Devices are the most difficult on most maps. Device objectives are probably the #1 reason I like playing infiltrators. I just always spec TC for duration now so I can easily do devices regardless of how badly my team is doing. Duration is meh. Melee units will still home in on you (like goons or brutes) and the damage loss is massive.

I love me hacks, for multiple reasons. If it's a team game, there's this feeling of a team, holding a small point versus the invading force... very Saving Private Ryan, if you want. Really captures the point of what MP is supposed to be about, in my humble opinion. Yeah, I know, pugs will often ignore it and often, missiles go flying. But when played properly, it's one of the most fun objectives, once again, IMHO. And if nothing else, you can glitch it pretty easily, so even if you have an uncooperative pugs, you can help yourself, provided some fast reflexes are employed. It is very satisfying playing a hack objective with a good team and simply suppressing the enemy with overwhelming fire support Drone comes a close second, purely because, despite its trolling nature, I love that little goof. Yes.

Melee units will still home in on you (like goons or brutes) and the damage loss is massive. I haven't had much trouble at all with melee units, and my scores haven't suffered horribly from the damage loss. So for me, duration has been worthwhile because it can help compensate for things like, y'know, PUGs who have no concept of kiting. This afternoon I took care of a device right next to a Praetorian and within LOS of two Scions on Jade, and it went fine. I'll change my builds if I ever feel like this configuration is causing me problems, but so far it's been useful in letting me play things safe.

I understand you, I kinda though like you back in 2012 I thought duration is useful for devices. But then you realize - if the PUGS suck and they don't wanna win - eff em. I'll play another game or 2 or 10. I will get my credits anyway. Gimping my own damage to curry some douche bags is not worth it

Y not both? Devices with a team is simple. Either they need to draw enemy fire away from the device to allow someone to do the device in peace, or they need to bring the pain and actually out-DPS the enemy. Instead, the average PuG team will all go to the device and then proceed to die, revive, and draw the entire enemy unit to the device in the process, making it impossible. So, again, devices with a team is simple. They either act right and it is fairly easy, or you let them die so you can kite the enemy away from that device, finish it, etc. Infiltrators do not make devices easier. Smart play makes them easier, and DPS is king in this game. Never gimp your damage, in most of our opinion. Thankfully, it is your game too, so play how you want. However, we will watch and judge

Ah you're bringing back fond memories of a wave 10 platinum, last device, in the fookin middle of Jade, as the only player left alive, squeezing into that little space behind the plantpot as tight as I could to do the objective with two atlarses in my line of sight... I feel like I want to say I was an infiltrator, maybe I was, but I rarely play them. I did it, much to everyone's surprise, I did. I died after, but we got the loot...but I did do it...honest guv. yeah I know

I had to roll with pizza....it's the most fun.....but uhm....why is that on RIO that pizza 90% of the time is placed at the back of map by the infamous "box of shame?".... ...those objectives are incredibly difficult... Devices suck...because they can be placed in bad positions on any map and ANY enemy will light that a$$ up from across the map with pin-point accuracy while you are attending the device. Escorts aren't too bad.....there's a theme of teamwork here with everybody watching each others back, spinning around watching all angles and avoiding enemy fire or taking them out while escorting. Uploads/hack - these can be amazingly fun with the right group, but you can get easily overwhelmed....i had to back track a few times in an upload because Scions constantly carpet bombing the area from what i presume would be the east coast..... .....can easily turn into a revive party. Targets - i kinda like these the most...because there have been times when i'm low on ops packs/ medigels and just cannot deal with devices or a hack when you have either phantoms to deal with that like to be assisted by annoying dragoons or Geth Prime Pulse cannons putting you in the red quick.....these objectives are a welcome sight when i'm low on everything and the team is struggling to keep it together...

I wonder if Pizza should've been split into Running/Non-Running options, 'cause I'm pretty sure most of the people voting for that did so BECAUSE of pizza-running.

I love mobile kumbaya circle. It has the nice team feel of a hack with added sightseeing. "Hey, I haven't seen you guys much this match, let's go for a stroll." I also like devices. It's pretty funny to do them as a Juggernaut and calmly finish the device as two brutes jump futilely on your head.
