Another High: Got a round of good U/U/G games with akots (happy to see you again, man), which turned at the end into him trying some very funny, but not so efficient kits: vanilla AA with BatGauntlet and a human melee adept (?! - you'll have to explain that kit pls). Anyhow another bunch of funny games to end the day. Nice games! We also had a nice Gi/Javelin player, Chan plus some numbers in his nick, and some new guy who was really trying, reviving and doing objectives. Vanilla Asari adept with Batarian gauntlet is just for lulz, completely useless but very stylish. The animation is very cool, almost as nice as asarigasm. Human melee adept is actually very decent on a good map against cerberus. The melee goes for about 4 meters in about 175 degree cone (or is it 210 degree, don't remember) and ragdolls unshielded mooks. It one hit kills husks, cannibals, and geth and cerberus troopers with good aiming. It does not have bonus against armor or shields and is generally weaker compared to melee of smash brothers. It does have a decent force and staggers phantoms quite reliably. Here is the build I used: link

Biotic MURDER squad reduced geth to spare parts ( see above). There is but one thing that comes close and that is a Blood Pack sprinter MURDER squad.

Looww: I've been doing some duo challenges (Hamletic's Tales from the Trenches) with my friend. We missed a first one coz my friend doesn't like to play vanilla soldier because he thinks he's boring. So he chose vanilla human infiltrator, despite the fact that his notebook can't handle sniping very well. and we proceeded. So I was left with Avenger. We couldn't use two types of consumables in the match. Aaand my first mistake was that I did spec out CS, and since I've decided not to use ammo packs (and ops packs) I had to run from ammo box to ammo box... We were doing surprisingly well... until wave 9. We splitted to the two other sides of the map. Anub got sync-killed by you know who. I started to sloowly grind, killing lesser enemies one by one. I had inc ammo so at least that was helpful. At the end of the wave there were 2 Banshees left. There was no chance to beat them with only Avenger. I used my all 4 nades to strip down her barrier, and before I could start to work on her armour, second one came by. Mission requirements stated clearly - no missiles allowed apart from objective waves. I've been trying to take them down for at least 10 mins. Then I got pissed off. Stepped on that steep stairs, waited for those b...oodle doodos. They couldn't sync-kill me so I danced around them with my full auto Avenger. After a minute I pulled out my missiles and a second after that - "Mission complete. Enemy is regrouping". Esc -> Quit match -> Yes. Mildly surprised Mission_scrubbed hasn't shown up yet in response to the "HSol is boring" quip I am sorry to hear about your low, but I want to thank you for your honesty! If it is any comfort, I caused a duo to wipe a while ago because I unnecessarily nuked on extraction... after an epic 5WS gotten through waves 6-10 That challenge is supposed to be tough, I was trying to make the reapers feel threatening again There's a few ways for the HSol to get around the low damage of the avenger, though I agree that banshees are a pain if you are trying to get them on your own. I am sure you'll get it soon though, and I hope this accident won't dampen your experience with the series!

^ HamleticTortoise not by any means! I very enjoy doing these challenges. They are so much fun and demanding at the same time. And to be honest I find that 1st challenge somehow easier than the rest of them I should've skipped nades and take CS instead, so I could do fire explosions more often. You know, Incendiary IV on Avenger is even good-ish haha, since only thing you have to do is not to use 2 types of consumables. So I have a question for you. Do I need to take a screenshot of my consumables at the end of extraction wave (as well as my partner's)? Also, when we were doing that Turian duo on Condor, I had to clutch almost whole wave 8. It was sooo tempting to use a missile on last two Banshees, but Saber is a different animal you know Also shoutouts to my comrades docsteely and paulomedi for such a fun games yesterday. I'm reaaally starting to like Condor haha To be honest, only Hydra gives me depression these days... but I think it's just me being weird And yes Aragorn89 , I AM THAT JEALLY of your Krogan! Hope you'll show us his sexy moves even more in the future haha Also, I wasn't having that many issues with your host to be bluntly honest.

There is no need for extra screenshots, the whole concept of the challenges relies on the honour system I did max CS for my try, but still took 3 ranks in grenades (skipped the last rank in the passive for them, I find them to be a good panic button). However, I went for a cryo build, so spamming CS was my main source of damage; CS also has a bonus vs barriers, so it's a very good tool for stopping banshees. That's not to say I consider my solution the best, in fact I am happy to see other teams going at the challenges in different ways! I look forward to seeing how you complete this challenge - and all others! As for the Saber, well, Condor is a pretty annoying map, so I figured good kits and guns were necessary to make the challenge fun!

