Here is what I assume is a shameless marketing push for a new brand of "affordable" CNC milling machines. Titans is very involved in keeping/getting back production in USA through advanced engineering and "education" about competitive production. I thought it could maybe be interesting.
The material is Monel K500, lol (but there are actually even worse stuff...)
The part looks like it could maybe fit in a BE-4 engine? But I don't know.
The cutting tools for this kind of machining, are typically made from something under the umbrella label of "Carbide". What that actually is, is a micro/nano composite material made from mainly Tungsten carbide and Cobalt. It was invented after/during WW2 and has been progressively improved ever since, particularly the last decades. Today, it can be almost as hard as diamond, but much, much tougher, heat resistant and stronger. It's absolutely essential for all machining which is in turn essential for all production (because at the very least, all production tooling/machinery is machined). So when you silly Greta fans have used up all Cobalt for silly EV batteries and electric motors, the civilization as we know it comes to an end. ...Just saying.
