Shadows over Nevarra: The Grand Tourney (OOC)

And now it's posted. I think I got everything, but as always, feel free to point out anything I missed.

And sorry for the delay.

Have made a joint posting for Ellas and Loyalty - hence its length.

Well, that was longer than expected. 2000 words. Sorry

You may notice that in my latest post I make mention of First Thaw and it is clear from this that the Inquisitor is a Dalish elf. If you refer back to my world state, you will recall that I decided not to leave the identity of the protagonists of the games vague but to use my own personal world state in which the Inquisitor is Enavir Lavellan.

Now we are getting close to the start of the event, people are starting to arrive from all over Thedas in Cumberland, not just competitors but also street entertainers and merchants hoping to profit from the event, plus general spectators. I thought I would post a few more pictures to get you in the mood of the event.




The last group made me think of Rivain and possibly a dance troupe from that region.

I thought I would just give an update of where we are on the posts:

Space and I are continuing with our posts concerning conversations on the ship that both the dwarves and Oswyn's party are travelling on.

Riverdales is working on the post which will give Issala's reaction on arriving in Cumberland.

(That will complete the sequence I previously suggested.) So then the next grouping will be (in no particular order):

The arrival of our ship in Cumberland:
I will give a post taking my party from the ship to Bann Sighard's base and settling in.
Space to give a similar post establishing the dwarves in their base in the Diamond Quarter of the City.

Phoray establishing Arria and her troupe somewhere within the city.

Any other posts that either Riverdales or Warden wish to make concerning their characters in the period leading up to the official opening of the games.

(This should now mean that all the principle characters are now their respective locations within the city.)

The Opening Ceremony

This will be a suitably grand affair. It will be seen from various PoVs depending on why your character is there.

So I'm going to assume that by now Prince Ferdinand has had another meeting with Livia and she is now his official guest (because he finds her company enjoyable as opposed to the rest of the dignitaries and as Prince he can invite whomever he chooses). So Livia will be in the Royal Box.

Ellas will be with Burren and Bann Sighard's Knights in the parade of the Ferelden group.

Issala will be with Bann Sighard and Jasce in the area reserved for foreign dignitaries and their retainers.

Arria will be waiting to sing as part of the ceremony.

Roshek, Edrick and the other dwarves from Orzammar will be in the parade. As the representatives of the various states parade alphabetically, Orzammar will in fact be the last to go.

At least that was in the official schedule, except that after the Orzammar have taken their place in the arena, there will be a last minute arrival, the dwarves from Kal-Sharok. This will lead to a verbal confrontation between the two groups, with physical violence only narrowly averted. This will be the first indication that the "friendly" Grand Tourney is going to be anything but amicable and Rainer may have been a little too clever in his wheeler dealing in setting it up.

Arria will perform her song and the games will officially be declared to have begun.

Please let me know if you are not happy with this arrangement or I have missed anything.

I'm excited too. I'm glad you are still up for it.

I ordered a microphone. 

That's the plan. It will be at the Opening Ceremony.

Wow that's some effort and commitment, tbh i'm speechless, I never expected or seen this before.

Now I want to hear that song soon, the idea has been pretty cool.
