fit any of the choices. I think it is sad, and is very disappointing for those who loved the game, and the series, especially after waiting 5 years for the games arrival. Personally I'm not too sad and I probably wouldn't have got it unless it reviewed well and was not open world in style. I have a suspicion it might have struggled for numbers to buy it, and it seems to be expensive to produce content for MEA. It sounds like there were not enough staff who built the game still working there so that makes it even more difficult.
I think the mystery around the benefactor should have been in the main game. The reasoning behind spending all those resources and going to Andromeda in the first place always seemed extremely weak to me. To hint at an actual reason behind why and possibly how, and then not finish it, was extremely frustrating. I didn't really care about the other plot points that were left hanging.
Despite all it's flaws, I still enjoyed the game. I just recently started another play through although I have very little time to play games at the moment.
There will almost certainly be another Mass Effect game in the future, unfortunately I doubt it will be for quite a while. I don't personally think it should be set in Andromeda although I acknowledge a lot of the most ardent fans think it should.

I guess a blend of 1 and 2, but neither really matches up with how I feel about it. I think it's good news for me personally, since it means we're more likely to get a MW game and I would love that. But I don't think Andromeda sucked. I haven't put a single minute into it and don't intend to because the premise doesn't interest me. Not out of hatred, not a boycott or anything like that, but it's just not for me. At the same time, I feel bad for people who were genuinely hyped for this game and I especially feel bad for those who enjoy it, because seeing something you love get cut off at the knees isn't a good feeling. I know. Because that's how I felt about the ME3 endings. And that's why something unfortunate like this is still a net positive in my eyes, because it gives me hope for another MW game.

Right now I can say I'm pretty disappointed at Bioware and EA, after a day or two I'll get over it. Since I already finished ME:A it will be uninstalled so I
can free up hard drive space, which will be needed for a few new games that somewhat interest me, there going to be releasing in the next few months.

I am totally miffed.l easily could have checked boxes 3, 4, and 5. Whether this is EA or Bioware or both, it feels like a slap in the face to those who enjoyed the game. Clearly this was never intended to be a stand alone game.... so I can't help but feel cheated...
It doesn't feel like a good business decision to me. They released the game before it was ready, but patched it up. Many of us liked the game and liked it even more patched. They claimed sales were good. So now that the game is in good shape, the haters have quieted, and you have a chance to almost remarket you abandon ship? Why would I even care about a future MEA game with no DLC to tie the story together and sustain my interest. And how can I trust either Bioware or EA, that they won't abandon other games? I am sure I am not the only fan to think twice before purchasing a bioware/ EA game in the future.
I personally did not agree with much of the criticism the game received. I don't know if the negative press influenced. If it did, I certainly wish Bioware or EA would give their game fans at least some consideration. I think those that disliked the game the most were those who wanted ME4 I do feel owed, rightly or wrongly, an honest and transparent statement as to why they made this choice and an apology for waiting so long to disappoint.

None of those fit how I feel. Frankly I saw the writing on the wall and never expected DLC after they started to move people out of BioWare Montreal. Andromeda to me was as finished product since to me the game was about finding a place to settle in Andromeda there was nothing more to tell in this game. If I was to be upset at the fact they left loose ends in the game I would have to start getting upset at books, television, and now movies as well for they all leave hooks for future content that might not happen. I remember the feeling when Robert Jordan died with not finishing all of his Wheel of Time books, they were able to get another author to finish Wheel of Time, but still there was a chance it wouldn't work out.
The only thing that could be remotely considered making me angry is according to AskAGameDev EA/BioWare made this decision months ago and only now are telling us and said this is common for BioWare.

Bioware worked hard to turn Andromeda into a stable decent game with lots of potential for future expansions. And now they drop it just like that. A puzzling move that really does not make much sense for me, but who knows what happened behind the scenes. I'm a little disappointed, I'd love to play expansions that improve on the game and make it better and bigger. I think DLC in the ME-3 Leviathan quality would have been very successful. And I REALLY expected it to have some DLC; it was totally set-up and ready for future content.
I'm not boycotting Anthem though, its hardly a game I'm interested in in the first place, and the gaming market is HUGE so I won't waste any time on petty butthurt. Besides, taking an unbiased objective look at Anthem I think it looks spectacularly generic, so far I find it difficult to picture it as a massive success in the magnitudes of the other well established AAA online shooter games.
The only reaction I have right now is a big fat shrug. :poker:

6. I feel indignant because EA's lousy business practices go unpunished by the market. They have a long record of shafting loyal fans and showing little respect for cherished franchises. These assholes have been voted America's worst company twice yet they're still mucking through. EA needs its punishment, dammit.

If there is respect towards the customers, sales do not need to justify production of subsequent material, especially coming from a major developer like Bioware.
Take Titanfall 2 as an example: it only sold a 1/4 of its predicted sales. It is a financial fiasco beyond Andromeda's levels. Nevertheless, it has been receiving a steady flow of new content for 10 months and there is still more to come. We often blame EA for Bioware's shortcomings, but guess what, Titanfall 2 is also an EA game. Its developers, however, showed us what it means to take commitment to their fanbase seriously. Bioware, on the other hand, has showed us how not to give a damn about their product, their image and their fanbase.

Not surprised by the news, found ME:A pretty disappointing and meh so I wasn't pushed on continuing the story through dlc. More so sad for the ME franchise and how it has bowed out. Maybe, maybe they might dust off the cobwebs in the future buuuuuuuut I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Sucks for people who liked this game, stay classy Bioware.

3, then 4, then 5.
3 - They teased the Quarians. If this is resorted to DLC, that is not just bad, but a pathetic moment of the video game industry. This isn't the same as Isabella in DAI MP, or Collectors in ME3 MP (but the kinda Citadel DLC).
4 - Ideally, yes, at least 2-3 DLC should happen, and focus on resolving loose ends as it is a terrible precedent to leave things as they are, at least without some sorta MET thing of 'oh an ending to this trilogy is coming soon'.
5 - This whole mess has me uninterested in patronizing Bioware (otherwise than MEA DLC) in the future and I'm so far not going for Anthem, making sure to remember to not go for SWTOR purchases, and only vaguely interested in DA4. Of course this can change, but this is where I'm at this year, and it may maintain a year, two years, three years from now.
At the very least, I think Bioware kept people hanging on for what should be one DLC that proves that this game can be better and this series, and Bioware games overall, frankly, can be responsive to the audience and be worthy of their .. well not just money, but even attention. Its a big industry and I get the sense that Bioware is progressively fading away from its spotlight, even if slowly.

It's kinda stupid to play the game and see the heavy hinting of DLC at the end now, lol. Right? Technically it can be treated as sequel tease of a continued Ryder (at least I'd hope Ryder) story, but that only really fits if there's a game coming in 2019, which there very likely isn't (2019 may be a postponed Anthem, or a DA4). Its clearly DLC stuff, and like much of the writing, done somewhat haphazardly. Its there, we can't ignore it, and it may remain as a mark of how Bioware doesn't treat their product appropriately for the sake of their customers. It isn't even the same as figuring out about where that orb went, or what Aria's territory is up to.

For me a mix of 4 and 5 but I wouldn't say I'm angry per se more disappointed that DLC's not coming but at the end of the day I still have a game I enjoy playing so I'll continue to do so. I'll just have to do it without DLC's and headcannon the rest.
