Ah - thanks.  I assumed it wasn't "all-time", but wasn't sure what period of time it did cover.

The waiting is...difficult, to be sure.

Swore I saw some natives that looked non-white in some of the trailers.

Hard to say since they're mostly hidden behind facial paints and tattoos and extensive headdresses. The only one whose clean face we've gotten a really good look at is Siora, and I didn't even notice her horn until azar pointed it out just now.

That'd be really interesting though. For a remote island with an unfriendly population supposedly untouched by any civilization to have a diverse gene pool. How did that happen?


Yeah. In those Pocahontas/Kevin Costner stories, the invader protagonist is usually either a low-born adventurer who left home to seek their fortune anyway, or a washed-out broken soul at the end of their rope who similarly has nothing left to lose by going native. That isn't De Sarlet's situation at all, barring the search for a plague cure.

If Spider is truly trying to emulate the old Bioware model then hopefully that means 4 different major conclusions followed by a slide of more specific ending descriptions detailing the consequences of your relationships and less pivotal decisions. Which always suited me just fine. I got into RPGs with old-school choose-your-own-adventure books, and a concise written description of events after the dramatic finale can be plenty satisfying.

Considering Berlin is in Ukraine on these maps, I think we can assume they put up some artistic liberties.

Going by the PS4 trophy list (it's out on the Internet), I think saying it has 4 endings doesn't take certain variations into consideration. Also, while being close to your cousin is predetermined, but going by the trophy list, it is not unchangeable.

Also, don't read the PS4 trophy list if you want to avoid spoilers, the ending ones are super spoilery. There are things I didn't want to know in advance there...

Well, yeah. If they put the effort in to make it believable then that's all to the good. If they don't then it's kind of shameless pandering and I'll be rather disappointed, true.

If I remember right though, Horizon Zero Dawn is set two-hundred years or less after the gestation of the "new" humans, whose frozen genetic material were specifically selected to be diverse. That's, what, six generations? Short enough time for a gene pool to at least retain some of its diversity. The natives in Greedfall have probably been there a lot longer.

It's globally the 4th top-selling game on Steam now! It's unlikely gonna be number 1 as it's released on the same day as Gears 5, but still a good result for Spiders studio!

If this game is a financial and critical success, and right now early impressions suggest the game is amazing, this might be the breakout moment for Spiders studio.