After a minute I pulled out my missiles and a second after that - "Mission complete. Enemy is regrouping". Esc -> Quit match -> Yes. You can kill Banshees on Plat with just frag grenades and only a little weapon fire. It helps a lot if you can bring their shields down fast, but it's not absolutely necessary. Apply damage to Banshee until she stops (best if you bring her down to armor only, as frags are usually specced for armor damage). Once she stops, look a little in front of her and bounce a grenade off the ground in front of her (or off a wall to the side). It will hit her but it won't trigger her palm of denial. Key is not aiming directly at her while throwing, rather aiming so that the frag hits her after a bounce. 4-5 grenades should eat halfway through her armor bars. Circle the map while replenishing you grenade supply and repeat the process until she's dead. If you do trigger the palm of denial, get into melee range to trigger her nova, after which she will be vulnerable to damage again. Absorb the damage with ARush. Regarding double Banshees - warp motherf*cking balls are motherf*cking cheating f*cktshits that can do verfickte scheiss U-turns if you play above 30 FPS. You need to always be aware if one is coming your way. Spec ARush for DR and extra shield to absorb damage and counteract DoT and always keep close to cover surface. When you sense a warp ball about to hit you, tap the omni-f*cking-button to stick to cover. If you do it right, the animation will be quick enough to make the warp miss you. Works for Atlas missiles, too. HSol also has a dodge, so you can dance around the second Banshee while still hitting the first. Try to halt the shield regeneration of your primary target. Regarding ammo types - when soloing, I'd usually take Disruptor for Platinum and Incendiary for Gold. Of course, with Soldiers AP ammo is also always an option since double hits and hitting several enemies at once compensates for the lack of TBs/FEs. And screw the warfighter gear; when wielding an inferior weapon you can't afford the luxury of not having 7 nades. Source of all this rambling: me, having done N2.III 183 Pull-ups on Gold and Plat.

Low: This game is laggy and terrible. I'm done playing pugs, everything is just rubberbanding and shields disappearing and getting one-frame killed by enemies that aren't even in my LOS. High: I have a new appreciation for the singleplayer campaigns.

High Flights vol. 3 1st: Played a lot of games with a lot of people today. It's hard to remember every specific game, there were so many of them. But I managed to play for the first time with HamleticTortoise He tried to convince me that he was rusty and all that stuff. Guess what, it was completely opposite We played a couple of games with my friend and bobbyfree 2nd: Eventually Hamletic had to go. Fortunately there was another assassin waiting. docsteely agreed to curry us and show some tricks For the last two games 09_Trooper joined us as well. All I can say - thank you guys Here's a couple of screenshots from our session. Exhibit A - A bunch of Krogans waiting for their victims Geth diplomats.
Exhibit B - A line of Krogans waiting for their turn to destroy some Toasters.Exhibit C - Diplomatic meeting between Krogans and a Geth councillor. They were probably talking about a place in the Council. Exhibit D - Asari meeting about Krogan/Geth situation.Exhibit E - Asari in a nutshellLoouu: There were a couple of serious connection issues today. A lot of lag, bugs and frame drops. Even I had to clutch a game for a moment coz Hamletic and Lonnegan got disconnected. It was that bad. I don't know why was that bad. I'm sorry for that. Also, as a bonus, here's an example of typical pug.

^^^ Very nice pictures, even nicer games. I had the pleasure, beside my regular pard-in-crime Sonashii (thanks for the invite, man!), to play one game with HamleticTortoise and several with bobbyfree (nice meeting you both, looking forward to play again!); I also managed to convince 09_Trooper (thanks, man!) to join us for the last two games. All the games were fun and quite fast: I think the maximum was an almost 22' games against Trollectors on White Hazard. The tops were, of course the all-krogan game (21' on Ghost Hazard against the Geth) and the all-as(s)ari game (18' on London against Reapers), which had in common a lot of heavy melees, though for different reasons... Oh and one personal top for me: Sweet revenge against those miserable phantrolls...

High: gave Demolisher with Venom another try. Respeced her for no fitness, maximum nades fun and this girl rocks Sure, I kinda sucked, but oh so much fun was had grenading and ragdolling Cerberus into oblivion. I swear, sometimes I almost feel sorry for the bastards... almost I think this girl might go on the "Like" list of the N7s after all Low: I think that, even despite all the bullshit, I'll miss this game, but mostly all the awesome characters when I finally give it away in April

Only highs yesterday in a string of games with Sonashii , Aragorn89 and inert ! You know it's going to be good when you open with an all-volus match and it just went up from there I rarely play plat, since I find it pretty boring in pugs, but I had an absolute blast in our two plat matches, first going for all-TSents, then as a quarian pilgrimage squad Thank you for all the fun! I look forward to more games with you all!

It's possible, but we'd need 4 people with AC, Recon Mines and careful positioning. I think the record was around 6 something minutes. MAgic mushroom ruled :
