The ending still doesn't get any easier to watch. In fact, it's almost worse now.

Brings the story of Shepard to a close, ends the conflict and several possible endings that fit nearly every possible way for the player to play. I would call that a good ending.

Yeah I remember the OP from the old ban. He was a broken record. Indeed I've never had a problem with the ending and I still don't.

Jesus Christ, the nostalgia effect really is amazing. Before Andromeda the mako was pretty much universally hated. Now people say they always thought it was great. Before Andromeda the end of 3 was the most hated video game ending of all time, now people are defending it. What's next? al-Jilani was actually super fair and unbiased?

ME3's ending wasn't the most hated video game ending of all time. A very loud minority shouted it was and now that minority is gone the truth remains. It wasn't a perfect ending by far and has many potential ways to improve it. But it was a good ending all the same.

Jesus Christ, the nostalgia effect really is amazing. It's not nostalgia if people are still playing the trilogy these days Personally, I always defended the ME3 ending ever since I first finished it. It didn't deserve the backlash it got at all. And the Mako is better than the Nomad. It has cannons

Before Andromeda the end of 3 was the most hated video game ending of all time, now people are defending it. What's next? al-Jilani was actually super fair and unbiased? I always stated that I like the Mako and I still say that. I prefer the Hammerhead to the Mako. I do also like the Nomad and had a great deal of fun driving it in ME:A. I always stated I like the endings to ME3. I always prefered the original ones to the EC and still do. Al-Jilani wanted to spur a reaction out of the people she interviewed and didn't care really whether that reaction was hitting her or not... she still bullrushed it to her own show. She was a sensationalist sort of reporter rather than a news reporter... much like the gaming reporters I've seen on the internet. I can't help it if I'm just really consistent about my opinions... can't speak for the others.

It's not nostalgia if people are still playing the trilogy these days Hell, it's been less than a year since I played MET for the first time, so I have no "nostalgia" for this game, and I still don't think the ending was that bad. Sure, there are things about it that I wish had been done differently, but most of the ending sequence really hits me emotionally, and a mod fixes the few distasteful bits

Ah, so you missed out on the constant fountain of uncertainty and frankly terrible PR from BioWare. I can't say I envy you there. That said, I do think people need to let it go, whether you like the ending or not. It's been almost 6 years now. Yeah, just about everyone agrees that there was something BioWare could have done better at, but could-have-been's and never-were's are going to exist no matter how it turned out.

Well, I didn't like the clearly false moral about organic and synthetic lifeforms always destroying each other (hey, didn't I spend three games disproving that?) and London was bland and disappointing (talk about a lost opportunity - we could have fought the Reapers on Tower Bridge!), but I thought the actual ending scenes and narration (from Admiral Hackett in my case) were pretty good.

Memories.
My cd-com went bonk so I decided to jump around YT. I hit on the Enterprise and watched a few clips. Came upon this one and this is probably the inspiration for the Normandy SR-2. It's not just about the ship, it's the crew and everything people love about them

I started the trilogy super late. ME1 doesn't hold up well these days, gameplay wise. But everything else is great. ME2 and ME3 are still great. So nostalgia isn't an issue here. Hell, I even started ME3 multiplayer even later. I played MEA's MP first and then did ME3's, but ME3's MP is superior by a long shot.
I would have had a problem with the original ending if I played it back in the day. But the current ending (Destroy mainly even if Control is sorta cool) is great and suits the series well. Its got a lot of interesting and added nuances based on what you did. I think Bioware deserves a lot of credit for re doing these endings.
And it doesn't matter how many years pass, but the Mako will always suck for me. Outside of the Hammerhead, all the vehicles in Bioware games are not fun. This includes the Nomad and mounts in DAI.
