Though I love Wrex and Grunt, I think I'm going with Drack. He can do what needs to be done without clinging to the old feuds between races but still drop a guy into a bottomless pit.
EDIT: Replaying MEA and have re-evaluated. For whatever reason, Drack isn't quite grabbing me as much this time around. I'm changing my vote to Wrex. Thinking about how all the annoying crap he did has always been to help his people. I'd say he's done more for the krogan than ANY krogan we've seen. And I mean ANY krogan. Just the same, don't stab him in the back, because he'll come at you on the Citadel (unless you killed him on Virmire).

I had a chat with Kesh's writer over Twitter yesterday who shared the fact that Kesh keeps the temperature in Tann's office cold on purpose. Makes me love her even more. Do you have a link to her twitter?

In Order:
Drack, Grunt, Wrex.
huh, alphabetical too. lmao
Wrex is cool, but I guess I never really got the hype? Maybe because I always had ashley in my squad and then obviously the other spot has to go to Garrus so... Liara, Kaidan, Tali and Wrex never left the normandy much and Wrex on the normandy just rambles about the krogan much like how tali is an info dump on quarians.
Grunt was hilarious because of how green he was and just the random comments he made. He was always fun to take along.
But Drack was just more complex than the other two I think, what with his granddaughter connection and the feeling of how no one really needs him so he's just out here to kill kett. Plus the banter he has with your teammates like PeeBee in the nomad. Maybe it's because I'm older now and I sympathize with the get off my lawn grandpa type or just because it's the fresher game in my mind right now? who knows? lol

If it weren't for the Reapers, the Krogan would be extinct. That's how my Shepard sees it.

I gave a vote for Grunt, but just because he's so far behind the other two. I love all 3, but Drack is really more complex.

In MEA, I'm certain everyone on the Nexus would have died without her presence. She was probably the most vital being of any species - things would have been worse with the krogan who left, no one would have been capable of dealing with repairs to the Nexus....so, yes, she's awesome, but needed right where she is.

Drack was like the grumpy grandpa I never knew I wanted, so Drack totally wins the krogan contest (though it's close, I will never forget Grunt's "Heh heh heh" and Wrex being the only one going "Shepard! My friend!" in ME2 ) Oh and this exchange is legendary

I actually like all three of the krogan in the poll quite a bit, and all for different reasons. Also love Grunt's laugh, and really love him in the Citadel DLC. Wrex, too, shines there. Those two just have fun! I think that's what krogan can be when they're not watching their society slowly die off and 99% of the eggs fail to hatch. Give them some love and they will love you back! My favorite part with Drack is when he drops that jerk down that bottomless pit while uncovering evidence against Spender (who I also wish got that treatment).

Can't make this choice...
- Wrex was the only one really happy to see Shepard in ME2 (to the point of trying to give him/her a hug). - I consider Grunt Shepard's boy. - Papa Drack is a combination of both with a bit more crust on the outside. He also reminds me of my maternal grandfather.

I haven't played Andromeda yet so I can't weigh in on Drack. Between Wrex and Grunt I prefer Grunt though Bakara and Charr are my favorite krogans Charr is cute but what has he done for his people? The galaxy at large? Bakara has got something and Grunt just kind of went along for the ride. Wrex, though, wanted to change the course the krogan were on long before the events of ME1, which led to his father attempting to kill him. Then, by ME2, he'd returned to Tuchanka and reunited the clans. In ME3, he actually sends troops to Palaven - homeworld of the race that actually unleashed the genophage (since the Citadel Archives suggest the salarians weren't actually prepared to do so, at least not then) - and personally showed up on Earth not because it was the right thing to do but because he would follow Shepard straight into hell. Bakara? She's cool but she was dead without the combined efforts of Mordin and Wrex (Shepard made it a little less bloody, I think). I know that technically Wreav could have stood in for Wrex but I see him as the equivalent of a dead Leliana showing up in DAI. Her behavior wasn't quite like it had been in DAO (not IMO, though I confess to not having played DAO very many times). Wreav was a plot device, that's all. Wrex was the true driving force. Drack you haven't seen. He's cool and all but at the end of the day he abandoned his people while they were still struggling under the genophage.

I don't see Drack as abandoning his people, he's old, very old, he just want to see one last thing before the end. He didn't come to Andromeda for a new start, just for a new graveyard. Also, he might be willing to protect his granddaughter

The galaxy at large? You just said why I like him My favorite characters in any story aren't necessarily the plot important ones. As for Wrex, I used to really like him. But I'm not really a fan of how the genophage arc went down in ME3, even if I do think it was the best written part of the game. And since Wrex is the one advocating for curing the genophage, I tend to associate him with the parts of that arc I dislike.

