I liked JR's posts mostly here. I also don't believe in good cops. Most Reddit moderation staffs are ACAB material, and the naming and shaming rule is seriously so 2012 I can't even wtfbbq.

So, I am interested in what could sway my mind there.

Edit - The Paladin Build guide up on there right now is long winded and just so wrong in so many ways.

Eh... It was a thing, and why it is MECoop and not ME3Coop as it originally was IIRC. I understand it - our fanbase divides itself by many arbitrary (and often silly) battle lines. Not all of us like both here, but some do. What will always blow my mind is that some people play MEA (SP and MP) and honestly think it is a superior gameplay experience - because graphics? People talk about "smoothness of movement" and I honestly have no fucking clue what they are talking about. But I digress.

JRandall, why do you allow your silly little subreddit full of misinformation, mansplaint bad build guides written by BronzeLords, and also drive away good contributors like Cherry? I understand you are not the King, but a member of a council. How did thou doth protest?

Just witnessed the quickest disconnect ever.

Joined a GIP with 1 other player and shortly after a 3rd joined. A 4th then joined and of course it was everyone's fav DispenserOfLove.

The Host almost immediately pulled the plug and it goes without saying I didn't stick around for the Host transfer.

Too many.

I got down on myself pretty hard in 2012/13.

I heard these things constantly.

"Go play Bronze"
"Use a real gun"
"At least spam your drone so it does something"
"You suck"
"You really suck"
"God you fucking suck"

Pretty sure he was one of them. But there were many lol.

I was committed (should have been committed to the sanitarium rather) and eventually got gud despite the haters, because I was invested with emotion. Dumb, but yeah.

I think a great number of people get that stuff once, twice maybe, and that's a wrap. Trolls do immense disservice to games, and the maintainers of said games have a responsibility to do better.

If we ever get another MEMP, hopefully this is taken into consideration.

The old forums were really something Ash, I don't think you can fully comprehend how "serious" this all was once, how much butthurt was handed out, how many famous disgraced cheaters there were. Unless you were there - it is 100% Pepperidge Farms.



I came back to those forums after years of just inhabiting the modding subs, as I was a modder and sub-moderator at LucasForums. I did so, because I was having a really hard time with lag and Vanguard glitch. I was used to friendly people trying to help each other make cool things, and thought that was what gaming developer forums were supposed to be for... Naivety defined.

What a time to be alive.

One of my reddit accounts did too, before cherry.

I was just plainly telling people how bad their build was, based on the information provided and relevant knowledge why (broken powers/weapons that cannot use piercing, etc) without any feelings involved. Simple facts.

Straight to jail.

On my last reddit account, I just stopped visiting there. It was just too dumb for words most of the time, and anyone who knew what they were talking about were talked down or moderated.

I've definitely done that before (i.e. created a new account to get around a ban on a particular sub), my current reddit account is probably like my 4th or 5th at this point and no one has caught me so far..
