Yeah, they really needed more Alec in the beginning. At least long enough, to get more into his character. It would have been nice for you to see some of his choices during the first of the game that maybe didn't make sense at first but, as you unlocked the memories in SAM node, it started to fill in the blanks. More potential lost to a shortened development schedule.
