I should check the celebratory thing out tonight. Get killed a lot make pugs look bad. It will be fun. On pc as shinobi killfist I think. Probably roll adept as it’s my favorite.

Hadn't played in a while, went in for the Celebratory. Started a few silver matches for the daily challenges (Zero, biotic kills) and was surprised to see a bunch of >500 Apex [new] players. Finally had a higher level player join for the Celeb. Fun!

What’s in the pack? Is it like an Apex Elite? Yes, it's a free elite pack. Some people have gotten 2 or more N7 items (not me, not this time -- but got one!)

I tried a celebratory mission it was only 7 stages, remnant, silver, i hate the replicators or whatever the boss destroyer is called. It was amusing to watch me empty clip after clip to no effect then have a team mate melt it in 2 seconds. And yeah, my singularity/shockwave blew up to do virtually unnoticeable damage. I died twice once in the end-zone after a pizza delivery, the other a random spot where I was attempting to grab cover via ME2 controls and oddly it didn't work in MEA as I jumped over the cover.

I played the Silver mission with 3 PUGs. I was the Salarian Operator with Shadow Siphon and Scorpion Siphon. One of the PUGs was an Asari Adept, and I don’t remember the other two.
Wave 2 Hack me and the Asari did the hack. The others weren’t very good at drawing aggro so I had to use a couple of Cobras.
Wave 4 Boss was a Progenitor maybe? Scorpion shots to destroy its Turrets and then Shadow when it opened.
Wave 6 Targets got crazy. I was the only one going after them while the PUGs tried to hold the back part of the map. By the time I killed the 3rd Target they had all bled out. So I had to solo vs. 2 KroBros, 1 Blaze Hydra, and 2 Remnant spewers. I had a couple of stupid deaths but eventually got it done. Siphon weapons are good.
TLDR Haven’t lost my touch; still a pro on lolsilver.

Siphon OP Biovar pls nerf? Maybe. My problem is there addition is pretty much why I quit. Filling out the manifest no longer seemed an achievable goal. I was mostly playing sp but I figured I’d go heavy into mp when that slowed down. Filling a manifest was already slower than me3 which was close to my limit for maxing a manifest. But I figured while I might not max it in MEA I’d have a respectable one. Now, too many hours to just get respectable. Didn’t feel worth it. Given how much worse combos are in mea compared to me3 mp I don’t feel like I’m contributing much even on silver.

Remnant mini dungeon … just the LZ and the immediate surrounding area. Combo-tastic … which only yields 75% of the credits for the mission.
I did not note any "hidden" modifiers, just a regular 7 wave match. Hack and Upload … on a map that small, folks in one upload can provide support fire for the others.
I was in a lag-fest … maybe because all the action was confined to one area? But we all survived, all extracted.
Normal celebratory rewards. 'Twas fun, nice to have a gold celebratory mission.

Given how much worse combos are in mea compared to me3 mp I don’t feel like I’m contributing much even on silver. For the record I have every Rare character/base weapon maxed, every Rare variant unlocked (save a couple exceptions), almost every Ultra Rare character to grade ten (only short three more cards), and almost every Ultra Rare weapon available at grade one with again only a few exceptions. I’m not even going to mention Mods because those are Super Secret Mega Ultra Rare. I only have 250 hours in multiplayer and it’s from playing Gold 95% of the time. That’s a far better manifest than what I had after 250 hours in Mass Effect 3, as I still hadn’t unlocked a few Rare weapons by then even though I was playing exclusively Gold. This is of course ignoring the fact that Andromeda matches are twice as fast, as I’m looking at it strictly from a time-spent view. I spent 1800 hours total in ME3, I wager my manifest was only maxed for about 1000 to 1200 of them. And in all honesty I did play much more religiously when I did max my manifest (which happened three times). In Andromeda I calculate that I could have everything except perhaps maxed Ultra Rare weapon variants by 500 hours most like. Sure, the gear pool is gigantic in Andromeda compared to ME3, but the shorter matches and ability to buy stuff straight up from the Item Store made it so that you could get a really good fleshed-out manifest in less time spent playing. ... I’ll shut up now.

In MEA The only weapon I got to the I forget what it was called siphon level or whatever it is where you max it out and a new version unlocks was the predator nothing else was close and that was at about 100 hours. Not positive on the hours as it’s lumped with sp and I do a lot of that. I’m missing tons of rates entirely.

The technical mods packs are cheap and it doesn't take long to max them. At first, you get mostly two mods per pack, but once the uncommons are maxed, it slows to about one per pack. Toward the end, it seems to get a bit more infrequent. The PAW with long barrel and heavy magazine mods is pretty awesome. A Dahn with a short barrel and heavy melee is some kind of nice for the melee characters. Same with the Crusader.
Once you have those … I did the expert packs to complete the rares … got a lot of URs by the time the rares were maxed and I had enough consumables to just buy premium packs after that, for the URs.
Once the baseline URs are complete, the focus shifts to completion of your UR characters. I got almost no UR weapon variants until the UR characters were maxed at XX.
As far as I can tell, a siphon I UR weapon is not noticeably different than a siphon X UR weapon. I really don't see a big difference in health restoral. On the other hand, I see a real difference between a concussive I and X UR weapon.
Bulwark weapons … I don't use.
On several characters I double up (when they have the carriage capacity). Gives me enough ammo, primary is the concussive, backup is the siphon. Works pretty darn well.

Very true about the mods pack, I haven’t bought any as I want to get all my characters to grade ten and unlock all the weapons. Plus the base mods that came out at launch I already have at grade ten. For the time being they do the trick.

Don’t forget: - use APEX HQ to send your Strike Teams on missions every couple hours, they can net hundreds of Mission Funds in a week - do the Daily Challenges as often as possible, it’s an easy 60 Mission Funds every day (another 420 in a week) - save up your Mission Funds for those Ultra-Rare unlocks in the Item Store, they cost 960 Mission Funds - play the Celebratory Missions whenever they pop up for the reward pack This’ll help speed things along a shit-ton, especially for Ultra-Rares.

I've given up on maxing my manifest but have gotten some nice weapons & kits I like to play (better have, at nearly 800 hrs/played!) And of course, I wouldn't have played that many hours if there weren't some usable, fun items from the start. Heck, out of curiosity I started the game on an alt account (PS4) and start playing gold as soon as I got some characters to level 14/15. Not hard to contribute (rely more on abilities than gun power). Once you have a P.A.W. you can even help melting big yellow bars.
On topic: really easy Celebratory for a gold match, guess since Combo-tastic. Even got it a second time quick matching to gold.

It was stupid easy. Everyone pretty much hung in the balcony and killed everything. It was kind of fun the first 2 waves before everyone joined in, I was moving around a lot and trying to survive with 1 other person. Once enough guns were on the field it was the balcony. I had multiple celebratory boxes to unpack apparently, i forgot to the last 2 ones i did. Pretty decent packs.
