I got Aveline's post-Fade quest on the friendship path. Since she couldn't hold out against the demon's temptation, she doesn't see how any mage could do better and is less opposed to the Circle. I was rolling a mage, at the time, and I netted some rivalry points, as I recall.

For a pro-mage Hawke it could be a denial of being a deliberate agent of the "revolution," while a pro-templar would be a claim of support for the establishment.
