It's an artists impression..... You dont think I took a pic with my phone do you? ... Actually, that's exactly what I thought! Come on, I can't be the only one who thought that I'm slightly relieved you didn't take that picture though. Probably not quite as relieved as the person who got to the stall before you though...

Played a NM dragon run yesterday with TeethAlmighty and another newer player. Whew, that was challenging! It was against Qunari and I was Necromancer while Teeth was Templar. Not a very good team composition against that faction. Near everything was immune to my horror and assassins are immune to almost everything else I had. There was pretty much one in the fade for the last few zones which made it a little more challenging. But Teeth and I played pretty smart and used choke points for maximum walking bomb and dispel effectiveness. It was still like a 40 minute game though. At least we won! That was a tough game, made tougher when our two PUG companions kept dying at the beginning of each stage. Shermie, I tried to keep you alive! Forgive me Shermie! Thanks for saving my bacon T. On the plus side, I did get a +11 constitution armour piece out of it. Joy.

Super noob time! After all this time I just started playing DAMP this weekend! I've always been incredibly wary of MP in general, always worried I'd suck horribly and bring nothing to the team. I remember turning on ME3MP right at the end of a match and being so intimidated I left as soon as I got there thinking I'd just bring everyone down anyway (thanks for the easy 4 level-ups though, random ps3 guys! ) The MP for this game is so much fun, and addictive! I played on routine for a little bit and everyone in the lobby was so helpful and patient, reviving my faded Keeper butt while I figured out what to do. After the lobby got a little slow I decided to check out threatening and perilous with my still super weak Keeper butt to see the difference. I loved watching the experienced players fight, and I used what I had to -try- and contribute to the match, but kind of got chewed out by some dude with a mic for getting in the way of a boss and nearly getting killed But after reading some pages here I guess he might have thought I was looking for free XP? Oops. I didn't even know how that worked at the time I actually think I'm somewhat decent at this! Even got my dear bf to try it a little with me. It's kind of great being able to play DAI again without just making yet another inquisitor. But I think I'll just stick to routine a little more often now

I remember feeling much the same as you before wading into the MP waters but it really is a good bunch of eggs out there who want to help you survive and succeed. You may encounter the odd arse on a mic, but overall the people you meet and play with are tremendous. Even a salty mic'er may have something useful to impart if you can get past the lack of manners. Read through these boards for strategies and build tips, experiment with different characters (especially when a nifty weapon drops for a character you've never tried) and for the love of God, promote, promote, promote! The game just keeps getting better and more fun as your characters gain experience. Also, the people on here are very generous with their knowledge. Wondering about something? Ask! There are no stupid questions. Just stupid alchemists. ;-)

I started a game this Morning, random HB. On stage 3 i hear something from a other one in the Lobby, i looked and see that a unknown Player was joining. I think a Newbie, with Level 15 Legio, ok. But he Comes in Game with a Level 1 Alche. And a little later two other Newbies with Level one joined too. All 3 was very fast in fade. I finished the game and look what they are doing in the Lobby. All 3 changed again to a Level one. I go out and a start a new game, all 3 joined again. Ok, new Lobby again but nm to Level up a other Agent. But wonder, all 3 joined again, still with Level 1. So i played private then and waiting for friends.

I like what Frank said in another thread - play at a level where you can have fun and contribute. The game will be far more rewarding that way.

It's kind of great being able to play DAI again without just making yet another inquisitor. But I think I'll just stick to routine a little more often now Welcome to MP. Although a bit squishy in the beginning, keeper is a fun character to start with. She's a great support mage and has some awesome skills. I kinda like her personality too. I started a game this Morning, random HB. On stage 3 i hear something from a other one in the Lobby, i looked and see that a unknown Player was joining. I think a Newbie, with Level 15 Legio, ok. So i played private then and waiting for friends. I don't mind new players in NM/HB as long as they are trying to contribute. If I'm playing a support mage I'll try my best to help them survive. But when someone wearing starting gears join as a level 1, I couldn't help thinking their goal might be just leeching some xp...If they keep to the same agent after gaining some levels that's totally fine. If they change to another level 1 knowing they'll instantly fade with minimal ability set, that's when I draw the line and quit the lobby...

Not a PuG, but worth mentioning. Gave Qunari food poisoning with 3y3vr3 and her friend on NM with our Hams, then Terrell came and we kicked some Demon arses on HB.

^ Yesterday's games were fun. Interesting that both you and Rogueknight chose Stinking Cheater to go with Ham. The poisoning effects from Ham, toxic clouds and healing mist thrown on me made everything look green. Again Terrell joined in a timely manner to earn a free completion for his Katari.

Sometimes the most fun I have is when I hop into a pug on a level 1 in perilous and look at 3 players lvl 16-19ish and don't know a single name. Then I get to feel like the underdog superhero when I single-handedly complete most zones and take down the commander. Perhaps this is just my ego that needs to be fed, but it truly is satisfying to accomplish. I do remember the days when perilous runs were quite iffy even with a leveled character, and I try to reconnect with those roots once in a while by visiting the fade.

But sometimes the other 3 level 16-19 players would all leave me after the game perhaps out of frustration. Suddenly being alone in the lobby is so sad.

As for me, it's usually high stats players(Hakkon users) who leave me alone in the lobby. I can totally understand them. They must got bored since most of my public lobbies are perilous and threatening difficulty. So naturally I have many chances to pugging with new faces. Even day one players. Recently I'm having repeated experience. About reaching zone 4 or 5 I got to thinking about take a break after that round. So after dealing with the boss or dragon, when I returned back to lobby screen, I got embarrassed. Cuz everyone except me already in READY status. Can't believe how quick they are and makes me wonder whether they even did any skill updates. Anyway I couldn't leave pug buddies in such a state. 'oookay, I think I can afford one more run before coffee break. lol' then one more then one more then one more...

Figured I'd play a quick match before calling it a night. Game had other plans, like crashing half-way through zone 4. So much for that.

I had a zone 4 host migration earlier and had to invite same 2 people back into room. Host and another got disconnected from server. Seems more common thesedays. They also didnt change class but lost all the exp. 42000 for and FC NM commander run....after redoing zone 4...pretty worthless

I played a few rogue games earlier. Haven't promoted a rogue since 200 cunning, so exp didn't matter. Plain sailing. Broke out the Elementalist for a single goddamn game and crashed when the door to zone 4 was opened. On the plus side, he has five bars of health now.

I wonder if the disconnection is related to players' search for an open game. In the case of a full room the match making system somehow decides to kick someone out and let another in? I've seen this before in both private and public lobbies. It seems to happen more often recently.

^ It was after you left and the lobby changed itself from private to public. Happened at least once to witty and once to cheese. I've also experienced this myself on numerous occasions before.
