Still waiting for that Silver game where you play drellguard and me QFE I have deployed him and made his awesome jacket look pretteh. Because "Thane Krios" sounds sorta faux-Greek, I went with a similar theme and named him Aperis Keptos. I hope you're looking forward to your 15 revive medal

After a month I played again. Started a new acc to get back into the game. What I noticed: - lots of new players on silver (ErzPaladin must be glad), with basic lvl1 weapons and under 50 N7 points - it's impossible to get teammates if I want to play on Condor - it's nearly impossible not to roll Collectors if I want to play Gold - I went in with a Mantis X and a spare ammo mod V only (lvl 20 FHI), and still managed to carry a Gold London/Collectors match with the host Jugg, who ragequitted mid wave 6 after a stomp, the others following him. Apparently gelling still isn't hip in this game. I completed W6 (targets!) and let a nearby captain fill me with some CSMG goodness before the PS freezed. - this match actually started "funny", when I ran up to the balcony after spawning, I realized two pugs followed me and were shooting their ARs/SMGs from a sniper spot, I realized they have no idea what to do and this match will be a sweaty one - so now that I relearned the game, I'm getting back to do the impossible: maxing my manifest

Pretty soon we'll be having you playing drellguard like a pro. Or at least as good as I do Good games, the lot of them. Don't sell yourself short, while Arc AA is a pretty sick combo, it still takes skill to play effectively, especially on Plat. And given I was Reegaring myself with batguard in the first game, you have no reason to be ashamed of anyything. Changed to my my Wraith AA combo for the second game(all asari game... ) and we matched Cerberus bullshit ounce for an ounce. Match fun and many raging phantoms that were unable to do anything because of Stasis The l00t was pretty phat for me as well... two Carriers, a Crusader(who is now, at level eight, tied with Valkyrie for my highest UR) and a double pack with Valiant III and Lancer VI. Still no maxed URs though We totally need to do it again if we can catch Grunt, because Plat isn't nearly as much fun with pugs who keep dying and fail to equip, well... anything! Still waiting for that Silver game where you play drellguard and me QFE Those decoys sure did a fine job for me And I've always been a scrub, plat confirms And really Grunt? You complain about me using Wraith, but not Reegar? Really? You've fallen to the dark side, my friend. Well, I never expect too much from Batarians in the class department. They're just thugs. You really should try the Raider though, it's the perfect fit for him. But as for the Wraith, well, let's just say I was expecting something different from a man who promised to be 'fully committed to the game', know what I mean? I'm half-expecting a 'Dear Louifi' thank you post if someone should be deluded enough to start a Wraith appreciation thread. Also, dude, the bit were you returned from the dead on Dagger and came running down the ramp towards us to join in the hack, but didn't quite make it? Priceless. In all seriousness though those were fun games and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I've never had an all Krogan Plat game, but I imagine the between wave headbutts would be almost as much fun as the Asarigasms, especially on waves when we're reunited by an emergency missile after three of us have been picked up. This must be remedied. I volunteer to help, and I'm sure we can convince the wife to join us in all her Kroganity (Yes, this is a word, see previous notes on Krogan words).

I've pondered the perfect Krogan team many times, but have yet to come to any conclusions. My head tells me the host should be a Vanguard and there should be no more than two grenadiers, but my quads tell a Vanilla Sentinel leading a team of three Soldiers using Claymores and Graals is the true essence of a real Krogan squad. And of course anyone choosing Grenades over Berzerker Gear is a pyjak. On Gold that's just a riot waiting to happen. Plat though? Hmmm....I might want/need my Claymore X for that. And sorry I couldn't join you guys last night but as you can see I was having a riot with some other scrubs.

PS. Highs: did exactly that later last night again, as a Quadruple Krogan gold on Reactor Hazard. This was a part of our series of gold games, all themed - each theme picked by different player. Included in the theme games late last night: - 4x batarians - team scumbag! White vs. Cerbs - 4x vanilla humans on Vancouver vs. Reapers - 4x N7s on Giant vs. Reapers - 4x biotics (which is common, though) - on White vs. Reapers - 4x Krogan that isn't to the right of an N7 - on grraaggghreactor vs. grrrhaggghtoasters Sidenote: I got fried twice by my husband, once with another teammate, and a few others extra crispies were happening. But being Krogan, no fucks were given that game. Lows: none. (although store could give me more guns rather than just cryo me a river.)

Either that, or a Battlemaster at least. No clan could exist without its shaman though. And a Krogan who isn't a Soldier, is no Krogan. So, I think it would have to be Warlord, Battlemaster, Shaman, and Soldier. However, there may be too many leaders and not enough Grunts in this team. So dropping either the Warlord or the Battlemaster for a Sentinel would make sense. However, from a gameplay interaction point of view, Warlord, Battlemaster, Shaman, and Sentinel is probably the least conflicting, as Warlord and Battlemaster are both good Biotic detonators (Never underestimate a Biotic Hammer combo on a primed target).

