Uhh, it should give you backups of all your autosaves?

In fact, it should give you everything.

You might want to take a look at Nexus Mods, daftking : (www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/48) to give you an example. If you just type 'save' in the search bar wile visiting www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda, you should be able to find some others too.

My understanding with Origin is that if you are given the popup to either use Local or Cloud saves it will delete what you have and then copy from the source you picked.  I found Steam more likely to destroy my cloud saves then Origin to the point I disabled it, but everyone has different experiences

Have you downloaded any to see what they contain? One of the mods at the Nexus states it contains 132 save files. This - if I understand correctly - would enable you to start virtually anywherewhen in the game...

Would you give me the link ? I think I tried them all, but maybe I didn't see this one.


Thanks DMC1001, I looked a bit at it, it's seems a bit messy (a lot of things I did was masked for spoiler and some that I didn't do are revealed... So I tried to deactivate the masking, and got spoiled pretty hard... lol. I'll take a try as a last resort if I can't find saves. Thanks again ^^

Is that due to a reinstall or complete hard drive failure?

Did you check:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Andromeda\Save\

Maybe one good save still exists there.
If you installed the OS to another hard drive and the old one is still accessible then should be able to access.
The hard drive letter will change though -since new hard drive is C:\
So by going directly to the User folder in the old hard drive should be able to recover.

If not then you need to give more information about what you want to be included in a save.

Things can download improperly. So it only makes sense that sometimes they'll upload improperly as well. It just stinks that it coincidentally happened to be the last uploaded versions of saves stuck on a dead hard drive (assuming that that is the HDD problem).

Unfortunately, I have the deluxe version as well so my countless saves won't help.

Sims 3 got me in the habit of local saving to multiple different save files in case one or more got corrupted/horribly glitched.

Sorry, I replied the other day but something went wrong apparently, so I'll repeat.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, English is not my mother tongue.

In resume, I lost all my saves due to a HDD problem, but didn't saw it. I launched MEA with my local save, and since all my data even my preferences were gone, It was like I launched the game for the first time. When I closed the game, it synced in the cloud. Thus the lost of my backsaves.

Then I certainly fucked up everything when trying rebooting the PC and relaunching the game. Not very familiar with the Origin's cloud system.

I looked at every possible folders on my PC and everywhere on origin. No save before the wipe.



At this point, I don't care what malfunction happened or what I fucked up. I just want all the saves I can find on a standard edition for finding one which is the closest to my progression.

Already tried... I tried a lot recovering trick.

Furthermore, It's too late for recovering, It happend several month ago and I was obliged to Formating my Computer a while ago.

I'm just looking for savefiles now, but thanks for your concern.

Starter files or files near the end of the game?
I could start one and run it through to the end.
Would need to know the decisions to make though...
Also can't really work on it till the weekend anyhow.
