There are lots of janky animations and technical glitches in lots of games I've played... In EVERY game I've played in fact... including the 50% of TW3 I did play. I just don't let them ruin my experience of the game. I enjoy Andromeda and the animations absolutely do not bother me at all. That's not saying that they are the best animations out there... but I can happily play the game with them the way they are... They just don't bother me. The combat in this game is hella fun. I don't care if it's the best combat system out there or not. I enjoy the characters and don't care that they aren't perfectly written. I enjoy the story and don't care that it's not Pulitzer material. For me, Andromeda came together to be a whole lot of fun to play. I don't expect everyone to have the same experience. I HATED TW3 and I just don't care that a whole lot of people loved it. Andromeda was fun. Lots of parts of it were funny... as intended by the developers. Bioware likes to poke fun at all sorts of things. Why can't we have a thread about those funny moments of the game instead of another "let's all complain about the animations" avenue? There are plenty of those threads here already. I think the point is that while all games have glitches and janky animations, MEA is different cause even the MET wasnt that bad. I mean there is a gif that compares 2007 Mass Effect with MEA and you can tell that there was more effort put into Ashley's face than Addison's and that was a 2007 game. So what makes MEA different is that the MET, while having its shortcomings was NOWHERE as bad out of the gate as MEA was. Don't you get it? I still don't care. |

I don't even remember this happening! It was fixed. MEA post release support, which some people praised Bioware for, consisted in fixing all the pathetic scenes from the gifs, doing something related to a trans character and making an alien bisexual. |

My point is that the animations issues just don't really matter to me... not in any game. It's more important to me to enjoy the game. I didn't enjoy TW3 and the better animations in that game don't make up for the fact that I just did not enjoy the game. I'll fully admit that the animations in TW3 were better. Still, I enjoy playing ME:A and the bad animations just don't ruin that for me. For me... the better game then is ME:A based on the fact that I enjoy playing it more. I don't care about what anyone else says about it really. I'm not a reviewer... I buy these games solely for my own enjoyment. There is nothing anyone can say or do that would cause me to enjoy TW3 more than ME:A... so, from purely my own perspective, ME:A is the better game for me. Over time, I've come to realize that my taste in RPG-like games simply differs from that of some of the people here. Currently playing Oblivion, which I'm not really enjoying either, has really driven that home. Bioware just made my kind of game in ME:A. I don't care what genre you put it in or how you stack it up against other games you've played. I found a game I really honestly do just enjoy... got it? |
