Did the workaround work? And yeah...RNG for gearing was a horrible, horrible idea. Whoever thought of it gets the pigeons too. SUCCESS!!! One of the posts was wrong about one fact; the reflective ability. It's not in the lightsaber constructed in the wilds. t's supposed to be there but it's passive, you don't see the effect. You're given this skill when you enter the fight with Arcann in the skill buttons that will appear. The key is not to bash Arcann at all. Find a good spot the moment he goes into his bubble and is immune to all attacks, meaning at this point you're supposed to walk up to him with the knight shield and bash him. Don't. Find a good spot where you're sheltered from the energy nodes blasting at you, holding the shield. The moment most of those nodes are gone and Arcann goes into his stance to power them up, drop the shield and enable the reflect dmg skill. Bring up the knight shield again, wait for the reflective skill to cool down while Arcann throws his lightning. Rinse and repeat. It takes several minutes, about 10 - 15, for Arcann's hp to go down but it will drop. I had initially thought to fight on the platform where Arcann goes to at the end and tried to draw him there but no go. He's scripted to fight at the bottom at a certain point, then port to the platform when he's bashed and knock back the player far away with his lightning. I was immobilised for half an hour as I tried to figure out a way to move, the toon was taking dmg but she was also healing so she could continue standing there infinitely, and finally had to do hara-kiri to reset the fight. P.S. I tried to help a player with this but he said he didn't see the reflect dmg skill appearing in the skill bar. I'm not sure what's going on. The toon that finished this is a JK and her lightsaber is built for resilience. |

I've been playing the KotET chapters on veteran difficulty. Woah, that's a challenge. I actually died a couple of times because I didn't react quickly enough and one fight was unintentionally harder than it should have been because all my legacy abilities got removed and it was a struggle to keep Lana alive vs. 3 elites. I suspect things would be easier if I played as dps with a healer companion... I might have to switch Lana to tank. Nothing I couldn't overcome but it's a far cry from just blasting through the waves of skytroopers.
The walker part was fun, although I died 3 or 4 times before I got through. ^^
It's worth it though. I get lots of CXP from the chapters. I'm going to try some uprisings next, especially since there's a bonus from winning D/L again. ^^

That was in the giant robot vs minis. I didn't realise there's a self repair button and kept looking for techs which, logically, shouldn't be there. There is definitely some slow responses. When I stomp, I only see the effect like 5-6 seconds later so sometimes it's hard to tell if I'm hitting the mobs or not. Nevertheless, I find piloting vehicles against mobs enjoyable. A refreshing change. Now if they give us something like a trench run in a starfighter or a dogfight somewhere, I'm all for it.  I got crap from a couple of CXP crates. I don't give s**** about the CXP. I estimate I'll get all the veteran force user toons through KotFE and KotET by the end of December. After that, I'll probably fiddle a bit with the guy warrior that has yet to finish his class story and then lay swtor to sleep as there'll be little to do in the game until the next story expansion. |

On the romance side of things: My trooper had a very short little convo and smooch with Aric right before going to 'claim the throne', and that was pretty much the extent of the romance content for her. (There was also a little convo when you click on him while all the comps are in the room before talking to Vette on Iokath, but you don't get any convo choices there.) Overall pretty unsatisfied with that aspect of things, though I can't complain too much since she HAS her LI back, when so many others don't.  So far my BH had a flirt with Torian in the shuttle heading towards Voss. I'm guessing there will be more chances for flirts there, just because we see him so much more through the story. |

We are because nothing in government on Zakuul has been set up yet. Additionally, the Eternal Fleet only answers to the Outlander until she / he decides how it should be dealt with. I doubt anyone has any idea how the fleet is linked to the commander. |

I'm moving the JK up and the first glaring thing I noticed is the graphics. My JK has a headband. It comes and goes in the cutscenes and I have no idea why. After examining the recordings I made, I can only conclude perhaps it could be deliberate; they want to show the new facial animation or something. However, this shows up really badly on Senya in the last chapter of KotFE. It's really really bad; someone squashed the dough.My JK is wearing this. But for whatever reason, the clothing changes when she pilots a vehicle and she has on one of those sith breather like mask. UGH! Chapter 6 is definitely glitchy, it took off the sprint and changed the clothing. On DK, Acina vanished underground during this confrontation. Every single mob concentrated on her. For a moment, I was worried that she wouldn't be able to do heals but she still managed to reach the JK. Ok, not too bad a glitch. |

If I close the game like that while a companion is doing their "roger, roger" after getting a crewskill mission, then it will hang. Just make sure there aren't any sound files being loaded/played when you close the game and it should work just fine. In other news: PvP and Uprisings are probably the fastest options for gaining CXP quickly. I changed KotET back to story difficulty, the slightly larger reward wasn't worth the time. Operations are probably even better, but ... I don't have much experience with those, so it's hard getting started. Might look into it at some point, now that I have proper PvE gear.  Ah yes, fully crafted and augmented 228 gear on my healer. With a 230 piece from the command boxes. I miss the set bonus from my 208 PvP set but the difference is just too large to ignore. I'll have to endure the 1.5sec longer cooldown of Healing Trance until the boxes spit out something with a set bonus. People did the math for it. Getting the best gear in game will take months, even if you play only one char a lot. You can pretty much forget about gearing up alts in a reasonable time... which could lead to people leaving SW:TOR. I don't know how long I can play just healer either. On the other hand... I can just craft 228 and that's not bad... but I don't think it's good enough for ranked PvP. Oh well. |

I tested a bit and I believe this happens when you're in a KotFE/ET instance when you log out. At least, that's how I managed to reproduce it.

