Okay, let's look at my progress half a year since my last post.

I have now 3 health bars with my pact belt wearing Lvl 1 Arcane Warrior

Huh? *looks up* ...I really didn't play her for half a year

Not because I don't love her, but because I was trying to only play those with less Completed Missions.

Let's see, I think I'll have been playing for two weeks on Friday:

Hunter is about ready to get his first promotion. I prefer him to Archer, Hunter is more like how I play an archer in SP. Have spent the least amount of time with Templar, Saarebas, and Duelist, but that was because I unlocked those last and I haven't really gotten the hang of Duelist and Saarebas yet. I'm more in the practice stage with them. Wouldn't take them out on anything more than a Routine match. I guess I'm going to be squishy for a very long time.

Yeah and he doesn't have long shot either, which really sucks. However, in SP I stealth a lot as an archer and I had a hard time adjusting to playing an archer who can't stealth. It's taking a lot of getting used to!

I've got Hunter, Elementalist and Alchemist on level 19, so it will be promotion 2 for them and the first one for Hunter.

Yeah, I've been putting in some long hours, trying to make up for all the years I couldn't play MP.

How can you earn aggro if everyone is dead?   
(I love it on FC where you can get a dozen kills with just the one shot.) Your advice is good though - I remember early days (i think back during my first stab at playing) doing a shot and then having the whole map pour in on me. And then killing me.

I also remember similarly squishy teammates yelling "don't do that!" as the mob rolled over us all. Wimps.

Well that's awesome. It almost makes me wish we could turn on and off promotions to do that  .

Saarebas and Duelist are two of my three favourite characters (Avvar being the 3rd) My enjoyment went through the roof when these were added.

Saarebas in particular is an amazing support class (Speed ring and barrier) Groups will love you. Use to build willpower and magic defence. Cycle attack > ring > barrier until you become confident then you can swap out ring every second rotation for an ability of your choice (upgraded hand is useful if stuggling to keep HP) Total beast of a class.

I can pretty much solo with everybody on Routine now. I found I can solo on Threatening with Legionnaire. Didn't think I would win because the demons are more difficult to me than Red Templars or Venatori, but it was relatively easy with him. He had another promotion after that, as has Elementalist. Can't really go wrong with either of them. I took them both into a few Perilous PUGs with people I didn't know the other night and I think it went fairly well . I can stay alive and contribute (depending on who I bring) more than I could before, so I am seeing a difference in the promotions.

I did work with Izzy on Routine last night, I think I managed to hit something for 14k damage with her, but I haven't been able to do that again. Takes some getting used to to learn how to mark them and stack elusives but I'm now getting the hang of it. When I did a solo run with her the other day I just played her like a regular assassin because I didn't understand what the coins or the marks were for. Now I do! It will just take some practice. She's a lot of fun!

After I get more proficient with her, I'll work on Saarabas. I don't think I specced her right. I went purely offensive, but I can still turn it around I think, she's only level 11. I have since read up on builds, watched videos, and most importantly, observed other players and saw what they did. Observing how others play is how I picked up quite a few things.

It's hard starting out, but I'll just keep at it and eventually I'll get there. Weekends are always better for finding more Routine and Threatening PUGs, not so much during the week. The other night I swear all I saw were NM and HB lobbies, so I spent a lot of time just doing my own thing and working on promotions.

i just looked again yesterday and i think Keeper had most with 3 proms. I just can't be arsed with inane powercreep grind like that.
