NATO x Germany (its an open relationship ok ) I think its amazing to see how far the world has come from what it once was like 100 years ago and less... and its a classic enemy turned love interest for all involved Italy x France also... such a romantic relationship soooooooo much romance *dies of cuteness*

You could really, really easily ship the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
...I can not imagine any good reasons for it right now, though... Do let me know if you figure some out!

Brazil x Democratic Republic of the Congo
Corrupt and dysfunctional nations, having issues with disease. They'd be perfect for each other.
New Zealand x Madagascar
Similar geographical situation. Other than that, no reason.
USA x UK
Because it is pretty much happening already...

Aye, Germany is a member of NATO... It's not that spectacular. No more Colonial Powers of Europe. Now it's the US running the show (albeit in an increasingly aimless direction, no matter how hard Obama tries.) We should be leading the world into space and towards OWG/1WO, not bunching around debating whether angels make climate change happen or not.

No we're "condescending" because you Americans won't shut up about it, we don't really give two shits. To go on topic. America and no one they're the wife beater country. (sue me E-Ro) England and France so much sexual tension between the two, they say they hate each other but secretly these two old countries want to jump each other. North Ireland and Ireland those two want to get back together and we all know it. Tasmania and Antarctica. Because no one else wants Tassie

NZ and Canada. You just know they are one of those sickly sweet, goody two shoes, nice couples that everyone else secretly hates for being all perfect and happy. And I would just like to say I would totally read mousestalker's Spain/Portugal fanfic.

We've been on the moon? Congrats, at least we've never lost to Canada in a war before. Neither did we mate. I'll have you know we were fighting Britain at the time, and we beat them at New Orleans. Both sides decided to forget the war existed, then Canada claimed victory before they were even a country. Sure, you could argue that New Orleans was 2 weeks after the War officially ended... but then you'd have to blame the Brits as well, since they were in just as much ignorance as us. Also, you interpreted my statement wrong; I was encouraging you to be excellent, not dismissing you. Don't just jump on the hate-train for my sake though. By the way, going to the moon is a pretty big achievement (the greatest technical feat of the 20th century). Meanwhile, sadly, the Australians are yet to implement a space program of any significance. Which is a bummer, since it's where our future lies.

If that's what you wanna believe, go ahead, but honestly I'd say it's more the mature sibling having to put up it's loud, over bearing ,attention seeking, whinny, immature sibling. You know, that whole 'squeaky wheel getting the oil' anology. (I was born in Cali, I can say that.) Being raised in Canada since 1972, I have witnessed the slow deterioration of it's identity because of US influence. The political situation is becoming a joke and the politicians up here are starting to adopt American Campiagning strategies. I've been terrified for the public school system up here ever since evangelical 'christian' churchs started popping up and 'christian' universities are being built too. If in 50 years one of Ken Hamm's followers starts looking to build a noah's ark exhibit up here, I'll be feeling sorry for the younger generations yet to come... Don't get me wrong, the US has a lot to be proud of, but there's a bunch of screwed up shit down there too.

I'm sorry our problems are starting to be replicated up there as well, but... All of this said, I hope facetiousness is still respected on this thread for the sake of humor. I'm well-aware of the problems in the United States. Believe me, I am. But, it seems that you're holding us responsible for the issues over cultural identity up there.