Oh they can flat out eat a dick. The PVP lightsabers I got on two characters, the ones that cost 900 comms which came out to about four warzones on one and two on the other (with a transfer)? Now require valor 42. What it means practically is my lightsaber now does precisely zero damage. Fuck them, I'm done. Musco finally replied in a thread about this today, said it is unintended. No ETA on a fix of course. |

Maintenance today. Guess they're going to patch some stuff.
My JK was lucky earlier (my sith warrior has no luck), got two crates and landed two 230 armor pieces. I transferred the mods but I doubt I can gear her up to 230 totally. Not even going to try. Going to finish KotET and bring up the other three vet force user toons. After that, I'll fiddle around a bit with the rest of the toons. I will not play the CXP game. Let's see how long it'll take before I get bored and stop playing swtor totally.

No ETA on a fix of course. Well I'm suddenly more motivated to engage this content now. A little bit. Actually not much at all. But seriously, when I logged in and saw that I was ready to uninstall on the spot, expansion or other class stories be damned. I never had that happen before so I found the nearest mooks to my location at the time and attacked them to see what would happen. And my saber did zero damage. My force based attacks still hit like normal but even the basic attack passed through them like it wasn't there. It would've been funny if it was so goddamn abominable. Unfortunately that shell isn't readily available in modded form anywhere else but PVP anymore, otherwise I never would've even dabbled. I even got self-suckered looking for replacements when I found a purple 208 version on the GTN and bought and equipped it before I read the fine print (i.e. it wasn't moddable). For my guardian it was only a few points of endurance off, so it wasn't a big deal (just for the purpose of getting through the new story), but my original sentinel had 216s. I know they're almost meaningless now but still, downgrade and non-mod? Anyway before you pointed this out, I would've never touched the class again (my damn main to boot!), finished the other class stories and been gone for good. Now, I'm 99% ready to do the exact same thing instead of 100% and I may play my Jedi a bit more before the end. So... thanks! I'll post my thought on KOTET later. |

 first time ever that the server get so heavy on my saturday morning that I can't even log into the game. Yeah, I know, this is when the americans starts to play. This is why I hate being a sub whenever stuff like this happen. Now that I have KOTET, I'm starting to miss the two alliance crates rewards with heroics T_T not that I'm complaining about the 200 crates I get the last couple of days just by doing simple heroics. Now the credit rewards also go up and funnily I get 1 mill before I even reach level 69  |

I had to halt chapter 4 of FE for my second warrior because of RL. I couldn't get back to it despite resetting. It also persisted in giving me veteran mode. I had to do a sort of manual restart and I did chapter 3. At the end of chapter 3, the bloody thing threw me back to the character menu, leaving me to wonder if I have to redo everything. It didn't but that didn't soothe my temper one bit. |

I can't replay KOTFE fully, the replay ability is damn buggy. In Chapter 1, Vette is in her undies and I can't dress her, then I got pushed into a fire hazard and can't seem to shake it off even after dying repetitively, log on and off. Abandoned the mission afterwards.
Anyway, finally around 3-4pm I could finish Taris heroics and get to level 70. Did CZ-198 and Yavin 4 weekly and then Voss heroics and did korriban solo flashpoint. Nearing command rank 9 before my nephew accidentally turn my PC off while I was starting to do a Red Reaper group (which I don't mind since I hated it so much if I wasn't on my Sin/Shadow).
GC reminds me of the MMOs I used to play, its an end-game leveling tier. I do get all the rage about it especially for PVP and progression players who wanted the best gear in record time. But the system weren't meant to be accomplished in short term and I suspect there won't be a raised level cap with the next expansion. But I wished it wasn't a subscription perk, which didn't make sense at all.

So they go and nerf the CXP earned from gold mobs from 10 to 1. Which makes doing heroics (the only way I would have earned CXP) completely pointless, since you only get 20 points per mission anyways. Idiots. All the shite wrong with this game and THAT is what they choose to devote time to. I am so out. There really aren't words for the level of fail they are putting out at this point. My sub runs out on 1/4/2017 for the first time since launch. They get no more of my money.  I just canceled my WoW sub also, for the first time since 2007. That one doesn't run out until 3/1/2017 though. Haven't even logged into the game for over a month, why the heck am I paying for it? |

They did what?!
CXP needs a major boost, not a nerf. There isn't enough of it there already, it's going to take ages to reach Tier3 that way. Which means way too long before I get to play my alts again...

I've been busy and out of the loop but I'm excited to see Kotet is out. Does it simply continue with chapters or is there anything that cannot be done after starting Kotet?

first time ever that the server get so heavy on my saturday morning that I can't even log into the game. Yeah, I know, this is when the americans starts to play. This is why I hate being a sub whenever stuff like this happen.
