Any expectations as N7 day gets closer?what do you think?concept art again, trailer? I want to think they will at least address the fact that modders are fixing the PC game themselves for free and as such they will pay them something for their troubles as well announcing a new patch but the cynic in me says they will talk about how the LE doesn't need anymore patches. It will follow with items for sale based on the ME series as well concept art from the LE ideas they wanted to add but didn't for one or more reasons and then talk with fans. They might announce something like a teaser trailer but that will be it.

Yeah. Backlash to criticism does tend to escalate like that. Companies don't like to be called out, so they exaggerate the criticism, deflect and misdirect. We've seen it enough times already.

Talking about patches. I am puzzled how BW (and most other companies) are not willing to release patches. I am a bit old school, so I remember the patches for Battlefield 2. There were many of them. And they often had new maps. How were these financed? Simple: The installer often had an ad of a sponsor. Even big companies, like Intel, sponsored a patch. Egosoft, creators of the X-series, released many patches and content for free, because they believed that it would sell more copies. And fans loved that. Even if one of there games didn't sell well, the fans remained loyal, because of that.
BW on the other hand has a bad track record of releasing patches. Even the bare minimum seems to be too much for them. DLCs could easily finance patches, but of course, the only release them for profit and not to cover the cost of their screw ups.

Oh don't worry too much about patches, modders seem to enjoy fixing for free the issues of the PC version (mostly the same issues as the original trilogy) and they can't stop praising how wonderful the LE is for modding. I would more than welcome a DLC that adds to the LE (content to tie the Andromeda Initiative with Shepard journeys, another scene with the Virmire Survivor, more missions on Noveria in ME3 and more) but if they have been quiet on patches that will likely never come we have to just accept that they won't do anything like that or even if they do it will be missions like Arrival and Lair of the Shadow Broker: missions with a predetermined path and ending that will be dirt cheap to create and lack post mission dialog (only Zaeed and Kasumi were mentioned by characters like Joker and Kelly while completing the rest of the DLC gained nothing h---, Joker VA was in vacation while Arrival was being made and they ran the scene when Shepard is picked up as it is, which worked better to some extent) and technical support.

Yes. They followed the footsteps of Bethesda's "patching". Grrr. And CD Projeckt Red, but at least those two companies are paying the modders for their work and which is something Bioware should do when the MOD's are patches which fix the experiences.

I had a gazillion patches for the W1/W2/W3. None were made by modders. Even the W1/W2 Enhanced Editions were free upgrades for the original game owners. Plus 16 free DLCs for the W3. BW and Bethesda pale in comparison to CDPR. Cyberpunk was a disaster, though.

They might show a trailer but most likely we'll see it at tga. I hope they patch Andromeda for series x/s/ps5 along with a photo mode too like they did with MELE, but i doubt it.

No BTS, no nothing. I'd tell you to wait for the VGAs, but if there's anything Bioware to be shown there, it will be Dragon Age BTS. I don't think you'll get anything substantial before EA Play 2022. If there's good work put in, in the meantime. And only for Dragon Age. The next ME teaser will be ~2023, at any event before or close to the release of DA4. If DA4 launches Q1 2024, December 2023, then its the 2023 VGAs. If it launches Q3, it's going to be Gamescom.

Any expectations as N7 day gets closer?what do you think?concept art again, trailer? I don't expect anything substantial about the next Mass Effect game as long as the DA4 is in development, as mentioned we most likely get some (fan)art, merchandise, maybe an interview or some other trivia if we're really lucky. N7 day is also the last conceivable date that we might get a new patch for the Legendary edition, it would seem like an apt reward for our patience.

N7 day is also the last conceivable date that we might get a new patch for the Legendary edition, it would seem like an apt reward for our patience. Unless we get the modders on console players side to provide constructive criticism of the apparent abandonment of this Legendary Edition and how Bioware just ported bugs as if nothing was wrong because they know modders will fix them for free and along with gaming journalists praise Bioware for their work. I want to avoid this behavior as it will likely send a message to the developers and leadership that players don't matter of their issues and DA4 along with ME: Next will be like that.

Bioware has a good relationship with geoff plus the show will show games for 2022 and beyond.

It was a big year for Mass Effect. They released 3 games, with all the DLC. Can't get bigger than that. I don't think they can release ME teasers, two years in a row, at the VGAs for a game that is another 6 years away. Even a BTS is ... there's nothing going on, BTS. There's maybe 5 guys working on ME right now and everyone else is on DA4. DA4 can show a BTS. It's going to be BS, but BTS regardless.

That DA BTS didn't give much of a glimpse behind the scenes. It was more a staged marketing video than anything else.

I can tell you they have more to show, for a BTS, than 2 years ago, but a teaser, a 3rd teaser, in 4 years, will not cut it. People will start saying Bioware is actively mocking them at this point. Even Bethesda, who showed a TESVI teaser 3 years ago know better than to tease something that is still ~6 years away. They barely teased Starfield.
A playable demo is not anywhere close. You might get a scripted demo in EA Play 2022 or at an event around that time. Most likely at a Geoff Keighley stint.
