I played ME3MP on N7 day yesterday. Did a Silver on Firebase Ghost against Cerberus with the Volus Engineer. No one joined the public match so I had to solo the mission with my Combat Drone and Decoy as my teammates. While I greatly enjoyed ME3MP, I also like MEAMP. Which is better? They both have their good and bad points (no need to rehash pros and cons). ME3’s ending was really disappointing, but multiplayer made up for it. After maxing my manifest and countless hours thereafter, I was ready for something new. With Andromeda, I’m just 5 UR unlocks away from at a maxed manifest (excluding UR variants), and it’s taken me far shorter to accomplish that than in ME3MP. I’m finding more things to accomplish in MEAMP, such as soloing Gold with every character and doing a few more non-stealth Platinum solos. And, I haven’t even finished the campaign (just on the first planet still). When you look at that other thread with the poll you'll see that the opinion about MEAMP is quite inconclusive. atm about as much in favour of MEAMP as against. Personally I have no idea how you find stuff to accomplish, but that's different people and their tastes for you. Did you jump in MEAMP somewhat later maybe? Most of my goodwill was spent at launch. You're forgetting that most of the people who think this game is trash have moved on and stopped checking these forums. A subset remains but most simply don't post anymore. |

Nope, started playing once it came out. Jumped straight into MP and have spent little time in the campaign. I understand the annoyance of the early days (Vanquisher), but it wasn't like a whole class (Vanguards) was unplayable off-host like in ME3. And while the sound disappearing partially (on Xbox, don't know if it's different on PC) is annoying, it's not as annoying as Reave's Rrrrarrrarrraaa sound in ME3MP. Even disconnects, when they happen, sometimes reward you with credits in MEA, so those missions don't end up being a total loss. So, like I wrote, good and bad with both multiplayer games. |

I can't quite explain it, but even though we've known what's coming for months, having BW finally deliver the last wave of mediocre content and almost pointless balance changes feels very liberating. Like I don't need to stay tuned for the next wave of shit they will heap on us. I probably won't even log in to try the new kits, and I feel like I can finally just move on. Anyone else feel this way? As mentioned a few times, I'm now playing W3. No clue yet what it'll be after that... I am playing it as well right now and i got both expansions. I had one other playthrough that i went a long ways but petered out and never finished. I'm in a bit of a bind right now though and have been for a while. The main quest line quests are lower level than i am and all the rest of the quests are much higher as in red skull higher than me. Yeah, I'm getting some of that as well, most likely because I always tend to do side missions first in any game. But it is as Pounce de León says: the main quests give way more experience and you can catch up by doing some of them... |
