I don't particularly remember, as it was a year ago when I played that section of the game (haven't made it back there on my second playthrough yet), but I coulda swore he was claiming to be something that he wasn't while he was getting you to do his dirty work for him. I'd have to play it again to be sure.

But I've never sided with him because he has no honor.

I found Reyes more trustworthy overall than Sloane. Sloane had people shaking down the inhabitants, exiling people over petty problems and generally acting like a power mad loon encouraging the addiction of terrible drugs. Reyes might have twisted the truth and hidden in the shadows, but he returned the port to the Angara rather than beating them down, he dealt with threats and problems rather than creating them. I guess he might not play nice with the villains, but he is vastly more welcoming to the Angara and the Initiative than Sloane ever would.

That's if the Quarian Pathfinder is alive at the end of the book. I'm hoping they die and we get an Elcor Pathfinder instead. Time for the quadrupeds to get their moment in the sun!

As much as I like Suvi, I feel like going into combat at all might betray her character a little bit. From what we can see, she pretty much has zero training to do it, and doesn't seem to have a particular inclination to take part at all. I'd always consider her the tech support, like the equivalent of pre-body EDI.

Bain. Some of those never should be squadmates. The idea that Suvi or Gil suddenly becomes some super ninja just because is terrible. Nothing in their backgrounds that i encountered indicates they are ready for combat like that. Just tacking it on is a disservice to the character IMO.
