Hopefully something that's 'good enough' for everyone so that all the haters can stfu. Seriously though I went for species confirmations and the CC, I'd like to see some cold hard facts over gameplay footage. Am I one of those haters? Because I keep saying we should know more - a lot more - by now. It's been years and we still don't know a lot about the story/setting, nothing about gameplay besides it has a jump-pack, still don't know anything about any characters including the protagonist, don't know about new features in the CC, don't know how roleplaying/dialogue will play out... it's crazy. So unsurprisingly, I voted for "All of the above" I didn't vote for a second option because I'm not sure what I'd prioritize. But I'd really like to see: - Gameplay, since we've seen none. And like others have said, this means combat as well as RP mechanics, dialogue wheel, persuasion, interrupts etc. I'm really curious to know if the combat will be good because I'm still not hyped for Andromeda's story after the scar ME3 left, so I want to know if I'd get long-term enjoyment out of the MP like I did with ME3. As long as they build off the fantastic foundation they have instead of reworking everything like they have a habit of doing, we should be fine. I really hope all or at least most of ME3MP's added weapons and powers find their way into ME:A, because there was some awesome stuff there. I'd love to use the Paladin's omni-shield, or Arc grenades (ha), or those fancy biotic flips that can go through walls. I'd like to customize my melee attack. Concussive omnitool, electrical stomp, or a monomolecular blade? At least it looks like the turians' jump-pack melee is in! I'm not too worried about the RP elements after DA:I, but it would still be nice to know we'll have more than 2 dialogue options on the wheel and I'm really curious about the new interrupts, as well as if the "emotional responses" from DA:I will make a return in some form. Being able to actually express yourself as the protagonist could still use some work, but that was a step in the right direction. I've been thinking lately about the fact that in all Bioware games, I can't think of a single instance where our character could cry or laugh. They're such fundamental human experiences both, and it's a shame. It would be nice if that kind of thing would be added to the "emotional response" thingy, as options, obviously. - In a similar vein, I'd very much like to know more about the setting and story. Not spoilers, just a bit of groundwork, because again, I don't know what to expect and I don't want to be disappointed again. It's all-but-guaranteed that I'll be disappointed with however they retcon introduce the Arks into the story, but it's not like they can change ME:A's core now. Who is Dad!Ryder, what's the deal with the siblings/Pathfinder(s), a minor explanation of the Khet (are they enigmatic like the Reapers, or simply another organic species?), which species were aboard the Ark(s) and why, etc. are the kind of things I want to know. - And personally, I'd like to know the basics of the companions as well, in a similar way to what DA:I did pre-launch. Perhaps not quite as much info, but I want to know: 1. How many squadmates there are. Personally I'm hoping for 6, like ME1. 1 of each class, but not such a huge cast that each character doesn't get the attention they deserve. Since it's confirmed there will be non-squad romances, that won't be an issue for having only 6. 2. What races are they? Since ME3 I've hoped for some of the less popular/used species to fill some slots, along with familiars. Luckily, ME3MP at least provided the option to play as them, but I'd like the benefits that come with the "squadmate" title. Of course, part of that was info about the species, like history, but that won't matter much anymore... Another salarian squadmate would be nice, perhaps a female? A female turian as well to mix things up, and a male quarian. We've never had a vorcha squadmember, nor batarian, elcor, hanar, or volus, but I have a sinking feeling they might not be in the game at all Also, a female krogan or drell? (Spoilered mini-rant) Yes, that is a lot of women, but I want to mix things up and it's not my fault Bioware didn't have any female salarians until ME3 (and only 1), no female turians until ME3 (only 1 real character, and in DLC no less), no female krogan until ME3 (only 1 again), and no female batarians, volus, vorcha, or drell at all. (I'll leave out the hanar/elcor, because, hey, who knows?) Yep, an entire space opera trilogy where you only needed to make one model for each, and that's still how it turned out. Kind of odd At least they had male quarians, right? 3. What classes are they? Will we have an even spread like ME1/2? Similarly to the above, it would be interesting to mix up previous class/species combinations as well. Perhaps a krogan who uses tech? A biotic turian, or even salarian? If the asari is a squadmate, make her a hybrid class instead of pure biotic. On a sidenote, maybe make the AI companions actually able to use biotic charge? 4. Basic personality/background info would be nice, and names. No spoilers and nothing too in-depth necessarily, but something. 5. Romance-gates. I know a lot of people don't want to know, and that's fine, but I'd rather get the disappointment over-with than waiting until halfway through the game and a bunch of useless flirts to find out Or, more likely, that I won't like anyone to begin with Expectations safely low Uh, I wrote more than I thought I would. I probably still missed something though. Bed time!

