Considering I was already interested in him through DAI's release before we really knew anything besides nerd, I would say yes

Gone but not forgotten. Even Solas doesn't have this:

I was part of the OG Thread back on the BSN before DAI came out. We were all down to romance Solas before we'd properly met him. Gareth David-Lloyd definitely helped there, that and my elven trash personality. But yeah, I was all in before I knew just quite what I was all in for.

Returning to that thread after finishing the game for the first time having romanced Solas was a trip. We were so happy once. So full of hope and gifs. We returned...to a trauma support group.

I am going to miss that with Veilguard. I'm not vibing at all with any of the companions at all so I am not going in all attached to one and getting to go through that mic drop ending with them... and then still being obsessed 10 years later. I feel like Solas - the build up, the story and the continuation has been a unique journey in my life of hyperfixations. Even the music still hits. Just attack me with that Lost Elf Theme from Trespasser and watch my soul leave my body.

I still remember the day they did a first look at DAI - and we all got to see the menu screen for quite some time because it sat there going on while they waited to get started. The theme slaps. It really got us all pumped for the game. 

I had forgotten just how hard that soundtrack goes until recently when I was looking through all my recorded video clips from the game. It's so good.

Especially with Solas's speech over the top of it just flowing beautifully with it.

With John Eppler's justification that DAV has a limited import system because he wants past choices to get better recognition than minor dialogue changes, I expect that Solavellan will have a memorable ending.

Am I weird for hoping the “best” ending is a bit difficult to achieve? Like, reliant on a certain choice set that isn’t necessarily obvious but is also logical enough to get if the player is paying attention to story and lore. I don’t want to have to metagame to get it, but I also don’t want it to just be “you made all paragon choices, including petting a griffon that one time, so solas and Lavellan retire together and no one bothers them, the end”. I’d want it to maybe require some optional quests. Like the “good” (or “bad”) ending just requires main story, but best ending requires more effort.

And I don’t mean ending to the overall story of course. I expect we’ll deal with the evanuris basically the same regardless. I don’t think there will be any ending where we don’t win or it leaves Thedas in two or more drastically different world states as a whole. I fully expect solas relegated to cameo quantum state by the end of all this.

Damn girls, anyone has seen achievements? Anything interesting in relation to solavellan?

Honestly, nothing groundbreaking. And nothing on solavellan, at least in achievements.

Well, unless they're trolling us or something, the achievement we get for the last chapter in main quest (assumedly)...
