Recent Game Highlights and/or Low Points

Just before I head off to the gym!

I played with MeetYourNanny two games, one Reactor Collectors and one White Cerberus.

Pretty good games for me, lag was quite manageable - GPS did its job in the second game to tack on even more incendiary on top of flamer grenades!

Ahh, the bugs...they almost had us at the end of wave 10, but Nanny had one more missile tucked away in his Juggernaut Shields.

Aids Victus, you did your job, but died one too many just like your brother in the single player. Atleast the slice and dice with the PPR was very good.

Pucker Factor, you did your job, naded everything and then poped a clip pack with 10 seconds to go to steal all the kills near the end. But it didn't work. Damn Batarian laziness, you think you'd do the job better, what being paid 82,000 credits.

Pls don´t mention the 3rd game. I was eating more dirt than cracking nuts. Doh. And I didn´t rev you that much on Rio, at best it was a bronze medal. But funny games!

High: had only three games today, but all of them were platinum. Sure, all of them were hosted by me, all of them were preset to either White or Glacier and Cerberus and I had a very competent team of pugs(be still my beating heart, they exist!) and I played downright cheesy characters on all of them, that is Piranha GI, Reegar brawler and Raider Valkyrie.

But despite all of it, they were some of the most fun and smooth games in a long time. Our teams mostly stick together, helped with objectives, there was little to no score whoring to be had and while missiles were used liberally(even by yours truly), there was never a sense like we were trying to compete with each other, only in spirit of helping the team. In fact, in just about every facet of the games, these three games today went smoother than much of my Gold games lately have. Seems like leechers are a little afraid of dipping their toes in Platinum, so they stay in Gold.

Higher: each game contained a juggernaut who knew how to do his job and while they heavy meeled a lot, they rarely went down. They did however helped with objectives a lot and tanked properly, making the life of entire team that much easier.

Higher still: two of those juggs were using High Lord.

Low: none. None whatsoever. In fact, if the Platinum is like this, I may actually migrate to it more often from now on.

You'll usually get them when you least expect , at least in my experience.  Also CP and N7 points = usually irrelevant.

And third, judging from your last videos, that might have been a challenge for you with a 1st Lvl kit, so...

That sucks. On my part, I never managed to get even over 200k in any game. Highest was somewhere in vicinity of 180k, if memory serves, with two of the pugs breaking 100k barrier.

High: my foraging of Platinum continues, today I even broke the mold and preset a game for Reapers. Don't know if it's the fact that I watched so many videos of you guys soloing Cerberus, but wave composition for Reapers it utterly unknown to me. So many primes... we managed to slog through, but it was pretty terrifying. Luckily, Black Widow DAI knows his way around the Glacier

Higher: managed to snag Grunt for two games and his batarian soldier is a proper scum, but properly dangerous as well Thanks for putting up with me old buddy and thanks for helping me around. Don't know if I could do it without you.

I'm starting to dig this Platinum gig

Speaking from my experience, you rarely get rest from playing with pugs. The competent pug is a "rara avis"...

On the contrary, I can say I always feel comfortable playing with friends. I have a long list here, a huge majority being BSN-ers and I don't want to enumerate them out of the (justified) fear I might leave someone out (yep, I am old enough to forget things ).
These are nice people and good players, that will not let you down and with which FUN  (which for me is the most important part of the game) is almost guaranteed. 

I can relate but I've been tamed through experience now, and more and more often, I start a match or join one where not everyone will be able to survive the difficult rounds...at the very least. The one that comes to mind is the Collector match I had on Glacier. I mean, by now the hunt for ultra-rares is too tedious, might as well have fun instead!

So today with CelticCookie we played more Collectors. I have Collected 4 Collector Generals. Damn... 


Anyways, I goofed again. I was using claywhore on gethgineer without smart choke or AP of any kind. After the game I was just shaking my head ahead, NO WONDER I SUCKED! Well actually we did not extract, but we managed to get device 4 on wave 10, wiped, but got our 75k. It's fun to lose sometimes now...

Like I was firing so many Claymore shots, I had damage barrel and extra clips + Warp 4 + rail amp 3. Doc, I swear it took 10 shots to kill a Scion. Like 15 to kill a Prae-Prae....

And my reload cancel budget for the claymore was pretty much used up....Next match was against reapers, on London...and we had 2 Flamers!! Done in 22 mins, pretty easy too, but I missed 1/3 of my shots, and also messed up the reload cancel so much, I had to rely on the reload while power is deployed technique more. Ah well, slightly less dps, but that's why we options right?

Oh - shoutout to Annika/Annsa, she is now a solid Silver player, and will soon be gold ready. She knows now why the Falcon, and other lightweight projectile guns are so great for powers! And not to use disruptor ammo on Adepts! Watch out, we have an up and comer amongst us!

Making progress doing challenges 

Got to play a few games with Mal for the 1st time in 9 months. His lolPS3 died back then, but he found a way to get on yesterday.
Also, got to get carried by EV, FireRider, and Mexx for a few games yesterday. Unfortunately, was unable to join Oni and Yummy.

This is when I wish for a folding_chair amp V and a glass_of_wine amp V, so you could just walk over, get comfy at the top of the stairs, sipping wine, casually alternating cloak with shield boost and observe the specimen for a round or two.
