Shoot him? O_O He was grumbling, but I think he was bribed earlier with the family suit. Shepard first gave him a whip reply but then diplomatic one and he compared Saren to another person in history who had also claimed stuff was done for Krogans' good while enslaving them and then Wrex calmed down.

I'm certainly glad I didn't need to shoot Wrex.

While I rather like the Renegade path I still consider this my 'evil' playthrough. In these type of world slates I make choices that go against the things I may want.

Between Ashley and Kaidan I like Kaidan more and consider him potential romance material, but in this game I was not romancing anyone. My Shep though was hard on both Ash and Kaidan in general.

At the same time - if I wanted I could choose a purely pragmatic reason.

Ashley, plain put, it the strongest party member. I bring her to the hardest fights. In my 1st playthrough where I suck at fighting the most it's certainly helpful to keep your strongest team member alive.

My Shepard was rude to everyone else except for her crew members. That's the meanest I could go! I tried yelling at Tali or Joker one time and I felt bad and immediately reloaded my save.

But yeah, Virmire is tough. If I remember correctly, I believe I went with one of the renegade answers for Wrex and he relented and brought down his gun thankfully. I would have gone into full fetal position if I wasn't able to talk him down...

Having high coersion and doing Wrex's quest certainly helps
