Well from everything I've seen, this game wasn't meant to be played solo in the first place. That's why I didn't buy it. It is a looter shooter, and was marketed that way.

Btw. just seen some very angry comments on reddit regarding story campaign, where many people are stucked for hours in some repeateable boring filler quests without which they can not progress with the story.
Aaah.... you know, if one listens to Bio's verbal streaming events.. all is hunky dory. ... All of Bio's video streams have the Javs with uber gear which gives a different impression from gear at say, level 1-6 or so. ... typical of Bio marketing since DA:I.

Exactly. A concern I initially posted when Bio announced this looter shooter. ... how will they keep player interest? Bio believes that the end game with three levels of difficulty and their Uber Grand Gear drops is enough.... until a live service drop kicks in. We'll see in a month or so.
Personally, unless regular play is interesting all by its lonesome, EA will have a problem keeping enough players to satisfy their monetisation goal.

Why worry what someone else thinks? Others thoughts are not your own. Best to enter Anthem fresh and with an open mind, and who knows, might be pleasantly surprised.

The revive squadmates one makes no sense, because even if you're in a group, good players who never get knocked out would have to purposefully let themselves get shot at until they fall.

I feel really stupid and embarrassed for pre-ordering this game.
I have tried, unsuccessfully 5 times now, to cancel my pre-order.
60 dollar lesson I guess. Bioware doesn't get any more pre-orders from me. EA doesn't get any either, but I think Bioware is the only studio from EA I have interest in anyway. That interest is waning little by little every day though.

I agree. Still think Borderlands 1 and 2 are the best of the looter shooter genre.
Borderlands is not comparable except for being a shooter with loot. Anthem/Division/Destiny/Warframe are different, they're not just shooters with loot, they're shared-world shooters. It's a different genre with completely different mission, multiplayer, and gameplay structure. Borderlands is basically just Diablo as an FPS. SWS games are more like MMOs.
I can concede this point.
I still think the Borderlands/Diablo way is better. Then you get an actual single player mode.

Yep, the first 2 things are easily the ones that can get you annoyed in the first 5 hours. But you know what is hilarious? You get teleported if you fall behind even in the Stronghold. But there is one door (after the first water jump) which doesn't teleport people. And you need the whole team near it for it to open. I had to quit a SH run because 2 trolls didn't want to go to the door and just jumped around in the previous areas. So, Bioware, either teleport people all the time or just don't and open the doors even if 1 person reaches them.
The Tomb missions hit you after the 5th or so hour and are annoying because they are obvious grind and filler just to prolong the LACKING number of story missions. I am 9 hours in, just did the whole grind to open all tombs, did all other side missions (some of them a few more times to help people), 10+ full SH runs, did all convos so far in Tarsis (no skips) and I guess I might be 2-3 hours from finishing all the story content. Unless there is another grind. If this wasn't a Bioware game, I might have deleted it by now.
I did my 3 revives by doing Hard mode Stronghold. There is always one newbie that tries it and is killed just about instantly Then I did a few Easy and normal runs and kept dying to help other folks get their revives. And another funny story - in 2 Easy SH runs I got more Blue gear for my Interceptor than I got on my Storm for like 5+ Normal and 3 Hard runs. Now my Interceptor still has a higher gear score than my Storm
And yeah, sound bug. Annoying, but probably an easy fix. The fix for the lack of good content? Not so easy.
There's always gonna be backpack space to worry about in a looter, but in other games you can, you know look through your shit and discard garbage you don't want while you're in the field. In Anthem you have to go back home to do that and suffer all those atrocious load screens to get back out and keep going.