If I was to rank my Krogans in order of preference, it would be Vanilla Sentinel - - Soldier - - - - Battlemaster/Shaman - - - - - - - Warlord. For me, the Warlord is Randy Quaid - my idiot cousin. I love the big guy because he's family, but I wouldn't trust him to go to the shops on his own. That is not a reflection on your epic play with him, I hope you understand - it's entirely personal. And I'm categorically not saying I wouldn't want you to play him. Stop. Hammer Time and all that - it's always good. In pug terms, the Battlemaster is rarely a team player, but if he is he can work amazingly with the Shaman, and I do often think that a full Krogan Biotic squad consisting of a team-oriented Battlemaster leader supported by a Warlord, Shaman and Vanilla Sentinel would be epic. But then I think of my poor Soldier left at home and think no, a Krogan squad without a Soldier isn't an option, so the Warlord gets dropped. Then I change my mind again.

Low: Many games lately with people ignoring objectives, ops packs firimg off after death, people who really shouldn't "play" the game at gold difficulty.
High: Combat Mastery mastered 20 Times now. I do enjoy those bastards flying. Really, I do.

These are the thoughts that weigh heavily upon our souls and keep us awake at night. Do we burn them with the Soldier? Or explode them with the Shaman? Pummel them with a Battlemaster? Or Obliterate them with the Warlord's Hammer? Or perhaps, we just lay on the hurt as the Krentinel? ARGH! What sadist gave us these awesome options! It is true that PUG Battlemasters and PUG Warlords are essentially worthless. However, people who play them well are a true asset. (I wont claim to play the Battlemaster well, he's an oddball for me for sure, and I truly need to learn to melee more with my non-Warlord Krogan, sadly I mostly use it as a stagger tool with added DR). I truly envy your ability (both mentally/emotionally and experience-wise) to play Melee Krogan. I love all the Krogan, there is not a bad one among them. And even if I play some oddball builds on them (by BSN's Elitist Standards), they're all incredibly powerful.

High: Had a pretty good Gold match with Mister_Onion on Jade Rippahs, who plays an excellent Valkyrie. Low: GRABMANIA. We wiped badly on Hazard Giant Collecturds and I got synched twice by Scions after being happily ungrabbed by them for eight months. The Banshees on Jade were also grab-happy, including one super long distance Magnet Hands which Marauder Shields shot me out of (thanks dude). High: Pretty sure I killed at least eight of those Banshee scum on Jade. They only got me twice

So count me in whenever you'd like an all Krogan team against the toasters on Gold. On platinum I'd play it differently.

Low: Just played a Glacier/Reapers/Gold match , me 220k DA, followed by 60k, 50k, 50k, Juggy, and two Huntresses. I thought Reave would detonate some explosions, but this ended up a rarity. High: PUGs were very focused on staying alive and reviving, and thanked me for the carry - not a bad game.

Well, where to begin here: High: Three really good matches with Crashsuit and Terminator Force, with whom I was very privileged and fortunate to play. One Gold (Condor/Reapers), Two Plat (Rio/Reapers and Condor/Collectors). I think. I played a lot tonight and it all blurred. High: Crashsuit using the R.E.V.V.A.Y. on the Geth Engineer (I think) and trying to shoot Palaven out of the sky High: Terminator Force epically carrying everyone on wave 8 in nasty Plat Rio, then doing it again on wave 10 drone escort, successfully kiting Banshees and Primes away twice and running back to the drone. We ended up wiping but that was a heck of an effort by an extremely good player. I also learned some nuances on where and when to revive from my copious time in spectator mode. Low: What happened to all of my medigel? Low: The CPU's synch-kill button was primed and ready tonight. Besides the Scion and Banshee mashfest earlier with Mister Onion, a Banshee prevented me from extracting on Condor because she synched me at 18 seconds, I was shot by mooks while in the air, then at :08 I had to gel, try to dodge two phantoms, and rush over to the LZ (i missed it). Low: I am a terrible Kroldier. But he's like my default character these days. Um: Speaking of spectator mode, at one point I realized that I had been mashing the space bar for two minutes after I had bled out.... .... from a synch kill.

High: had a go at Drellguard. Just in Silver, don't feel brave enough to take him anywhere near Gold (yet?) I had fun! I like how manoeuvrable he is, and the cluster grenades are a lot of fun. And there's that stylin' jacket. Living on shield/health-gate is a bit disconcerting, though I didn't drop any more than I usually would versus Silver Cerberus.
Mordokai held up his end of the bargain and played QFE (in full-on Tali mode with Claymore), and jolly effective he was, too. I hope he'll play her in Gold alongside my Claymore QFI sometime.

