Gilbert @gilbert25412617 @benirvo i know the story area is solo but if a group of us all start at the same time will the whole story progress for each of us or will it only progress for the person who’s invited the people in?
Ben Irving @benirvo All of you
Michael Gamble @gamblemike This is important. In anthem you can experience the story together. It advances for everyone unless you’re simply reinforcing an existing mission you’ve played

I hadn't really understood that detail before. That is a factor I'll have to consider for the Critpath. I tend to use a fairly slow pace for the main quest of most SP games, doing side quests and just exploring in between main quest stages. If I'm not ready to progress the Critpath yet, I'm going to have to turn down invites for the next stage.

I don’t think you will, but you might know the name of the next stage for where you are at in the critpath. So if someone invites you to help find The Lost Arcanist, and you know that’s the next stage you’ve been putting off, it’s decision time. I think it’s a safe assumption that an invite to a Mission or Stronghold will include its name.

Rob Relentless @pure_Relentless @gamblemike @bio_Warner @benirvo Thank you guys for answering all our questions, I just wanted to know if the level unlocks for our Javelins have been finalized? Like say we unlock our Javelins at 5,15,25 etc.
Ben Irving @benirvo 2,8,16,24 may change still You can choose whatever you want at level 2
(The initial Ranger appears to be a temp Javelin you use just for the tutorial)

If the demo goes from level 10 to level 15, just shy of level for unlocking a third Javelin, we could skip the Ranger … but I'm guessing it will be issued to us for the demo (as if we chose it at level 2) and probably get to pick the other one.
Storm? … Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? Interceptor? … Storm? On the other hand, if we get to pick both …

I think your right it makes sense to have a Javelin that can cover all aspects (tank, mage, etc) during the tutorial to get the feel of things before deciding which Javelin you want to play as part of a group/solo.

I like that you're not locked into a particular Javelin for the duration of the game. I find, in a game like this it makes more sense to be open-ended and have choice than to be locked into one thing. Because let's not forget Players, we, are not our Javelins, we are Pilots and the Javelins are like our military Jets (in the sense that they are machines which you climb into and fly. It would be helpful if over the span a pilot's career, if he had training to fly various jets. It would also be helpful if he/she could learn different skills and abilities, like NOTN7 said above (Tradiontal RPG roles of Tank, Mage, Rogue Suppport) and perform varying roles for different missions depending on what the mission parameters are.
Now speaking of switching stuff around, I think most here would agree that we used most accustomed to traditional RPGs from Bioware where you select your 'class' at the beginning of the game (ME: Soldier, Adept, Vanguard etc. DA: Warrior, Rogue, Mage) and you play as that for the whole game. Admittedly, when I first heard that for Andromeda that you would be able to combine skills and abilities from what were traditionally different classes, I was uneasy about it- even put off by it (because I thought, "No, that's not how Mass Effect is done. That's not an RPG, that's cheating in a sense and it takes away the challenge of sticking with the choice you made") But, once I played Andromeda and tried that feature out a few times, I began to like it and find it useful. Personally I still stick to one class as much as possible and spec my Ryder out in that one class as much as I can...But there are times when I might take one or two skills from a different branch.
That being said, I am glad that for ANTHEM, they are giving us flexibility to interchange stuff.

Not exactly. For DA, I'd switch to my companions at need, during combat. So you can sample all the classes relatively early in the game.

Yes, Charlie I see your point. For Inquisition, I do switch playable characters/companions depending on how the battle is going, and that is true in doing so you do get to as you say "sample each class". I never thought of it that way, but you're right.
