Hola! After 12 years of being stuck on 30fps and controllers, I'm finally shoveling myself out of the shit and getting a PC again. Of course, ME3 (or the trilogy) is the first game I'm getting the PC version of, since MEA greatly disappointed me...  So a few questions; How's the player base? Any cool free mods out there (for visuals only)? Since I put over 2200 hours into ME3 on SexBox, I'm wondering if there's a "smart game-mechanic" that would let me have a full manifest? (Hoping it would bug BW after 6 years). That is all. Thank you, May the asari blue asses be with you! |

Since I put over 2200 hours into ME3 on SexBox, I'm wondering if there's a "smart game-mechanic" that would let me have a full manifest? More than one, but I believe the conventional method used by BSN forumites is both simple and time-consuming. You basically just want to land in the right lobby for one game, and then I'd recommend binge-watching a season or two of your favourite TV show while you wait for the store to check hundreds of pack purchases. |

You need an Editor capable of (un-)packing ME3s *.bin. You can for example use the one that ships with mgamerz modmaker. And then follow the tree to the fruits.

Pretty sure that this is the point where Discomfort vs Motivation kicks in and I don't bother. If I used K+M, then I could also split the omni-button whilst I was there, but since I use a controller anyway, I don't see much point to digging in there for one command. |

I may be able to answer a few questions pretty well, since I've already made the switch you've described.
-There are more people playing on PC in general, and it's easier to find groups thanks to BSN, Discord, etc.
-Tons of mods, much better than visuals too. Mgamerz has a bunch up. I use the controller mod since I was so used to it from ecksbawks. Definitely get the MECMM util, as it will open up the console to allow you to text chat and enter the codes above.
Personally, I enjoyed earning another full manifest legitimately, but I did put in half the time you did on console.
Other points:
-Difficulty can scale depending on host's frames. A high fps will result in more "accurate" enemy fire, making Marauders, Collector Captains extremely dangerous. Conversely, low frames will make you nigh-invincible.
-The smoothness of non-locked 30fps is jarring, but cool to look at.
-You can look around while running.
-You can type "disconnect" to exit a never-ending load screen
-Origin sucks, xbox live is way more stable.

I suggest you create your Origin now, even before you get your PC, because there are sales going. You can buy the ME franchise (no DLC) for 10 € for example. Same if you wanna try other games, most platforms (steam, GOG) are having sales too. |

The PC playerbase is in deep mourning since I took a break from gaming (in general) to focus on other things. So you better wear some black when you join the remaining players. Seriously though, last time I played (a couple weeks ago) it was relatively easy to get gold and plat games going at the most common hours. Also you should probably find have an easy time finding some active players in these forums that are located roughly in the same time-zone. So I don't see any problems there right now. ME:A being a piece of shit helps with keeping ME3MP alive.
As far as GPU availabilty and pricing goes it's crazy. For the first time ever since I started building my own PCs the price of my current GPU is now higher than it was ~19-20 months (!!!) ago when I bought it. I was actually considering selling my GPU 2 weeks ago because I'm taking break from gaming and I'd have gotten roughly the same amount of money for it that I paid for it around June or July 2016.

Not on all kits, but yes. from the top of my head vanilla adepts and sentinels don't get anything, but soldiers have a subtle squared camo. Geth units get a geth armory logo, kroguard and krodept get smoother looking armor and lights. Worth the ton of disk space imo, but tbh I don't have many games installed and I don't really need drive space. Depending on the addons you add (they're optional) to ALOT some weapon textures can change a lot. |
