No new character kit.
No new gear.
Official ending of support.
The biggest joke of the not-update: $10 uncommon character kits.
Half of me was compelled to post this because... well every week there has been at least a new piece of gear with an appropriate topic discussing/sharing that information. And I see no reason not to bring attention to the big fat pile of nothing they released to us this week.
The other half was honestly to bitch. And I mean, I get that there are some that are tired of hearing me, but seriously man... How far does the bar have to sink from these half brained monkeys at the studio for the people to start calling them out for their half brained monkey efforts? Should the community responding in kind not be what is deserved?
I don't even have the mental fortitude to go into the largest point of idiocy this side of the developed world that is the $10 character pack.
Each day has me wonder more why this atrocity hasn't just been released to the people already. This title is just screaming louder and louder each day "mod me and take care of me the way my parents never could."
Hasn't anyone called video game protective services on these clueless parents yet who are clearly just in this for the literal check? They only even remember that they have a child on their weekly public live stream outings. It's like they lock them in the attic the rest of the week yet still pretend to be doing their jobs.
Maybe the put up the uncommon kit packs to fund themselves the clue they so desperately need to be able to buy.

Due to lack of gear this week, I was able to accumulate 960 mission funds, bought a random characters, and it was batguard the scarfy guy, the only one UR characters I did not unlock yet. So, no, really, I'm not complaining, I don't miss stronghold package or whatever else they were going to dump on our heads. IMO, there are 2 good pieces of gear and I already have both. I'm talking grenade capacity and expert package for slightly lower cooldown and a bit moar hurrdurricane. There might be some way to use other things but really, there is little point in this whole gear thing in MEA, it is extremely weak compared to ME3, watered down into almost insubstantial nothingness.

I did the same, had built up a massive amount of mission funds due to having most of the equipment packs anyway, only the warfighter was available and i didn't want it, so bought a random UR.. got Krogan Gladiator XIII. Although it has to be said, after opening this card, i had not a single UR card appear in Reserves packs for 9 more openings, so it got me wondering if they've actually counted this mission fund bought card in the counter for whether you've had an ultra rare or not? (pity timer?) Due to lack of gear this week, I was able to accumulate 960 mission funds, bought a random characters, and it was batguard the scarfy guy, the only one UR characters I did not unlock yet. So, no, really, I'm not complaining, I don't miss stronghold package or whatever else they were going to dump on our heads. IMO, there are 2 good pieces of gear and I already have both. I think the real consquence from that livestream and statement from Bioware, is much less players on. Since yesterday, I've noticed a distinct lack of players on, and it's not even the challenges sending everyone to a different difficulty. Far fewer lobbys too compared to last week even. And loads more with hacked lobbys in public from players who no longer care.
Whilst it was occasionally quiet before, it wasn't during the day hours I'm online. What a change 1 day makes.

There might be some way to use other things but really, there is little point in this whole gear thing in MEA, it is extremely weak compared to ME3, watered down into almost insubstantial nothingness. the only gear that was worth having was juggernaut shields and they bloody nerfed it, stil shotgun/melee gear is bugged so you can one shot mooks on gold with a headbut ... also theres 4 gears that haven't appeared in the store yet and none of them were available to buy this week ..... seriously if there going to stop supporting the game they could at least unlock everything and let us progress, new colossus isn't out for a while so its not like most people will be moving on any time soon ..... |

But considering in ME3MP they never fixed the Talon Mercenary after release, I'd say they don't even care about unveiling a few "new" rehashed characters (new armor but same skills, except for Warp) only a small percentage of the player base (the one that read about the datamine) care about. |

This is such a disappointment for a follow up to 3. I only hope they will switch dev to people familiar with the series going forward. 6 months of support is an embarrasment.

Ive given up playing altogether after 5 months which is crazy cos I only stopped playing me3 after 18 months. No amount of characters or UR weapons that ill never get will bring me back

I'll probably play through it again someday, long after the MP servers are deserted. I'm pretty sure the MP data tables that were pulled had place holder values for the pathfinder guns. I think getting those in MP is far more likely than getting out beloved Shorty in SP. |