High : Got to play some very nice games with Arkhne, his lovely lady Arktinen and their friend Rossi. After Rossi left, for our final game of the day (Rippaz/Gold/Ghost) we got a rara avis, a very competent N7 Demolisher and we managed a 10 wave survival with full extraction. Low : After a very satisfying all krogan game against the Golden toasters on Godess (oh the sheer joy of bashing toasters ) upon mission successful we got all stuck on "Waiting for the other players". We could not see how many melee kills we got

We could not see how many melee kills we got I suspect that they were an alt account (though it's enirely possible it wasn't). It's rare to see competent players on PS3 with an N7 Rank of exactly 120. I find it suspicious when they play that well with exactly 120 N7 Rank. Raider AIU, Hurricane HSent, PPR Jugg, and Hornet Demolisher (Who joined late, and still scored pretty well, 2nd I think), Reapers didn't stand a chance. EDIT: High: Took Saber Quarksman against Collectors. Low: Said Collector match ended.

High: Ran my 1st Plat since returning to the game with Mexximal and Ark and an ok Juggpug. Reapers/Glacier went by somewhere like 22 minutes. Had a blast.
Low: Invisible phantoms. Never gibbed but dropped too many times.

Lets just say the time spent doing nothing has been somewhat stressful for me. Don't really remember what was happening after that, though I'm not really sure if that is to be attributed to stress or too much alcohol consumption. Oh well, another thing to work out in therapy, I guess High: had a go at Drellguard. Truth be told, I kinda sucked. I had no idea what I was doing and if weren't for Claymore, I don't think I would have done nearly as well. Well, that and Silver, it just became too easy But seriously, I had no idea what I was doing. Her combos are unknown to me, so I was making it as I was going along. Hell, I didn't even manage to rack 25 tech kills in second game Not sure if I'll be comfortable with taking her fitnessles ass into Gold anytime soon. Was jolly good fun watching my little drone picking off Guardian after Guardian though And you did great as drellguard. Now all you have to do is start making an ass out of yourself by light meeleing between the waves, during escorts and hacks and you'll be a real pro Oh and Claymore, of course.

Hell, I didn't even manage to rack 25 tech kills in second game Not sure if I'll be comfortable with taking her fitnessles ass into Gold anytime soon. Her combos involve using cryo blast as a debuff, and incinerate to detonate the explosion primed by either incendiary or disruptor ammo. Part of why she's fun is the number of different ways she can dispatch mooks: cryo blast + shot; incinerate + shot; cryo blast + incinerate (if your cooldown is short); shot + incinerate. For big armour: cryo blast, shoot a few times, incinerate to detonate techsplosion, repeat until dead. I use the turret situationally, it's good for distracting things (including Banshees once they're in Warp/Nova mode), chucking into spawns to opportunistically pick off mooks, shocking Phantoms and mopping up Swarmers. There's something amusingly satisfying when the kill feed registers an Atlas or Banshee being finished off by the turret. Running her without fitness is brave. I take full fitness, four in passives and four in turret, then use a power amp III or IV in Gold.

High: Got to get some games in Friday night before getting booted from the server with 8 seconds left to extraction, figures that happens with my first time playing in over a week.
Low: Downloaded the demo for pc to see if my computer can handle the game...it can't, although it's probably just the shitty monitor

Low : After a very satisfying all krogan game against the Golden toasters on Godess (oh the sheer joy of bashing toasters ) upon mission successful we got all stuck on "Waiting for the other players". We could not see how many melee kills we got The answer: Not enough. Never enough. I should have quit the match I was in to join you guys, but I was having a kind of surreal time and I knew it would be my last before bed (sorry Arkhne for not replying). I'm trying to finish off my Bloodpack Mastery (surprise!) so have a couple of games left with the BatDept before the KroSol will see me over the line for the 11th time. I was in a genuinely bizarre game on White against Reapers with a Vorcha Sentinel who had an N7 rank over 4k. I recognized his or her name too, though I can't say if it's from BSN or just previous encounters. At the end of our failed mission on wave 11 I had around 170k and he had 30k, with a Geth something on 50k. But before it seems like I'm judging them harshly, it's important I give the Vorcha credit for using 3 gels and 2 missiles to clutch wave 3, so I wouldn't have got any credits without that. And they both also assisted with an escort from hell on wave 10. Other than that though, they didn't really do much, and the wave 11 missile which resulted in me getting overrun would have been much more appreciated on the previous wave, I have to say. In spectator mode, the attempt by the Vorcha to camp the EZ from the start of the timer is still troubling me the morning after. How can you have a 4k N7 rank and still try to camp the EZ on White?! High: In the game before I took the Human Engineer for a spin just to check I haven't been talking bollocks in the Combat Drone thread. I haven't been talking bollocks in the Combat Drone thread.

Highs: Scoring 200k on Gold with a Concussive Shot/Lancer-Build of the Vanilla Human Soldier. Almost forgot how effective it is - and really chilly to play! Also I'm slowly getting the hang of the Turian Cabal, wiped miserably with her the other day on Gold/London/Collectors - yesterday really rocking the same combination (with which the game always blesses me when playing vanguards...). Low: Getting slashed by a Phantom from the front, rolling backwards away from her, Atlas missile from out of nowhere staggering me forward right back onto her sword - thanks Atlas Also, my teammates got sliced and diced too - so that game ended badly
