Muahmuah get picked, he never get pick, especially on my host ( it s quite rare, and when it happened he used to be let go on all picks for around 10 consecutive times )

Was pretty surprised to find out that my Game Videos folder has taken up nearly 1 TB of HDD space, so I'm trying to sort it all out - and found a recording of this Gold game on FB Goddess vs Reapers featuring XCPTNL and RoystonVasey63. Good game that was, guys, thanks a lot!
I was barely more than a cameraman there, though, basically running around with my Eviscerator trying not to die and to capture how to properly play a Drell Adept and a Fury. I, however, am a clear-cut example of someone with poor shooting skills.

Thanks! It was really awesome to see you in action, because things were dying so fast it was hard for me even to get my slow ass there in time to capture it, let alone try to kill something myself. Don't feel bad for me though - I knew I wasn't going to kill anything during that game, so I picked that shitty gun to make myself feel entitled to be useless.

Well, I was also considering this option, but then decided to leave things as they are - partly because I'm too lazy and partly because some of my friends are not fans of modifying the game, and I record and share videos with them. I do have to admit though that a narrow FOV does feel quite claustrophobic, and it really tampers with your spatial/situational awareness, but the scrub I am, having a better FOV wouldn't help - I even have Atlases sneak up on me. I'm hopeless, really. Leave me alone to die.

That's one more reason for your body to recover faster - I do hope you're feeling better already and are off heavy painkillers. As for "mouse only", though, I use a Logitech G600, which comes with 12 buttons on its left side, so I have all my skills right under my thumb (that's the reason for those weird aim twitches). Moving around would still be a problem for you though, because you still would have to use a keyboard, but maybe there is a way to find a position in which it wouldn't hurt to do so.
Anyway, after having watched this myself, I would really love to join forces with you again, so please take care and get well soon!

nitrous: I'm off ALL painkillers as of yesterday, not just the heavy stuff. Still hurts sometimes in various positions but not when resting and not as much that I want to put any more of that pharmaceutic shit into my body. Being at home and being able to eat raw plantbased foods only (instead of that hospital crap with lots of processed "food") as well as doing it with a big one-meal-a-day smoothie also helps because fasting is always nice for recovery. The physiotherapist is happy so far and impressed how much I can mobilize the arm already. Still a lot of swelling going on though even though I do my best to counter it. Annoying 36°C outside are not that helpful though even when I stay at home most of the time now. I'm quite sure recovery will go smoothly but even if I feel good after 6-8 weeks I still have to take such a long break until they can take out the plate and an even longer one until I can start lifting/pushing things (me) which is something I have not yet made my peace with.

As far as playing a game goes: I do have my powers set to the mouse buttons as well but my consumables and all the movement commands (obviously) are bound to the keyboard. My best chance would probably be camping in some spot with a Sniper Rifle and not move around the whole game. That sounds pretty boring though, especially for a Drell.

But seriously though: that narrow FOV can have advantages too but I really get sick (is this the same as motion sickness some people complain about in first person shooters?) playing like this and I really love to be able to see as much as possible of what is happening around me. Which is why I love 21:9 in a lot of games and usually crank up the FOV as well in almost every game compared to the default setting, especially ME3 though - not as much in other games. But that's just me... you being a better player than me is proof that playing with the default FOV can work out just fine.
