Meh As much as I appreciate our Quarian Master Manipulater being back, I've yet to hear a convincing sales pitch for this guy from anyone. We had this discussion in the PHOF thread, too. Subjective, I know, but other kits in the soldier class are more fun and other Quarian kits are more fun all together. In my defense, I'll say I'm always looking for creative ideas. That's why BSN lobbies are preferable - you can avoid all that cookie cutter Carrier/Reetard/Lamer crap. Need some anti toaster trolling? I'll go with Devastator Mode. Gitgud? Use the lore friendly Arc pistol on any other Quarian and start your L2Headshot lessons. A scrub like me who still can't shoot straight? Just Claymoar everything to death. Neither the Arc nor the High Lord shines the brightest with Marksman. Want to try a melee build? Spec the QFI for melee and let her compete with the Krogan bois. TL;DR I've yet to see the Quarksman fulfill a unique role/playstyle in this game. His "unique" aspect is that he's the only pure gunskill kit in this game. Even the other weapon platforms have some kind of aimbot or AOE crutch ability. The personification of elegant quarian minimalism. You will aim well, or you will get rekt. Glorious QMS has everything you need and nothing you don't. He has bulet  Play with Saber or Raider for best results. He can Snipe, Brophoon or Claymoar just fine but I find those weapons better suited to other kits.

I honestly think he is the best kit for the saber and is pretty much the only reason to play him. TacScan being a faster cool down vs proxy mine and with insane def makes him better than the turian solider with a saber. They should have given him tac scan and proxy mine instead of... whats that stupid power? I cant remember, so he could be super defbuff king

Yes, objectively speaking the Tsol has a better kit than the Quarks, but since when are we chasing meta and efficiency here in BSN? This used to be a place of culture, where we would take a Claymoar, Saber or Widow and show those Carrier TGI and Reegarbots how it's done.
Quarksman is simplicity in its' finest. You get no stunning power, no grenades, no high shields, no stagger resistance and no built in wallhax or stabilizers. You get nothing and you like it! You shoot good, or you die.
Plus he's a Quarian so that's automatic 10 points for style right there xD
Moral of the story: Git gud, scrubs.
(That said, it is a shame he doesn't have Arc grenades like his brothers. *Sad Quarian Noises*)

Easier yes but assuming high skill you're basically picking between dodge and base shields. that and a debuff that kills swarmers vs a debuff that actually lowers your ttk vs bosses. You already have Cobra for swarmers anyway.

Solos on the other side with the sample size is a pretty good indication imo. Best one is if the same player grinded both kits comparably.
But i agree, in the end if nobody's tsol (provided it s not only PUGs, but rather players that outscored you at some point) can compete with your Quarksman en lolconsole, u made your point. Especially as aiming is more tricky afaik

Aiming is easier with bullet magnetism and auto aim. Imo it's harder to snipe only because of the auto aim snapping to something you don't want, like a Swarmer when you'd want the Banshee. Might be the first time someone has ever said controller is easier than mouse and keyboard for aiming in the history of gaming. I mean it is easier (not better) in the sense it's more forgiving because of auto-aim and bullet magnetism. There's been plenty of times I should've missed shots and the game was like "Well close enough that's a kill." I've missed Claymoar shots on PC that would've hit on Xbox. When I play and I don't think about what I'm doing, KB+M is far superior. To add, things like strafing are [to me anyway] easier with a controller and that's how I adjust my horizontal aiming on Xbox; I play like I'm in a Halo 2 BR battle. My playstyle is different on PC where I tend to abuse RHA more and stand still using the mouse to adjust vertically and horizontally.

I thought the same until MW 2019 came out with crossplay and tournaments were won more often than not by conslol players. The narrative quickly shifted from "lol PeeSea mustard rice will obviously win everything" to "AIM ASSIST OP INFINITE WURD PLS NERF CONTROLLER SCRUBS" Of course that's comparing a pure shooter with a million fine tunable controller settings to ME3 where you can't even tune your sensitivity in numbers (just "Low, Med, High") I think the most limiting factor in this game Conslol vs PC isn't the aiming device. It's the performance (or lack therof) on conslol esp on PStriple. It's EZ to aim until the game turns into a slideshow because too much shit is going on for it to handle.

My Xbox can drop to single digit fps just shooting through Glacier's windows with any automatic weapon and probably drops to 15 or so just holding the control room on Goddess if there's more than 3 enemies in there...of course that's my favorite spot to hold  |
