Jay was flat out busted for using an aimbot in some professional arena. He was supposed to be some MLG lol. N7Link was the worst offender. That coalesced was full of crayolas and bronies. Look, I don't wanna be perceived as defending Jay, I'm not, and he most likely was cheating. But he never got caught, it was just Anno spreading crap like that

Given the rather inflammatory subject of the thread ( to OP) I've given a lot of thought before giving my answer. Shooting skills are not the only consideration, though I can say both reliably get 20HS usually around W4 when playing on my (or any) host. Distance kept from the enemy bosses, also ability to "sense" spawns and/or trouble for teammates (as Alfonse pointed out before); they never rush blindly to revive you (as I confess I sometimes do ), always evaluate and come up with the best solution. Also there's a question of attitude. Despite being among the top soloists in this game, they never play like they're alone on the field in a team game . Playing duo or full team with them means 99% your team will extract (and ofc 100% mission successful). Oh and did I ever mention those 3 or 4 platinum games in a row I've played with theDoc when he couldn't hear Banshees? He thought of it as FUN!!! And it actually was...
The clip looks 100% like an aimbot though. And if it somehow, some way, isn't, that guy should be getting paid for playing professionally, and big bucks Generally speaking, a player will attempt to predict head location after a phantom flip, rather than track it THROUGH the flip, as this provides the easiest solution to headshotting her. You would only track it through the flip if you intended to shoot her during it, but at that point, her DR is too high to be worth shooting. So yeah, doable, but not practical.

Let's just make this easy on everyone and accept the fact that all PC players are cheaters. It just varies on the degree of how far they go.

Only jay could perfectly headtrack a moving nemesis and a flipping phantom. Haters would say it's hacks It's not. I've seen both muahmuah and @thetechnoturian do that on a regular basis. Those two happen to be my choice for the best two players I've played with on PC... Jay was outed and banned for using an aimbot in at least one other game. There was some pretty convincing evidence that he used one for ME3MP as well but I don't think it was ever proven.

He was banned from the other game because he modded a private lobby, which is hardly what I would call a criminal offense. Still, the evidence that was shown in this very thread is quite convincing in and of itself.

The tracking on that video is pretty damning evidence. I've played with him when I tried out pc. Getting 20 headshots (some from across the map) with a hurricane by wave 2 was suspect AF...

As I did not play MP on a regular basis when those discussions occurred, I was not a regular visitor of the old MP forum; I started to browse it later mainly looking for playing tips, skipping what obviously was e-peen measuring. As such I am not familiar with this Jay person, so I may be wrong saying what he's doing is not hacks. But I am familiar with the two I've talked about and if you take the time to read my other post you'll get my POV.

Jay was an obvious aimbotter. It's not even a debate. Getting 20 headshots by wave 2 with a Javelin while 3 guys spam shockwave all the time? Impossible. Regularly headshotting lashed enemies? Impossible. Perfectly tracking heads of Nemesis and Phantoms who bob and weave and change directions every second even through smoke? Impossible.

I´ve heard Prime-Unit has oiled you well in game and here so no fear of rusting. Said platform takes good care of us, assisting and protecting us in battle. However, it would be incorrect to assume that assist and protection are enough to remove the already-existing rust. nitrous, it seems to me, the organics began to suspect something about us. Ah, let them. The more they do, the better for us. Your platform is a bit too bulky for infiltration purposes. Oops. Switching to direct digital data transfer protocol on a private channel.

what is an aimbot ? a tek tool to enhance performance
why would that be worse than using RHA or Reload cancelling ?

RC and RHA are already there in the game, supposedly even meant to be (ab)used by players. You don't have to change anything to get access to them and some skill is required to master them. Aimbot requires an input of the code that's not of the original game and requires no skill whatsoever. In fact, if anything it shows a distinct lack of skill.

As such I am not familiar with this Jay person, so I may be wrong saying what he's doing is not hacks. Just looking at the way the reticle snaps to the head as soon as he ADS (with red reticle) is a dead give away. Just the fact he never once over/under shot his aim is more proof. It's just so unnatural.

Anyone who has been playing since 2012 will probably be the best now, time and practice leads to great improvements.
That fencing with Cerberus video is pretty cool, like the soundtrack, however there were clearly moments when an aimbot was being used. Humans don't aim by perfectly tracking the heads of their targets the whole time thru their guns firing delay.
The worst attempted cheat was N7 link who decided to post his 'legitimate' Krolord platinum solo, which clearly displayed him doing far too much damage with his build and weapons, as well as having enemies who would miss him completely while he stood in one spot in the open. It was absurd to anyone who had experience with the game at all. He was one shotting platinum phantoms from full health / barrier with one running backhand when he didn't even have rage activated.

There are tons others who were really good, but he was untouchable. KB, MaxDmian, DanDCD93 were right there too.

I never got good enough to tell who the best players were. I ended up being pretty serviceable, typically 1 or 2 on the board without using things like Warp cheese, etc. But I did notice that some players made the games much shorter. I'd find a spawn, work my way through it, and that would be it for the wave. I'm not even sure what they were doing.
