I guess refrigerators is pay to win as well since with it you can have your food saved from going off longer. Anyway I won't be using my Atoms on repair kits. Dresses and hats take precedence! Would you consider Todd Howard knowing next to nothing about the game as well then? Because he admitted the state that Fallout 76 launched in was pathetic. No he didn't. He said "We knew we were going to have a lot of bumps coming out with the game, and we definitely had some, some of them a lot harder than we anticipated. It was a very new and different project for us," That was circa last month on the 28th at Pax East. Sure he undersold one of the worst launches in modern video game history but that's understandable, he can't admit to pushing out a quarter completed product that crashes every five minutes. But point stands, via his own quote he admits the launch was trash. What I'd actually call him out for is the assertion one can take away from his statements that all the issues are in the past, they are not and far from it. But point stands, you have been proven utterly wrong.

I watched every stream from Bethesda game days. He never used the words "trash" or "pathetic". Stick to facts and quit the hyperbole. He also said that the game did really very well. And that they will continue to support it for years to come. And today we got new quests and what not. Great times in Appalachia, as always.

And that they will continue to support it for years to come. And today we got new quests and what not. Great times in Appalachia, as always. Did you ignore the quote I provided? He admitted difficulty, you taking chagrin with my language issue aside you have nothing to rebut, hence the entirety of this is the assertion that wording choice was poor. Honestly, it almost looks like you didn't read anything little lone the quote, because I acknowledged I asserted that, not he. I also never asserted he used those words, I did. I said he admitted the launch was trash, which he did. Which it was. Which only people like you even try to debate anyone, get over it the game was a hot mess at launch, it cannot be denied. So stick to what was written and quit your hackjob opinion pieces boyo. .-. Wow, its almost like people really shouldn't get into it with people who can just turn around and remark that their remarks were factual, you can cry and whine and bitch and moan all you like about how he didn't say exactly that. That's fine because I never asserted he did say it, I said he acknowledged the launch was trash, nothing else. Him playing the PR game is fine with me, I don't care about his damage control, the world already saw what it needed to of the game and the reaction was what it was. Especially as I will say for the third time. He did acknowledge there was difficulty with the launch, his defenses were pathetic to me and laughable, the scandals that currently Bethesda is actually in a court case over are irrelevant to me, the game resulted in more amusement then I could have ever expected. Yet never did I speak for Mr. Howard, no sir, I remarked that he for once in his sleazy little career actually told the truth. ...Hard to lie about 76 though, the only real lies being done about it these days are by people to themselves.

Of course you couldn't you can't even defend against the assertion, only offer the defense of wording which was never an issue to begin with. I mean defend the launch as you will, Todd admitted it wasn't great, it wasn't nice or pretty and that at the end of the day is just the nicest way you could describe a game that was so unstable and buggy in the standard Bethesda fashion that it was unplayable for days for people who spent their hard earned money on it. Now that to me is an unacceptable little thing about any medium of entertainment I purchase, it has to work the day I purchased it, if it locks me out or bugs out or is so unstable to render it inoperable the day I acquire it, that is flat out just shitty marketing practice. Obviously you wouldn't consider the product done or even close to it at that junction and yet for many, many people that was indeed the case. And the end result of that? That beautifully moronically worded refund policy that is likely to see Bethesda lose their ongoing civil suit in the American Legal System.

I mean yeah the game crashes a lot, but you know another game that was so buggy to the point that was unplayable a game that I found even buggier than Fallout 76? Fallout New Vegas even today that game is very buggy. To be honest Todd didn't say the launch was garbage.

The game was broken junk at launch and they knew it, plus they are being sued for deceitful business practices as they should be. If there are people who find it worth their money, there's nothing rational people can do to change their minds, even illustrating with objective facts.

Tried coming back to this game over the past week but can't muster much energy for it. I'm in what I guess is the final stage of the main quest - I have to go find eight encrypted key cards so I can launch a nuke. I don't know if I just missed something in the dialogue with MODUS (the Enclave's underground AI), but I don't understand *why* they want me to launch a nuke or why my character should necessarily agree to this. Maybe there'll be some alternate path that pops up later, but I feel like there should have been an "uh...no" option when you're first asked to attempt a nuclear launch.
Plus, it sounds like all the key cards reset every week, and I have to keep going back to MODUS to get the location for the next card every time I find one - why can't it just give me all the locations at once?
