It's a pity your Xbox account is retired, as I suspect we'd get on very well - I concur with all of the above. The only gun I will not use is the Shuriken, and the only guns I really hate using (even though I know they can be made to work with the right characters) are the Argus, Vindicator and Hornet - so you can see I'm just not a fan of burst-firing guns. Everything else gets a run out every now and again, although the Common weapons not-so-much on Gold. TSol can make the Avenger deadly on full auto though. Yeah, couldn't justify Xbox live anymore. Did get in over 1000 hours on it. I believe our Krogans should have met, shame they didn't. Glorious master race is cheap nowadays and the controller mod works great.

There's a number of weapons I dislike:
Shuriken, Argus, Valkyrie, Geth Pulse Rifle, Incisor, Mantis (not a fan of snipers in ME, though I can make them work if I make an effort), Geth Plasma Shotgun (I generally suck with charging weapons), Acolyte (it's reeeeaaaaally good, but I just can't work with a combination of charging and projectile, I just can't - inb4 git gud), Suppressor and the freaking Eagle. (Though I will throw it on my N7 Destroyer just for the lulz).
Everything else I either love or don't mind.
Out of all these I hate the Geth Pulse Rifle and the Shuriken the most. And to think that the Geth Pulse Rifle was one of the most powerful weapons in ME1!

Great at priming/staggering and pretty good damage, it's good on the GE or Destroyer. As far as the Acolyte goes, that's a L2P issue Try aiming for their heads or slightly above, you can follow the arc to see what it hits and how you need to adjust, bounce shot off floor if they're mid-range.

As far as the Acolyte goes, that's a L2P issue Try aiming for their heads or slightly above, you can follow the arc to see what it hits and how you need to adjust, bounce shot off floor if they're mid-range. This is solid advice, very well put! I love the GPS on the GE, but only on host. It's also a fun weapon for a properly coloured GI as well - though your teammates might disagree expect to get shot at. Another good kit to try it out on is the Jugg IMO; since the GPS doesn't require armour penetration and doesn't profit from the smart choke, you can go for the extra ammo/damage mods without really sacrificing anything; the jugg lets you tank while you get used to the charging and projectile speed, and it's a great gun for siege spamming As for the Eagle, try putting it on a fat Turian AP ammo with the soldier, headshot mooks, melt bosses. Inc ammo with the TSent, and you can also use it to prime whatever isn't killed in the first salvo. I personally like the Incisor in small doses; if you can control its recoil, it's not a bad gun, and there are a number of ways to reduce recoil: barrage gear, weapon mods, consumables, some kits... and sitting in hard cover. On the SI and QFI with their staggering powers, it's an interesting alternative to take out every now and then. The same kind of advice goes for the Valkyrie, though in that case I think the TGI is the better kit. Both guns were aquired tastes for me, so I understand if you don't feel like giving them more time Death by airlock to the Shuriken! OT: High: I did in fact try the Katana on the GE just now, and it's gold worthy, but not really memorable in any way. It remains more fun on the GI for me High: just had a string of really fun games. Good teammates, few missiles, interesting loadouts, good coop. A blast! High: that moment when the Huntress realizes just why you took the Novaguard along. Higher: the other 9 waves

I'm not the biggest fan of the Jugg, but when I do use him it's Venom all day (although the GPS is a fine choice I just love the Venom). Any projectile weapon is great for Siege Pulse spam. Clyde and I had a match a few weeks ago where he took Novaguard and I took the Claymore H. Adept. There were sweet biotic boom booms all game and the Trolls had no idea what hit them.

It probably involves saving the game to a USB and then editing things on the computer. I'd imagine there would be somewhere that saves the value (see: amount) of the shotguns amps or any other consumable item you have and you would just edit that to the number you want. The questions would then be are there any game breaking issues that arise from "hacking" your consumables and since MP data is saved server-side will the server's memory override the USB data (I think this is how saving works, someone can correct me if I'm wrong). crashsuit?

