The Storm is a combo elementalist (and Warner's favorite) "The trick with the Storm is, the elemental attacks are great. They apply status effects which set up great combos for the rest of your team. You don't have a lot of armor though, it's a really slim suit. So you're quite vulnerable. When you're up in the air, you get a damage mitigating shield. When you're down on the ground, no shield. So it becomes tricky, it's a neat skill balance and a lot of fun to play. It's my favorite Javelin." Ack. I really hope we won't get this "you can set up combos but not trigger them yourself" nonsense again. I hope this gets clarified soon.

My guess it's a regenerating shield with its own HPs (like the Ranger). The Storm can hover forever, so invulnerability wouldn't make sense. I wonder how these things scale. with gear? or skills? Both? capped? If there's gear in the game that determines the amount of health and shields you have, then I would imagine that - as you level up - your shield becomes much stronger.

Hmmm... I don’t think you do damage if you just fly into them. You do have air melee though [HASH]ANT Hmmm, hadn't really thought about using myself as a human bullet, but they should reconsider that. Hell if I'm going to die anyways I'll go kamikaze and take some baddies with me. Probably need to balance that with a respawn/revive penalty. Air melee...yes!

There is a Freelancer perk that increases pickup radius [HASH]ANT Calling it: It's gonna be one of the most popular perks. Definitely. It's actually one of the things I've seen I straight up don't like. I'd rather be, and have everyone else, focused on mission progression than worrying about vacuuming up missed orbs. I think resupply points or drops are a better way to deal with health and ammo packs...and rewards/upgrades presented at the end of the mission.

I'd rather be, and have everyone else, focused on mission progression than worrying about vacuuming up missed orbs. I think resupply points or drops are a better way to deal with health and ammo packs...and rewards/upgrades presented at the end of the mission. Don't forget that loot above a certain rarity will be auto-collected regardless of your radius and be deposited at your base (Fort or Strider).

Mark Darrah @biomarkdarrah I think so. For status effects like freezing and burning, different creatures require different amounts of that effect to cause the status.

Brenon Holmes Mmm... I think this may be a misunderstanding. You build your meter based on a lot of different things (some of which are suit dependent), kills is just one of them. So you can absolutely build your ultimate meter on bosses. 😊
