Ok, technically this is not a story or lore post (well, maybe in a sense it's lore) but as there is no ME General discussion board, I'll put it here (mods, feel free to move if necessary). The question is, what would you like to see and what do you think we will see for Mass Effect's 10th anniversary in November? Of course, CDPR just set the bar extremely high with their video for the 10th aniiversary for the Witcher series: Kudos to them! I thought it was just the perfect thing to do on this occasion. But hey, traditionally BioWare knew how to make great videos for their fans as well (I'll remind you of their N7 day Video in 2013): Now, the franchise has obviously gone through a rough patch this year unfortunately, so do you think BW will end it on a high note with a great salute to the community or is it going to be silent? Can they even do anything without looking like hypocrites after canceling Andromeda DLC and basically putting the franchise on ice? I actually would enjoy seeing a Video, maybe similar to the Witcher one. Something in universe with some Trilogy voice actors, Despite everything, I think it would be a shame not to do something special this N7 day. So what would you like to see and what do you think we will see? (And please, try to keep this positive or at least neutral. It's about what to do to celebrate the franchise, not really about its future or anything like that.) |

Ali Hillis saying "By the Goddess, its N7 day. Happy 10th anniversary. Ike Amadi say Happy N7 Day you primitives. Freddie Prince Jr saying, To all you lola's and loco's, Happy N7 Day. Keith Szarabajka saying ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL and Happy N7 day. Brandon Keener saying Happy 10th Anniversary and make sure everyone is doing some calibrating. And so on.

Not sure what they are going to do this year, but I doubt it would be with any of the voice talent since they are all still on strike. So it would be more like the promotional video for Andromeda where you have BioWare staff talking about what the game means to them and that type of video has a different type of vibe.

I would only care if they announce a remastered trilogy or something; which I don't put the odds very great as the games will have to be on Frostbite. Anyway, that's like creating a new game from scratch. However, there were rumors of a remaster being a thing, so I suppose anything is possible.

You mean do a video that borderline breaks Geralt's character, just to have the entire cast of W3 in it? Tell me. How is Olgierd more important than Djikstra? Why is Ves (and thus presumably Roche) in there if you can choose Iorveth (who, by the way, makes no appearance in W3, being handwaved away) and completely ignore Temeria's best in the third game? Seems like forcing canon down by throat if you ask me. Of course, Witcher never did very well when it came to recognizing your choices from previous game. Even current game choices can be rather... dubious in their recognition. I'd expect them to do better than this, rather than just break their chief character for a fanservice... It annoys me a bit. It's a lot like Steam versus Origin in terms of customer support. Steam's support is... erm, existant? Origin's and thus EA's support, however, is one of the best I've seen. Probably on par with Bohemia Interactive's. Those guys solved my problem swiftly and effectively as well. What? Der Witcher is older than ME? Only if you count the steaming piles of shit. |
