Shepard never could seem to catch a break.
‘Take some shore leave, Shepard!’ Hackett had said. ‘Get some R&R and come back to the fight fresh.’
Hah! Sure. The kindly old fool. As if.
First, the damn clone. Now this??
Down in the depths of the C-Sec offices, Shepard hauled a uniformed crewman -- former crewman -- into an interrogation room. “Sit down and shut up,” Shepard barked at him as she shoved him into a chair.
“But Commander, I don--”
She backhanded him and he grimaced. She hadn’t had a chance to remove her gauntlets. Ah, well. “I said, shut up! You answer my questions, but otherwise you keep quiet. Got it?”
Eyelashes blinked up innocently at her from above a bleeding cheek. “Of course, Commander Shepard! Anything to help! I don’t know why you think I’d…uh…”
The glowing cracks in Shepard’s face flared and the captive seemed to rethink his response.
“...uh, I’m a loyal crewman, Commander! I’ll answer your questions.”
But he was spared from doing so for the moment, when the door opened and James Vega appeared in it. “Shepard? I think you’d better come back upstairs. Something’s happening and...well, you need to see for yourself.”
“Fine,” Shepard said, with a sneer at the captive. “Get this piece of shit locked up.”
“Right away, ma’am.”
And when Shepard turned to leave, she missed the nasty smile that spread over the captive’s face.
Night is declared.

When Shepard reached C-Sec’s upper levels, she gaped. C-Sec officers were milling about, the humans in obvious panic and the turians in...well, whatever passed for panic in a turian, probably. They were bickering with one another, yelling into their comms, their fingers skittering frantically across every display console, every one of which stubbornly displayed a single message:
YOU ARE NOT ALONE. THE ILLUSIVE MAN IS WATCHING YOU.
“Happened a few minutes ago,” said Vega in a low voice, “when you were down there with the mole.”
“Shit,” she spat, slamming her fist into a nearby table. “Shit. Ok. We need to get on this, tonight. Get everyone together. We need to interrogate the bastard downstairs.” She narrowed her eyes. “And I need to see who’s acting funny. I have a feeling this spy is a bit higher placed than a random grunt from the CIC.”
DAYTIME IS DECLARED For clarification, the Cerberus agent opted not to indoctrinate anyone last night. Was it...kindness? Pity? Part of some nefarious scheme? Who knows! No ability was used to grant this, just the agent's decision. You may now discuss the events and suggest questions for Shepard's interrogation.

Yes, I agree, or simply the alternative "Is your accomplice a human" because it amounts to the same thing. I was checking and there are 12 roles in this game, split 50/50 human/alien.

It is really quite difficult coming up with general enough questions that they will not be disallowed by the GM. I had thought of asking if the character appeared in all 3 games but if the answer to that was "no" then it narrows it down very quickly to just two humans and two aliens (since Jack cannot be evil). If we have already asked if the accomplice was an alien/human, then we would immediately be down to just two roles depending on the previous answer. Still I suppose we could try and see what Dragon says.

Keep in mind that Space is allowed one outright lie in each set of questions, and his other answers can be misleading (but must be technically true).
And I suppose if you wanted to ask only 1 or 2 questions, you could.
