I mean, OG just returned to this game as well, and I just didn't want them to be voted off so early, especially since they weren't really displaying any suspicious behavior so far. Early the next morning, snores rung out through the apartment. A woman gingerly moved aside a pile of crushed cans and empty bottles and glanced around. The movement exacerbated her headache and she winced. Damn Shepard and his damn prothean. The only good thing about last night was that everyone else was so thoroughly hungover that she'd managed to plant bugs all around Shepard's apartment without being discovered.
So far.
She'd saved Shepard's room for last. Shepard and his traitorous girlfriend were passed out on the bed. At least, Lawson was passed out. She hoped Shepard was too, but with his cybernetics, there was no telling for certain. She needed to be quick, quiet, and careful.
Sadly, she was nearly as hungover as the rest of them, and it was difficult to tell which of the two beds and five side tables she currently saw were the solid ones. She squinted and studied the scene before her. If she stood reeeeeally still, then she could just barely...THERE! There was the real side table!
She crept over on unsteady legs, and once she deemed she was close enough, she leaned over to place the bug under the table...just...so. And as she leaned, the side table materialized several feet to her left.
Shepard's high-pitched shriek as she landed on top of him almost made it worth it.
"Ms. Wong??" he slurred as he pulled himself upright. Lawson groaned and rolled over the other side of the bed. "What are you doing here? Are you alright?"
"OH!!" she exclaimed. "Yes, yes I'm fine! Just...hungover, you know? Trying to find the bathroom..."
Shepard suddenly grabbed her wrist and brought her hand -- the hand clutching the bug -- up to his face.
"What," he spat, "is that?"
She gulped, her head pounding as she tried to think of a good excuse. All those years of spying and reporting and exposés, and nothing was coming to mind??
Well, it was no matter. She might have been caught, but the thought of all the bugs placed around Shepard's apartment, and what her partner would be able to do thanks to them, brought a wide grin to her face.

Yes, well done Pela!  To be honest I was getting suspicious of Space after the way he reacted to my last vote but unfortunately because it was my last vote there was little I could do about it. However, it may be a bit premature to celebrate because it is night and double elimination time. Now we shall see how effective these new protective roles are. |
