Also now that werewolves are again here being discussed! Kinda tired of devs straight-washing monsters with a lot of gay subtext, they did it in the first Vampire Masquerade game (although I'm hopeful this new sequel is gonna fix that even tho first persons games with no romance are no for me), and they are gonna do it with Werewolf Apocalypse which I'm not touching with a ten foot pole ew. I'm not sure that the parameters of a specific curse that Zathrian placed on a specific group in order to cause sufferring can be used as a baseline for all werewolf entities in the history of thedas that predate said curse. Particurly since common knowledge of werewolves is vague and contradictory in the setting. There could be multiple different types of humanoid wolf things that get dubbed "werewolves" despite having entirely different causes and rules, the lore would support that. He should've made them infertile instead of turning them into werewolves, or a plague that their limbs fall off. |

Anyway: you can certainly argue that Isabela is a bad stereotype (I would not necessarily agree with you, but you could) but she is black and a love interest and she exists. (And so does Raina! And she's not a Jezebel! She is a pretty inaccessible character as BioWare love interests go, however, since she's only available to one origin story and only to male characters.)
I don't disagree that BioWare should put more black female love interests in their games in future and that they should not be like Isabela, if only on the grounds that they did that already.
