I don't have narcissistic personality disorder, so I can't imagine enjoying someone else's sadness or hoping something other people like that I wasn't interested in would fail.

I'm sad about Andromeda.
Don't care about Anthem.
Hope DA4 is released and succeeds.
And in spite of some of the ways by which they've disappointed me, I'm still fond of BioWare.

I suppose I should want Anthem to succeed, if only to keep BioWare in business.  Thing is, I want BioWare to succeed in producing SP RPGs, not - whatever Anthem is to be.

I love BioWare, but it's their publisher that I hate.

The two are not the same. One is an artist who cashes EA's check. The other is a scumbag, con artist writing them.

Mass Effect - Sad. I'd be more neutral about it but the cutting off of DLC and patching just has me sour. I do appreciate that I can have (male) Ryder romance Jaal though, and the patches they did release were mostly good, but in the end I still feel highly (and just not totally; see patches) spurned as..well, I know the business itself doesn't care about me as a person, but I do feel spurned a customer. A'ight then, I have a game backlog and a closed wallet and all will be okay, in the end.
Current standing: If a new Mass Effect releases, no pre-order but interested in what they have to show.

Anthem - Nothing. I could not be more neutral about a Bioware brand title. They have shown and done nothing to make me want it, but I also don't want to be instantly booing it (especially if it ends up playing a big role in determining if Bioware studio even stays open; technically a RPG sparce Anthem doesn't stop a more RPG-involved Anthem 2, as well). If Anthem is also some way of paying tribute to their Shattered Steel history (which also separates it from what Mass Effect means), I may warm up to it. But I'd still have preferred a Jade Empire 2 release in 2018.
Current standing: No preorder, no buy, no interest besides its connection to the Bioware word and a number of developers.

Dragon Age - I hope its good, succeeds, and I hope to enjoy it. I'm open to buying it, I guess. But I'm not pleased with MEA and possibly won't be pleased at all with Anthem, so at that point (2019-2020) I have no problem with buying DA4 after launch on discount/complete edition. I like, sometimes really like DA, but rarely love it, and while Trespasser did hype me up, everything from Bioware since (including even SWTOR related stuff) has me just meh.
Current standing: No preorder, likely buy at some point at least later on, a little interest.



Way I see it today is that the next couple of years will determine whether I even give a damn about 'Bioware' anymore. I think they may have lost me as a fan already, at least for now. I care enough to post here though, right? Worst case I spit in their direction and walk away. Best case I'm a fan again, though I doubt a surprisingly great Anthem and a good or better DA4 will have be as a kind of superfan (ME2-ME3 era) though. It'd take a cleaned up image and a fantastic new Mass Effect game to do that, I think.

Oh yeah - I don't love or hate Bioware ATM. I may be 'worse' than hate: 'close to not being arsed'. What's worse than a hatefest for one seeking profit is no one talking about you.

For me, the trust is broken. It was already on shaky ground, but I kept offering up my time in exchange for BioWare's art. The art has suffered, the prices are climbing (not matching the quality, but just using marketing analysis without any real input from the customer base) and I'm getting older. I'm done. I don't doubt the skills of the lower-level developers, but BioWare as a whole is lost to me. EA has done a better job of hurting the faithful through disappointment and failing to deliver on the hype than the Roman Catholic church (and they were convicted of pedophilia).

Indifferent about MEA DLC. If it had come and got good reviews I might have gotten it on sale at some point. I'm not distressed about there not being any.
DA4 I have only mild interest in. Not a fan of anything that came after DA:O. If reviews are good I'll get it on sale.
Anthem, no interest at all.
BW as a whole, sad to see what they have fallen to. Used to be one of my favorite dev's and have loved many of their games. Now they are firmly on my 'do not pre-order' list.

Voted for Love BioWare.

Also of note : Sex On Fire by the Kings Of Leon is on.

I voted for Hope DA4 succeeds but would have voted for Hope DA4 is good if there was an option.
