Aw mate, that ain't good news... ain't good at all. While I can certainly appreciate where you coming from re the whole forum situation, even from my own experience, and while gutted you may feel don't go burning bridges yet if you can. Take a breath, stick around in our haven here and ignore the rest. Tbh, that's something that I've been giving a whirl for a while. Around here its the same folk you knew (and despite everything an occasional fresh blood) and its the same folk who make it worthwhile. It's quite quiet around here nowadays, as you know, so won't take up too much of your time to catch up on the things (unless you fall down some librabry rabbit hole again) and won't add to the stress much. However if you do decide to move on anyway, all the best bud. Thanks for everything you done for this community and... we'll miss you

Just wanted to chime in on the challenges burn out. It happens too, remember at your own pace and on your own terms, there ain't any deadlines to meet. Park them, and come back later. And soloing aint all there's to the Challenges either, i'd be honoured to run some duo/whatever with you! Alos, have a look what juicy stuff Mgamerz keeps churning out. Plenty to chose your pickings.

P.S. and you can't fool anyone, you're that fucking good. so yeah, ima we'll see the N7 title up there still

I will ask them to ban me from the rest of the forum, that way I can't be tempted. I enjoy much of the forum though, or did. Now, not so much. I have a stupid thing about being thought-controlled by others - lolnupe ain't happening is the problem.

I started doing the N7 Challenges because I was asked by a "friend" ( ) that has posted here in this thread. Plus, I aspired to be a better player since I thought I could be.

The joy is lost from the banging head against the wall. I am not really going to get any better at this game than I already am, that's pretty much where we're at. No time to play more; no patience for this volume of failure tbh <snowflake detector vibrates>. I am not an N7, and that hurts me.

Then I pug, and I am an unstoppable force of destruction on any difficulty, liable to mop the scoreboard off-host on a good BSNer's lobby of friends at any moment. This duality is too much for me.

Also, with teh solo skillz I do my thing until they fall apart, and then spend the rest of the match as a babysitting nursemaid. Something about the revive medals maybe... I get 5 grabs in most of my pugs now, I get a treasure chest full of medals, and it doesn't matter. But I need them, preferably 5 gold ones at minimum. I take a missile KS when I see it, don't care what round.

Somehow... I got tired

I can't speak on the rest of the forum because I only post and look here, but it sounds like you may need a little break from the game. I was in a very similar mindset toward it a few months ago, getting pissed at solos, pugs, the bullshit from the game itself, etc. It was the only game I played for like 2 years or so. I downloaded Borderlands and started playing that til I got sucked into it for a while. Slowly though I started getting that itch to play some ME3MP, just a game here and there, no solos, and stronger kits. I started liking the game again.

Fyi like MPApr2012 said N7 is at your own pace and the burn out is real. I think I've been going at them for almost 2 years now with months long breaks in between solos. I'm only attempting once or twice a week and if I fail; oh well maybe next time. Shit, you can always use an op kit and do a gold solo with it just to remember you can do it.

It really is a gem of a game. I've played a decent amount of mp, most of it pvp this is my first pve, and the community and this forum are great. In the end though it is your decision whether to stay or go.

I still remember your eBoner posts about topping the scoreboard while playing with pugs. I had some good laugh, as much as some eyebrow raising moments But it was fun. So don't you fooking dare to leave us before you 1v1 me babby in the Thunderome.

And I've been there, being burned out after some solo crap. But I endured it, got through it. You will do that as well. Small advice. Find yourself a duo partner and do some challenges. It's a lot more fun that way, and stress free, trust me. Currently I'm really enjoying The Witcher series. I find ME 3 not that addicting nowadays, but I'm still able to squeeze in a match here and there. So everything at its own pace.

So quit whining, shut up. We'll bang, ok?

Bad habits from pugging.... Absolutely.

I am an off-host warrior from day 1, when I realized my machine was a beast for this game and that made soloing the actual "max" difficulty the vanilla game was actually designed for. True 60fps.

I have played with you 120fps people; go jump in a lake I want nothing to do with that nonsense

First of all, finally - Sonashii shamed me as you all should have. We don't do retirement threads.

Second of all, I was a drama queen. I am absolutely furious about the current state of the rest of the forum, but that in no way means I should leave the forum and abandon my unit. I have saved many of your asses many times, and been pulled out of death's grasp by many of you more times than any of us could possibly count.

Third of all - I do need a break. I have played basically nothing else since the release of this game; the few exceptions being these -

1. Played DE:HR and enjoyed it, but didn't enjoy replaying as much as I hoped. Was disappointed by how DE:MD release was handled and still haven't bought it despite some great sale prices.

2. A little Portal/P2 because it is still funny and relaxing.

3. Just recently did all the story DLC for DAI. Better than vanilla, well done dialog and story as usual; garbage gameplay with KBM makes me mad so I barely enjoyed it and will uninstall.

4. Literally just finished Witcher 2 for the first time. Roche's path. Might play again, still a frustrating combat design and fuck the Operator with a Krogan dick.

5. Started playing W3 again. Actually got past the tutorial without getting bored. Too much elfroot syndrome; I have the old school Ultima mentality of "must check all the things for that one juicy quest item or hidden egg". Open world games turn my OCD into a nightmare.

6. Now I am in despair. Nothing I want to play, and unfinished goals in the game I care about and also am weary of.
