People who publicly host lobbies modded to make it easier deserve all the ire and scorn in the universe. I enabled text chat specifically to call them all sorts of nasty words that would get me banned if Bioware still cared. People who publicly host lobbies modded to make it harder are pretty cool, however it is rude to not warn people prior to the match starting. My game is coalesced modded to have 10 enemies present at all times on the map, up from 8. Most pugs don't even notice the difference, except that they hit the floor every 2 seconds instead of every 5. One of mine is modded to 12, it's a good number. Always something to kill, even with BSNers Often someone to revive, too, but that might have something to do with Scions sprinting and Ravagers skating about.

I mostly agree with the TS, but I have to notice that these modifications should have a direct impact on the gameplay. For instance, if you change your skill name without making any other changes, it's perfectly fine with me, but if you make that skill do 5x damage, it's not. Making the game harder is definitely better than making it easier, but a warning would be more than desirable, because I want those extra shields if I'm about to drop into a 120 FPS game.
That said, I have a question. Is it possible to mod your game if you're playing off-host? For example, can a player have his Katana shotgun do as much damage as Claymoar if he's playing off-host? My guess would be that it's not possible, because the game is using the host's files. But please tell me if I'm wrong.

SOME Modifications work off host, but yeah, it is usually synced to the host's files. I haven't done a complete and exhaustive test of it, I just play private lobbies so I don't end up hosting publically (though it might be funny to see how PUGs react to my mod/s).

I'm wondering how effective is Biotic Hammer against other Krogans. Can't wait to land into this FWP5 to discover that. do powers work in changeteam ? I 'd read only lash worked ? (... and disruptor ammo ) ( i never use the console for anything but chat ) . ) . Do lift grenades work? That could be hilarious with those lame 2 hour game map bug campers on hydra..... Although i suppose lash could suffice there as well...

And this is why I want a PC. I need more insane people in my lobbies.
My 5 cents, restarting on PC was the best thing I ever did, gaining mouse precision aiming and 60fps alone were total game changers for me, it just feels smoother and faster. And the PC matchmaking scene is very active, I'm closing in on 90hours on PC and while I see a few familiar names I'm constantly running into new people playing ME3MP, so the pool must be fairly large still.
Restarting the manifest is pretty daunting, but I don't think anyone would look down on playing catch up by adding some credits via the command console. I enjoyed the fresh manifest for the first ~45hours and being forced to play some kits I'd normally never touch before boosting my Manifest to roughly where my X360 one was at.

Well, I've enjoyed playing modded, and the smoother framerate, but I have to say, I'm not sure I'd consider it the best thing I ever did, not even the best thing I ever did in ME3. I came from PS3, the platform you all like to hate on as the buggest platform ME3 is on, but I have the opposite experience, I've ran into FAR more issues on PC (AND ran into FAR more shitty, lame hackers than I ever ran into Missile Glitchers) than on PS3. Have I enjoyed connecting with the PC BSNers? Yes. Have I enjoyed playing mods? Yes. Do I regret switching to PC? No. Is it the omgbestest Platform? Sounds like a shiniest turd contest, like comparing UPlay to Origin.

Arkhne Yeah fair enough, these days my wrist and lower back MUCH prefer I play console games on the couch. Another factor for me is that I found X360 ME3MP a bit of a cluster f**k more times than not, even 2 years after ME3 was released Gold matches were infested with players who couldn't pull their weight, and for a long time I didn't have the skill and later on lacked the willpower to carry poor players on Gold. Also it was common practice for a host or team mates to go down or get sync killed and just rage quit the match entirely. It was probably an X360 thing but if people left after ~wave5-6 it didn't bother finding replacements, also the latency related issues were out of this world. Really thinking and looking back if ME3MP wasn't as amazing as it is, I 100% would have quit within a week considering the issues that plagued PUG'ing. It's unfair to compare to the PC scene today where there is nothing but the trydiehards left! The standard of PUG players still going today is lightyears from my average matches back in 2012-2014. It's all anecdotal at the end of the day, play whatever works best for you.

I feel blessed to have finally found L0ouny lobby, he wasn't the host but I still watched his Hurricane melt a Banshee in about 1.5 seconds on plat and he was tanking heaps of hits.
I got to use changeteam for the first time and harrass them for a bit, there was other people in that lobby going ham with console commands to reset after getting sync killed etc.

I'm pretty sure the Crusader fix works offhost...? Thanks a lot! Your posts actually led me to thinking that while Coalesced.bin changes can be made on-host only, other files' changes (like .pcc ones, and the famous Crusader bug fix is exactly that, an altered .pcc file) will affect the game both on- and off-host. And I also remembered people wielding Argus ARs that go brrrrrrrrrrt - you can stumble upon them while both hosting and pugging.

I thought the FWP5 guy was dead, or (s)he became tired of cheating, since it's been many months since i bumped into him. Unfortunately today i met him again in London, with his uber OP weapons, of course i changed team, killed him, and made the game fail. Unfortunately there were 2 other PUGs that maybe didn't realize they were playing on an asshole host, and so i think they thought the asshole was me, especially when i took the Pizza on w3 and caused the game to fail . I felt a bit like shit due to this. Well, today I've also learnt that our beloved and working (as intended) Origin has a report feature, so i reported him for cheating. Of course this will accomplish nothing but, hey, i had no crash during the report process!
