Nice. I have a vacation in 21 days and don't know what to do.

Always. I actually might make this one a staycation. I missed the chance to go visit my parents with my sister by one week.

Last time I did one was when MEA came out. Worst staycation ever. I'll do an Uncharted marathon. Again.

But I have abut 100 times. *drinks*

Ordered pizza and will now binge Brooklyn 99. Apparently I missed an entire season since the last time I binged it.

Can't have nice things in a place that doesn't exist. *Drinks*

I'm glad one of us is having fun.

It's been glumly overcast all morning here. Likely won't hit 30 degrees today.

As for me, I am now taking advice on how to stop having the telephone voice.
It doesn't sound like me but I immediately do it on all business calls, even more so when they're in English ... not on private calls, though. I don't want it. HALP!

Also, I'm back at the office, and saw two of my colleagues for real, like - standing there, in 3D, living and breathing, their voice attached to an actual body. I was so bamboozled that I almost cried in shock and/or joy.

... you mean you got some snow...right? That's usually what Canada farts every now and then... 

Come to any Tim Hortons in the GTA.  To get a cup of Tim Horton's coffee that is actually GOOD coffee, you gotta go up north to cottage country about  75 to 90 minutes north of Toronto at least.  Within any region of the GTA  it all tastes like burnt, dirty dishwater, mostly because the lazy workers don't clean the machines properly or with any regularity....and they also don't make it consistently, making sure to always completely empty the full contents of the pouches directly into the baskets.  Most often they spill most of it making a mess, which leads to maybe 1/3 to half the bag having actually gotten into the filter where it should be. Plus they will more than likely burn it by leaving it on the burner for an hour or more, while still trying to sell it as "always 20 minutes fresh".  So come to the GTA then you will have your answer.

Or maybe you will just ask another twp questions: "is the coffee always 20 minutes fresh, or has it simply been 20 minutes past the hour since you last checked when it was fresh and therefore still borderline serve-able by your standards?"

Beliieve me, I know. Many years ago I worked at a local Tim Horton's with the laziest bunch of people you'd ever want to meet and I had a lot of people return their coffees and complain that (person standing next to you) served burnt coffee.  So then I make them a fresh cup out of the pot I just brewed, I take the time to do it right, to make the situation right, and customers were always happy.  Then in private I would look at the time marked on their pot and it would be "made fresh 2 hours ago", but because the pot was full or half full...they would still serve it.   But what aboslutely killed me was when a girl, not once but twice-- completely dumped a FULL pot of hot coffee into the garbage can!  (that's right, I wrote 'into the garbage can'!) when the sink was directly behind her; all she had to do was turn 180 degrees and dump it down the sink like she was supposed to.  But NOOOOOOOO, she had to be lazy and dump a full pot of hot coffee into the garbage can.  The first time I saw her do that, my blood boiled...But I calmly spoke to her in private, politely asked her not to dump hot coffee into the garbage can for several reasons:  1)  It's hot coffee...and you're dumping it into a plastic bag.  The heat of the coffee will melt the bag.  2)  It makes a complete mess.  3)  Coffee doesn't belong in the garbage can, it belongs in the sink.  and 4)  I'm the one-- the ONLY one all day who takes out and changes the garbages, plus I clean the parking lot because we were the only store open 24 hours, and that was the rule of the Property Manager.  If you dump hot coffee into a plastic garbage bag, it melts the bag and leaks all over the can, making a complete mess...and extra work for me.  So please.....please don't do that again."

3 minutes later, she did it again.  Well I lost my mind!!!  In front of the entire store full of customers, I  ....  and her only response was "I'm too lazy.  I don't feel like turning around to the sink, that's too much work.  I can't do all this work, it's too much."




Sorry for my ranting, follks.   But ever since then I have refused to buy anything from Tim Horton's.