Wrex is my favorite cause I always seem to go back to the power set up when I think of companion polls-and Wrex is just more useful in combat than the other 2. Though storyline wise-it'd be hard to say which of the 3 I like best-thus why I let the powers decide for me!

Grunt > Drack > Wrex, Well imo. I guess I felt like my shep was always looking out for Grunt and practically adopted him, so he'll always be my favorite. I love the other two as well though.

Its between Wrex and Drack. Wrex is probably my favorite character in the original trilogy because he's funny, has the most interesting arc, several possible outcomes, and is pretty likable in general.
But as others have said, Drack is a bit more complex and is unlike most other Krogan. He's world weary (for lack of better term), grizzled, and tough. But he's also laid back, has some of the best lines in the entire series, and is generally super likable.
I think Drack wins for me. But I also like Dagg and Wreav also.

Gah, don't make me chose between Uncle Wrex, Baby Grunt and Grandpa Drack, I can't!
All three Krogan squadmates deserve equal amounts of love;
Wrex for his transformation from a burned-out merc, to an almost messianic figure capable of uniting the Krogan clans. Grunt for his youthful, boundless enthusiasm to seek out and test his mettle against whatever the galaxy has to offer. Drack for being a grumpy, badass grandpa, whose age has given him a sense of wisdom/perspective that many Krogan lack.

I've always said that the ME games tend to have likeable Krogan characters. I can honestly say I like all three of the above (Wrex, Grunt and Drack) - all different in their own way and likeable for different reasons. Hell, even minor Krogan characters can make you smile, like the one trying to get some fish in ME1, or Vorn in MEA being a doofus-sweetheart, something you don't expect - and, of course, Kesh - looking out for her people but not incapable of keeping the bigger picture in mind and being the first to express any kind of friendliness to the Pathfinder out of the leadership circle. There are more of course, but I'll keep it to the listed three. Grunt being the unnatural wrench in the mix. Confused about his birth, living with others memories, yet eventually ends up like a surrogate son to Shepherd. Seriously. If his sacrifice scene in ME3 (whether he survived or not) didn't move you in some way, or Shepherd playfully telling Grunt s/he loved him after his hilarious 'birthday' shenanigans, you have no soul.
Wrex - a traditional Krogan, eventually breaking those chains and trying to lead his people by example into better days in a way other Krogans are hard-wired to be incapable of. If most Krogan were like him, Krogan relations with other aliens would be infinitely better, but without sacrificing their bad-assery. While I'm sure a lot of players regard Garrus as Shep's true bro, Wrex is up there. Giving Wrex that bro-shake before the genophage mission is one of few paragon prompts I simply can't ignore as a renegade, even if he was being very pushy about the whole ordeal. He's stubborn and set in his ways, but those ways are better than the majority of his brethren. He's one of few I make a conscious effort to keep alive, even if it costs me Mordin (one of my all-time faves). Him randomly leaping out of a window to crash an ambush never fails to make me laugh.
Drack... Hands down my favourite character in ME:A. Why? Because while he is blatantly a Krogan fossil in both attitude and demeanour (and hey, who doesn't love the 'old man' trope?), his angle/story is easily relatable. A grand-father fussing over the youngster(s) he cares about, wondering what the future will hold and making an effort to use the last of his old life to make sure it goes smoothly for them, with no actual care for himself in the process. I can shamelessly admit that the first time I encountered that med-lab scene with Drack was the one moment in ME:A where my eyes got a bit damp due to a mysterious whiff of onions in my room. If we ever get more MEA content and it in any way involves Drack dying, I know I'm in for an eye-wash. You're led to think he cares about nothing but bashing in Kett skulls and being Mr.TypicalKrogan, then realize that's just a side-effect of his desperate need to keep his granddaughter safe, and eventually the squad too. His dialogue with Vetra on the tempest and out during missions is really touching, trying to give advice to a Turian thrust into a motherly-position without choice. V-"I wish you raised us, old man." - D-"Ha, you'd have ended up so much worse!" -- those two are my non-loyalty combo every time I play this game, but it's mostly down to Drack.
So, who do I like out of those specific three? All of them, but Drack pips the others to the favourite post by a small margin, purely because you don't need any kind of Krogan know-how to invest in his story - a story he'll express through dialogue with almost all of the crew in a nice way, but mostly revolves around one of the other few 'nice' Krogan in the entire game.