Gameplay. Then, some more gameplay.
Why? ME3's gameplay hasn't aged all that gracefully and needs to be iterated on something fierce. I want a bigger field of view. I want a camera position that doesn't block my vision with the protagonist's back when I zoom in to aim or when I lean left out of cover and the camera decides to stick to my right shoulder. The three in one button needs to be tossed out of the airlock. And that's just the basics.
Bonus points for a cutscene that doesn't run at 30 FPS and some insight into how the Andromeda Initiative came to be.

I'd like to see some gameplay, for reasons similar to those other people here have expressed better than I can.
Gameplay isn't the be all and end all for me, but it would be nice to see what changes or improvements they've made to the experience of playing a Mass Effect game.
Personally though, I'm more interested in who our companions will be, as the characters have always been one of the best aspects of the Mass Effect trilogy for me.
And knowing more about the story would be great as well.

I'd like to see some gameplay, but also some story details.
I don't want to know major plot points or big reveals, but I always like to know the premise of the start of a game before I buy it. I wouldn't object to seeing a chunk of the first mission.

We knew what Shepard could be but she/he was an N7. What can a Pathfinder do? Are their class options the same? Other than that, I would like to know a bit more about our would be squad mates even if they only reveal the Asari's name (that's supposing she actually is a companion of course. I take nothing for granted). She's due a promotion from Hamburglar. 1. The classes had nothing to do with Shepard, by the way, they're a standard for the Alliance military and seemingly the entire galaxy, so I highly doubt they'll change. Especially when you take into consideration what they are: Soldier: Uses only combat powers, generally tougher and primarily uses weapons/melee + weapon/melee enhancements. Engineer: Uses only tech powers, generally a support class with debuffs and crowd-control abilities. Adept: Uses only biotic powers, generally less tough but has unconventional powers that can be highly effective when used in combination. Sentinel: Uses tech and biotic powers, also a support class either through powers or as a tank. Infiltrator: Uses tech and combat powers, more geared towards stealth, debuffs, and weapon-use from a distance. Vanguard: Uses biotic and combat powers, generally suited to close-range, hit-and-run tactics with disabling powers and grenades for when overwhelmed. That really covers all the bases nicely when you take into account personal customization of each class. My main point, though, was that since the classes include specialists for each power-type as well as the 3 accordant hybrid subclasses, there isn't a need to change or add classes. Although, there is room for a "Solginept" ( ) class which uses all three power sets. I wouldn't complain if that were added But that would be the only change I'd make. 2. I'm usually only half in-the-loop for ME:A stuff, so I still don't know why she's called "hamburglar" Care to enlighten me? Those are some good ideas. I'd certainly like the option to be able to adjust camera-zoom for both aimed and unaimed gameplay. Actually, since there will be so much exploring, I bet we'll see the return of holstering, so another option for running zoom level would be good. Neither ME3 nor DA:I impressed me there; ME3 blocked half your screen with your character while zooming like you said, and on the other side of the spectrum, DA:I was so zoomed out it was more like playing an RTS. Didn't make the combat feel personal. As usual, Bioware is good at extremes but may need to work on some middle-ground It may please you to know that Ryder has so far been shown to be left-handed (and no, it's not just mirrored footage as I first thought), which is presumably an option. If they already have two shoulder angles programmed-in, it would make sense that we could also get some real-time shoulder swapping like most TPSs have. And yeah, one button for so much wasn't fun. The cutscenes in ME3 were weird, because some were in-engine (any with Shepard) and some were simply video files, which accounts for the consistently-inconsistent resolution, FPS, and look. Hopefully that will improve. Anyway, I knew I forgot some things last night! I added the batarians to both the "Never had a ____ squadmate" and "Never seen a female ____" lists. In addition, I forgot one of the main things I'd like to see, somehow: - Customization! Not sure how I forgot about that given all my posts about it Obviously, this includes the CC. I won't repeat all the things I'd like to see it improve, since that would be very long, so instead I'll just link this post where I explain. So with that in mind, I really, really want to see all of the hairstyles, that's priority one for me right now. After the absolutely appalling selection we got in DA:I, I want need to know if they actually learned a lesson or if we're in for another 50 shades of bald/receding-hairlines/sideburns-for-women Speaking of lessons learned from DA:I, I'd like to know what sort of casual-wear options are available for Ryder. Now, this has always been better in ME than DA, so that's something, but no guarantee. I don't want to be stuck in one outfit the entire game, especially not something so bafflingly bad as the baneful blasted beige pajamas! So I'd very much like to see a variety of casual-wear, from a standard uniform to a hoodie. Next, armour customization. Will it be like ME2/3, DA:I, or something else? Banshee wants to know I want a good variety - some light, medium, and heavy armours. Hopefully there will be more colour options, including being able to set omnitool/Tech Armour colour! That would be sweet! Weapon customization could use a look-see, too, although I'm more interested in the above. I'll be back later.