I know you don't have to charge the Geth Plasma Shotgun, but still. It's good even if you don't charge it. But see, I rarely host. Maybe that is the problem. As for the Acolyte, I mostly try bouncing it from the floor (as with the Venom), but it's the running-around-with-a-charging-weapon-until-you-finally-spot-some-enemies-that-still-have-shields that I don't like. Part of the reason I'm such a scrub is that even after all this time of playing, I often still have problems finding the enemies. When I'm with competent pugs, it sometimes happens that I'm running around clueless until the wave is suddenly over without me even spotting an enemy. Not on all maps, mind. But it does happen. But FINE, I'll try the freaking Acolyte on lolbronze or something, with that Concussive Cryo human soldier build.

Try it in a solo and only take the Acolyte so it forces you to use it since it'll be the only weapon. You could always do a Geth Trooper (or Vorcha Soldier/Sent) w/ Acolyte solo as well since it pairs well with Flamer.

Your inventory is stored server-side in ME3MP, so you need a memory editor like Cheat Engine to gin up the numbers. I've looked into a few ways to expedite the XBox manifest but I'm pretty sure I need a modded console to get anywhere, like for instance coal bin modding to change payouts.

High: caught MrsFlyingKebab and dragged her thru some platinum, since she's still chasing URs on that account. We ended up duoing Reactor/Cerberus when nobody joined. My GE/Black Widow and her QME/Arc Pistol handled business. Then we went Rio/Collectors and got some teammates. We got the short escorts on 6 & 10 and the spawns were behind us both times luckily. Naturally, I talked her into Glacier/Cerberus for a 17:30 speedie, plus we had 2 solid pugs helping out. We finished on Giant Hazard/Reapers/Gold using Lash on all the things. She was Brodept w/Scorpion (plink plink) and I was Smashadept/Falcon. Low: none

I like to thinnk I pulled my weight, especially as my first match is usually a death-fest for me, and we managed to do it even though my game chat get borking out.
Both you and the pug managed to save me quite a few times from getting nibbled by cookie monsters or cuddled by banshees though That last match was a hilarious mix of JIM/PLINK/RoooooAAAAARGH/YOINK!! I wish I could have stayed for more matches!(There was a minor low though...all that hard work and no UR, but I guess that means I just have to carry on playing )

Glorious master race is cheap nowadays and the controller mod works great. Wiser words have never been spoken before You guys should all convert already! 60 fps pew pew action, running'n'gunning while turning, MODS - you can max your manifest in no time, a lot of shotgun amps for everyone! And the most important - Controller support mod. And yes Clyde , I remember, I have to convince you with ladies argument haha. Well there are a lot of them here, all beautiful and wonderful. Also all the ladies from xbox/ps3 community can come with you guys. All the benefits, think about it! Also I've been talking with muahmuah about diamond difficulty run (never tried it). So you could join us and share the pain In other words - the solution to all your problems is simple:

There is a slim chance we might get a Steam box, which would enable me to have my fourth manifest But other than that it's sadly not feasible for me based on the amount of squawking I do: My only other PC is a work one and its in the home office, which is right by everyone's bedrooms

This is how I end up with no shotgun amps i haven't had more than a total of 10 shotgun amps since launch I know the struggle. I think I have 20, maybe 25 total. I use a lot of Vulnerability VI's when I'm not soloing or scrubbing it up in platinum. I don't remember the last time I used a SA in a gold match, if I use the Venom I just leave that slot empty.

So you could join us and share the pain In other words - the solution to all your problems is simple: The biggest draw for me would be having a bunch of teammates for the Themed Challenges. I mean, right now I have Forest on xbox but I can hardly ever catch him, same with Xan on ps3. But ew, peesea.I know, Clyde, it's a tough one. Just the maintenance of a PC (antivirus, updates etc.) is a major PITA. On the bright side I can confirm there are more ME3MP players, including n00bs, on peesea...

Well it's not hard at all if I may say that. I know it's easy to say this when I'm the IT guy. I had 3 PCs in my life. Only the first one gave me a lot of troubles, and it was during Win 98 era. Reinstalling whole system was a real pain. Nowadays even complete noob could do this without a problem. With good antivir like ESET it's not a problem to keep your stuff away from problems. Scan your HD with anti-malware software every now and then, keep your register clean and follow simple Internet rules and you won't have any problems for years. My second PC had one XP sys for 8 years without a reinstall. Now I have 3rd one with Win 7. It has 2,5 years and it works excellent. I won't touch Win 10 if I don't have to. So I don't get that argument. PC isn't that expensive either these days. I think it's just the matter of preference tbh.
