1. How do you recognize which character plays each class easily? I am used to a little icon by the character names showing their class, but I don't see any symbols like that in the M3MP. I usually do not go through the initial lobby, but even if I do, memorizing each player's name and class is a bit much for me. Any simple way save for the animations?
2. Which classes can freeze or chill their targets? I talented my heat strike to do 100%+ dmg for the previously chilled targets, so I want to see how often I will get to see the boost, or if I should find a way to retalent to always do more damage to armor.
Thank you! Don't throw really heavy objects, pls. Tomatoes okay.

Thank you! Don't throw really heavy objects, pls. Tomatoes okay. 1.) You will learn over time to recognize the different kits, many of them look similar but have different powers. So if you have say 2 Asari kits in the same game they will look very similar but they have different powers with different visiual effects, it's all about learning an experience in this area.
2.) All kits with Snap freeze or Cryo blast powers + all kits in the game if you use Cryo ammo.

So, no way to enable a class symbol then? So, which base classes have the Freeze and Cryo in the MP?
EDIT: The Freeze, it will show up as an ability if I leaf through all the classes, right? Duh.
Thank you!

1. No way but learning the different characters I am afraid Only humans are represented in each class though, so just recognizing the different species can help narrowing down what to expect; for example, neither Salarians, nor Geth, nor Quarians have access to biotics, and therefore don't have Adepts, Sentinels or Vanguards. 2. Paladin and Alliance Infiltrator Unit have Snap Freeze. Human Infiltrator, Quarian Female Engineer, Turian Havoc Soldier have cryo blast. Alternatively, all characters can equip Cryo Ammo to exploit the extra damage evolution on Incinerate. Personally, I spec my Quarian Female Engineer's and Paladin's (I believe) Incinerate for extra damage to chilled targets, since they can combine their own powers to take advantage of that evolution. Otherwise, I go for extra armour damage on Incinerate: as most nasty enemies are armoured, guaranteed extra damage against them is always welcome Also, cryo ammo does not grant extra damage to your weapon, and as such it is not terribly useful (bar some specific builds); having to give up more powerful ammo types in order to gain some damage from Incinerate is not a good trade-off IMO. Also, you are most welcome

Thank you. Aww, now I feel so sad I picked the combo. I will have to retrain or level up a female Engi. (sniffle, sniffle). Hope they give a free retrain or something.
I sort of thought that the symbol will be unique for each 'base' class, as the characters of different species all organized in the groups that are kicked off the base human class. I am trying to word it in a way that other people can follow my train of thoughts, but I admit a failure.

Although, don't be too hasty to abandon that thought. For instance, I've taken a liking to using a Cryo ammo Lancer on my Salarian Engineer. So I think I might re-spec him and go for the chill damage evo for his incinerate power too.

Is there a way to guarantee I have the Cryo Ammo? Shoot first, burn its face off after? It's one of the Ammo Powers I set up in the Equipment tab before loading in, in hopes that this is lasting the whole match, right? Or is it a v.special gun that deep-freezes the bullets?

Shoot first, then cast Incinerate. Cryo ammo won't freeze most enemies (except of those with only red health bars) but the effect is there, so don't doubt visual check. Ammos (Rounds) are consumables which you set in the Equipments, so yes.

Would be sweet to see a huge pay off.

But Cryo offer some nice armor and speed debuff so I will not say it's useless.

avenger and shiruken, mostly avenger b/c I prefer not to swap weapons since running away screaming is so time-compnsumming.

Hide behind a cover and use Decoy, putting it in the sight of enemy, then shoot and Incinerate. For shielded and Synthetic enemies use Energy Drain and Incinerate alternately. P. S.: If you see some guy with a nice orange shield jetting snowflakes from his arms, help him by using power on his enemies. He would be grateful.

I am a human engineer, so my toolset is Probe, Overload and Incinerate. So, I attempt to hide (enacting the running away screaming like a little girl protocol when that stratagem is not working) put the probe up, and burn the guys with yellow bars, and overload the guys with blue. I normally try to focus fire with the teammates, 'cause expediency. It's a good life. I don't remember meeting a guy with the snowflakes, but I will try to remember that.
Okay, can't wait to try the cryo ammo out, it will be glorious. Ice! Fire! Poof!

Both incinerate and overload can prime and detonate, creating either fire explosion(incinerate followed by overload) or tech explosion(overload followed by incinerate). For basic strategy, you can just alternate between them and things will die somehow during the process. The drone is more of distraction to tickle enemies

The drone is more of distraction to tickle enemies A drone's a friend, I tell ya, one only and real friend! So, basically, if I just keep on panicking and unloading powers on cooldown, I'll do just fine? That's my kind of a class! (Sorry, I know, there is more to this, but I really like the class, I am a sucker for tech classes).

Falcon.
My friend, use the Falcon with Cryo. Bring your best SMG with the HVB for bosses and big armor. You really won't need it much, many matches I just Falcon all the things.
Human Engineer - cast Overload. Fire Falcon shots into the mob while on CD. When CD concludes, cast Incinerate. Maybe a Cryo Explosion or two. Cast Overload again, get Fire Explosions and/or Cryo Explosions. They're Dead.
Cast your Suicide Drone constantly at sniping enemies, like Phantom, Nemesis, Marauder, or Geth Rocket Trooper. Geth Primes absolutely get incensed at the presence of your drone. It's damage is small but it attracts attention, which gives you a little room to breathe.

Just don't expect armoured enemies to freeze. You are well off with the vanilla human engineers - they are one of the best out there.

OP ...
Try this ...
Character Creator
It's listed in the resource thread; it can be a very big help in working through your builds, so you know where you are going to take your characters, before you go live in-game with them.
Does cut down on the "run away screaming" part a bit.

oh I dunno. Lot to be said for running away. Running away IS a decent, needed and most often the best tactic. Nicer name to it would be a tactical retreat and regroup. I find myself often dying because I was too adamant in killing something and being overwhelmed. Instead I should have made a tactical retreat and take them out bit by bit.