I'm usually only half in-the-loop for ME:A stuff, so I still don't know why she's called "hamburglar" Care to enlighten me? Regarding the classes my point is that Shepard was Alliance military. If Ryder is supposed to be a fresh new protagonist is she/he just going to be Shepard mark 2 and have all the same classes available too? Is the Pathfinder even an Alliance military designation? Were the Arks privately funded, Alliance funded, a Council mission, or something else? There are too many questions at this point and I doubt N7 day will answer any of them! If a Pathfinder is supposed to be an explorer type character would they not expand upon the existing classes to to hopefully reflect some brand new abilities and powers? I love all the current classes for Mass Effect 1-3 but I'm hoping to see something fresh and new too. The Asari has gained a lot of nicknames because of the fantastic eye mask war paint look she's got going on. She's got her own thread on the forum.

I would love a solid release date! That's what I would like to see on N7 day. I think this is likely. The release date is all but confirmed. There's a good chance it's gonna be released in March at some point probably coinciding with the art book. Game play or character details would get me really excited.

I voted "gameplay" since we've basically seen none; but it was a toss up, since we truly know virtually nothing about this game. All of the listed items would be welcome news.
I hope for a lot of info, not a trickle. I hope for impressive demos of gameplay, features, and the like, rather than devs simply telling me how great it's going to be. I'd like some story info; enough to get excited about this game. It's time for some of the speculation to end.
I hope this game is and impressive audio/visual experience. While that's not the defining characteristic of a game for me, it becomes ever more important as our in-home technology improves. A lackluster performance in this regard sort of pulls down the whole experience, when your playing with eye-popping clarity and fidelity. DAI looked really good, at times, but felt inhabited by shiny, well dressed plastic dolls. (DAI's character animations were bad, but I doubt MEA will suffer from that issue.) I'm hoping for more from MEA, but dreading that the visuals will be largely more of the same, shiny plastic mess.
So, I guess I'm hoping for lots of info accompanied by lots of videos. Henceforth, I want to be shown, not told, about this game. Don't tell me about a feature, show me the feature in action.

Honest question, because I don't really know otherwise; do we know if this N7 day we'll get only a trailer, or will there be a stream to go with it? I'm asking because I remember the 2014 N7 day, where they streamed and unveiled all of those neat concept art pieces, and I honestly missed 2015's N7 day aside from the little trailer we had.

Because I love you ladies and gents, I'd like for everyone to be able to watch a live stream of me playing the game on N7 Day. I think that would make a lot of people pretty happy. I'd even be willing to forgo proper meal breaks and the like for the day, in order to ensure as much forward progress as possible within the allotted time. I'm that dedicated to the community!
Barring this, I guess I'll fall back to the aforementioned gameplay videos and other great stuff listed in the poll. All of that stuff could prove to be pretty great, as well.

My goal is to go into blackout mode after the 7th, so if I see gameplay footage and some or all of the companions, I'll hopefully be satisfied enough to make it to the release of the game.

I voted for more game-play footage and some race confirmations, and I would NOT want to know the other information listed in the poll. I like Scifiguy53425's idea to let us see the innards of the Tempest, maybe even the new Mako, and certainly more high quality vid scenes of the new planets we will be visiting (without all the blasted 'haze' visual effects!). I would also like to know the name of the new masked asari, and a little bit of her character's background; let the Ryder family remain a mystery.
Edit:
I'll still buy the game because I've already seen and heard enough from all of the previous trailers, and Mac Walter's interviews, to be a buyer before the game site reviewers publish their opinions. It's the game reviewers who I, most of all, am going to shun before I click the 'buy' button and start the game. I can still enjoy an imperfect game - so long as it isn't full of bugs. I have considered waiting, however, until patch 1.01 is released (likely 3 weeks later).
