Well of course it does. No-ritual can keep the original design; maybe add another 30 belts to her skirt and 4 extra birds worth of feather to her shoulderpads. But give MoMorrigan fantasy mom jeans with something less revealing. I don't think that creating 2 different outfits for her would've increased the dev cost of the game. We can craft 2 types of armor with various leg and shoulder combinations (+colors) for the companions, Alistair has a warden and king armor variants, Hawke has 6 'different' champion gear (yeah, reused models but still). I just meant that being a mom doesn't mean she should wear less revealing clothes. She's still the same person. (Though I think she should wear different clothes anyway 'cause that outfit is tired after ten years.) Obviously. But the kid is so creepy so I can't help but wonder that maybe she keeps the girls at the ready in case he gets hungry. *shudder*

I'd welcome anyone. Former companions, named characters that would make sense for the themes (elves, magic, wardens) should take priority but I wouldn't mind if we get new 'Cullens' too. He was an insignificant, borderline annoying character and they promoted him to an interesting, leading (ha, literally!) role. But! But! Whoever are the returning ones please, please! improve their looks and armors! I liked Leliana's spymaster gear but when Morrigan appeared in her old outfit... Non-ritual is sort of acceptable (even though that version spent years in the imperial court too), but MoMorrigan should've had a wardrobe upgrade. I think her being a mom makes zero difference, I just hate that she's been wearing the exact same outfit for TEN YEARS. Please god, Alistair and Leliana and Cullen and Dagna, even Isabela in MP, etc. all got outfit upgrades, so she stands out as some serious wtf. I read somewhere that they kept her in that outfit because it's iconic, but in this case I think realism should've won out... I did a presentation on mothers in BioWare games for some colleagues at a conference, and when the image of Morrigan came on screen, the entire audience (all female) burst out laughing. I was surprised at first, then I remembered... oh yes, it IS a fucking ridiculous sexist as fuck outfit lmao You forget these things sometimes when you've been playing the games for years and just kind of absorb the nonsense.

Somehow because Morrigan is a fit mom, instead of a perky 19 year old, makes her clothing sexist? I think a lot of women would take issue with you over that claim.

Anyways, on topic, I want to see Sten. I'm curious to see how they update his character now that we know what "normal" qunari look like.
Fenris is probably a decent choice for making a return since he has experience in the predicted lands we'll be exploring.
Tallis is also a character with a logical chance of being involved in Tevinter/Par Vollan... but Felicia Day is kind of like an expired meme. Even Supernatural killed her off. Not sure fans would care much about her return.

It gets even goofier when you see her wearing the same thing ten years later.

Yeah they come from a hot climate, but now they’re in a colder climate, won’t they feel even colder because they were from somewhere hot? Meanwhile Morrigan is mostly in warmer climates than she’s used to. She comes across more like the kids who grew up in cold weather and now can run around snow in shorts and flip-flops.

This is a good point. I'd love to see some Qunari being slowed down by their five layers of clothing because they decided to take their party down south. Not to mention some ambient dialogue from NPCs about how cold it is.
Unfortunately, if we ever get that, we'd have to wait a couple games or so.

It's funny because iirc back in DAO qunari hostiles took extra damage from cold because they weren't used to it, and for the last two games the Arishok and Bull and countless others have been running around freezing cold southern Thedas with their tiddies out. Are they trying to acclimate? LOL

There were some in the Carta hideout and some mercenaries in a random encounter* on the map. I'll go with Shale who has been returned to dwarven form decked out in LOTD armor and carrying a massive maul. When she's introducing herself she trails off mid-sentence and performs a mighty blow on a moth that strays too close...without batting an eye she returns to the conversation.
Fenris would be cool...and probably the easiest to reason through. It would be interesting to pair him with Calpernia given the dichotomy she represents for Fenris.

Hmm...a difficult one. I avoid the question and give a negative answer: Which ones do I NOT want to see again?
Morrigan - can we please avoid her from now on? Instead ... I rather want Flemeth to be back! She would make an excellent Anti-Dreadwolf-character for a story maybe?
Oghren - his drunken schticks have become like beer, a bit stale after that long time...
Sten - oh boy, I don't like Qunari in general, especially ones that seem to even like their own weird culture
Isabella - eye candy, but that everything about her seem to revolve about sexual innuendos ... nah...

Hmm...a difficult one. I avoid the question and give a negative answer: Which ones do I NOT want to see again? Thats refreshingly different answer. I like that.
For me its clearly - Leliana. She already had enough screentime in series.
But if i don´t want Leliana in DA 4 it means also no Cassandra and Vivienne. At least as Divine Victoria.
Corypheus - he should be dead or never come back.
Arl Teagan - I really hate Arl Teagan in Trespasser. He better don´t come back
Varric - I am a big Varric Fan but like Leliana its enough. He needs a break after two times in a row as our rogue companion.
But doesn´t mean that he won´t be mentioned in DA 4. I expect that other characters like Maevaris will tell stories about him.
Cullen - He also needs a break also i believe his story is done
Merrill - She should live a happy life with their friends and her optional lover Hawke in Kirkwall.
I don´t need more drama just for the sake of having it for Merrill.
Aveline - I would love to see her again but it doesn´t make any sense for her to be in Tevinter, Seheron or Weisshaupt.
and Alistair, Zevran, Morrigan and of course Leliana again - They shouldn´t appear in DA4 especially if romanced. I am tired that the DAO romances appearances in DA2 and DAI are always without their warden.
And Bioware will likely never show the warden visual again therefore i would love if the DAO romances can live a happy life with their warden offscreen.

I really hope the Warden never, ever makes an appearance again. I am afraid they almost have to “revanize“ the Warden for that, due to the multitude of combinations at the end ...
I already was annoyed they canonized Revan into a male douchebag, while she had always been a cool, calculated and elegant former Sithlady,of course..
And not mentioning Cmr. Shepards stupid fate ...
And Ryder will always be stranded and abanonded in a different Galaxy with open story
At least my Cousland Warden should be allowed to live a happy live as Queen of Ferelden ...
They also really went mean with Hawke, but I blame the fans for that ... for Ryder to, thinking of it ...

Oghren of course! I want Oghren to come back, then you and him can go whoring at all the brothels I'm hoping will be in Dragon Age 4. Then I want to see a scene where Oghren kicks the crap out of Varric, that would be hilarious.

I can't see them getting along, but I can't see them outright engaging in combat either. I think it's more likely that Oghren would just leave it at baiting Varric, with Varric smart enough not to take the bait. But that's assuming luzarius was being earnest and not just trolling by talking about a fan favorite getting beat up. I could honestly see it going either way at this point. Anyways, as for Oghren actually showing up, I could only see him being involved if it has to do with the Wardens. Otherwise, I can't really see why he'd have a cameo.

Judging by his Avatarpic i would guess that it doesn´t have to with Oghren and Varric personally. Its more DAO is great and everything beyond DA2 and DAI is bad. Oghren is DAO and Varric is DA2/DAI. But maybe i am wrong and i misjudge him. I wouldn´t mind an Oghren cameo in Weisshapt but he isn´t a big priority (for me).
I would rather prefer Warden like Nathaniel Howe, Sigrun, Velanna or even Anders/Justice over him.

Yeah, I feel like Oghren had an interesting arc, but it's finished in Awakening. Despite his alcoholism he still keeps in touch with his wife and child (provided your warden helps him to do so). And according to the epilogue he managed to earn respect for himself among the grey wardens stationed in Ferelden. He has no reason to go north unless there's something that requires all the grey wardens to be involved. And if that's the case, I'd rather they focus on one of the Awakening exclusive companions.
