(1) - Crafting Materials can be bought from merchants, but only in small amounts with earned currency. [Source]
Uuh... Hello grinding.
(2) - Rarity Tiers
Common Uncommon Rare Epic Legendary Masterwork (Name TBD)
Probably the first three can be ignored in terms of meaningful helpfulness (ie: DPS, shield, armour... etc)
(3) - If you missed picking up any Loot, you can pick it up at Fort Tarsis.
Hm... how would this work? Or, why bother picking up loot?
It was very briefly mentioned in the live stream, via in game mail at Fort Tarsis. Also from what was said it will only apply to the higher tier loot should you miss picking it up.

An item drops from an enemy you kill. You don't pick it up because either you don't see it, or don't have space in your inventory. If it's above a certain rarity, the game automatically sends that item to your mailbox back in the hub so you can collect it there. Destiny uses the exact same system, and I believe The Division has something similar. In those games, you are incentivized to collect loot yourself because your mailbox has a limited capacity, and once you fill it up, it'll start forcing old unclaimed rewards out (causing them to disappear completely) in order to put newer stuff in. I think I would be surprised if there weren't any achievements for speed runs. Like 'yeah, you're proud that you can complete this place in 20 mins? Ok, here's an achievement for figuring out how to complete it in 10 mins!" Eh, not too sure about it being an actual achievement unlock (you'd be surprised about how many people get upset by games having extremely difficult achievements), but I wouldn't be surprised if there were special in-game rewards and/or some "attaboy"s from developers for getting really fast times.

UnknowNapkinXBOX There is, Mark said as much on twitter when asked about how long day or night lasts I believe he said about an hour. (But I can't find the tweet right now)
Brenon Holmes Yep, it's either 55 or 60 minutes... can't quite recall off the top of my head. 😊

Yep, it's either 55 or 60 minutes... can't quite recall off the top of my head. 😊 I wonder if we're at a time where games could try and give us fluctuating day/night cycles? Like, if we're at a region that is far enough from the equator and the planet spins in similar fashion Earth does it would mean that we'd get summers/winters and thus increasingly longer days and longer nights, rinse and repeat every now and then during the year? I think I would be surprised if there weren't any achievements for speed runs. Like 'yeah, you're proud that you can complete this place in 20 mins? Ok, here's an achievement for figuring out how to complete it in 10 mins!" The challenge doesn't necessarily have to be particularly hard, especially when the route and method are figured out. I do play games in which we have stuff like speedruns and all kinds of different challenges, some of which come with titles or even skins - folks figure it out, then we teach or help other folks how to do it or help them get their achievements. It can be a pretty neat collaborative process, and BW is one of those that want to encourage group play so that'd fit quite neatly in.

Of course, I'm not suggesting that there be no in-game recognition or rewards for speedruns or anything like that - I'm specifically talking about Origin achievements or console trophies (as in, something you would have to do if you wanted the achievement for getting all achievements). Apologies if I didn't make that clear enough. I'm no stranger to helping other people complete challenges like you mention (there were a ton of these back in the ME3MP days, where completing specific challenges rewarded you with a unique item pack and playercard), and it's a pretty fun process. Met a few people back then who I still talk to today. Hopefully Anthem will have something similar, and it sounds like it will.

I thought what they care about most is finding shortcuts through the game, whether through glitching or through a bypass put their intentionally by the devs for speedrunners.

I actually don't know how to respond to this, so congrats for that I guess. You seem to be under the impression that speedrunners are off in their own separate bubble and have no interaction with the rest of the community or particular interest in the game they're running, which couldn't be further from the truth. Speedrunners aren't some secret club that go from game to game for the sole purpose of doing speedruns. More often than not, they're people who are already invested in the game/franchise and go "I wonder how quickly I can do [x]".

Brenon Holmes Everything is instanced, no one can steal your loot or your pick ups. 😊
Loot from enemies is determined per player (you might get loot and I might not). The quality and type of loot will also vary depending on a whole mess of factors.
Loot from other sources like chests might drop loot for everyone... But again will vary in quality and type from player to player.
CMDR_1PC Hi Brenon, thanks for being so active on the subreddit to answer our questions.
Just to clarify, can you confirm that ammo drops are instanced but synced across all instances? For example, if the third enemy to my right dropped secondary weapon ammo, could I call that out so that my fireteam could go to pick it up also?
Brenon Holmes I'm pretty sure that's the case right now... There's one global roll when the enemy dies... This could change though.
For some enemy types, they also have a chance to drop pickups as their health decreases. 😊

Nevermind groups of people, usually friends, who have done the content 3 zillion times, know the place like the back of their hand but need a weapon/achievement/daily quest completion/mat/whatever else is there to get.

By speed runners, I thought you meant competitive speed runners, which indeed are an elite group, much as competitive esports gamers are an elite group. Speed running as exemplified by Games Done Quick circuit events (https://gamesdonequick.com/), world record leader boards at www.speedrun.com/ and live streaming portal www.speedrunslive.com/ among others. There’s also the speed runners forum where runners trade tips on glitches and skips at speeddemosarchive.com/. I follow letterswords, a speed runner who holds the world’s record for DAI at a little over 2 hours.

Is this the first time we are hearing about her or did i miss something? Okay, it looks like that was taken from the Pre-Order info: www.ea.com/games/anthem/news/pre-order-to-become-an-anthem-founder"Constructing a Javelin is the crowning achievement of humanity, dating back to the first Javelin creators – the Legion of Dawn. In the darkest chapter of humanity’s history, it was the Legion of Dawn who brought us into the light. Commanded by the legendary General Helena Tarsis, the Legion of Dawn were the first Javelin pilots – and many say the greatest."
